  1. Is this an interesting question. The GT-R is 8.5:1 You can make what you will of engine response compared to the RB25DET. An extreme case would be the F40 (7.8:1) or the VL Turbo (7.5:1). You would get laggy with the same turbo, gears, cams. Cost/benefit as always. T.
  2. Because he wants Kermit green Eclipse with checkerplate flooring, welded manifold and NAWS... T.
  3. Most of the Aussie "CF" bonnets are carmate copies and the like. Mine is a Bomex type unit and it's actually a bit better than the average one but it's still a cheap copy (not a true Jap CF). T.
  4. Here ya go... http://www.markpakula.com/skywp/ T.
  5. I'm reasonably happy with my alarm - but I'd like a mobile phone based track system at the least. It'll SMS you when the car is lonely. T.
  6. Frankie Lie should be able to help you It is an East Bear? It's on the tip of my tongue... T.
  7. No but you don't understand... The Aust. numbers are something like "0 280 123 456". The US numbers are "61307" for example. I dunno what the hell is "F00E00202". The 80mm item should be the one I'd imagine. I have a few contacts and they can look up the Aust. numbers. T.
  8. So what is the p/n? I suppose it is the 80mm throat item? T.

  10. Does he install EL kits as well? T.
  11. Could you email me the number? I need my whole central locking/alarm crap checked out. T.
  12. I only have the article in HPI special Skyline edition #3. T.
  13. I use OS Giken. Cam gears are largely over-engineered. HKS are rumoured to be weaker but it's old wives' tales. They are put under very little stress if you think about it and in all actually any metallic material should be able to put up with a rubberised belt. The Giken is probably the best, drop forged and hard anodised but what is the point? T.
  14. Nissan, Mitsubishi, Toyota even Hyundai could enter. They just need to come up with a few million for a team and field a 5.0 litre V8 live axled RWD sedan. They'd probably come last though because when it comes to dinosaur taxi cab racing, no-one can beat Ford and Holden. T.
  15. Would a HKS electronic torque controller fix this? I suspect only Dave Lee and Andrew H. would be able to answer this T.
  16. What's the nightlife like? T.
  17. I'd still hit it. The 1st movie wasn't all that bad IMO. The driving scenes were shot well. The 2nd movie however is just hopeless. T.
  18. Article in HPI a few months back. 8 in existence? Sounds like an interesting curio. T.
  19. N1 pistons are not worth it IMO. $250 each + $200 for rings. However I got mine for a very good price. Say close to $800 or so inc. rings. Use Nissan rings. They're good. GT-R's do break pistons and rods but they are tougher than GTS pistons. It's just that I didn't have the money to stretch to $1,400 forged and my HP requirements are meagre. If I do 250rwkW I'd be happy. T.
  20. Thing is 8.0 is getting down there... GT-R pistons get it to ~8.5 or so. I'd imagine 20psi is need for 8.0, perhaps 14psi needed for 8.5:1 - it's all guessing until you got the right turbo, ECU and dyno tune it. T.
  21. This Nissan Bluebird (u13?) came with a HUD on the upspec models. Legal I would imagine. T.
  22. There's a full article in HPI a few months back. Or are you looking at this? T.
  23. make an offer... Let's just say that I'm hardly surprised that 33 GT-R's are going for so little. Performance cars are as about as popular as Bin Laden around here. T.
  24. I have GT-R n1 slugs in my car and it's doughy off the line with standard boost. I don't know how big a turbo you have to run or how much boost you need to run to restore response. T.
  25. Dragging is the easiest. Stock susp. might even do. Soft at the back, maybe pineapples... front doesn't matter. T.
