  1. Yeah I'll be there... T.
  2. The general rule is -4 degrees retard exhaust, +1 degree advance intake. The Nissan NVCS on relevant models limits what you can do and generally, things are ok as they are on intake. I gotta admit two pretty coloured intake wheels under a plastic cover sure looks pretty. T.
  3. From what I'm getting here... the distance between the throttle body and the inlet valves is what is most important. It is irrevelant how long the inlet tract from filter to throttle body actually is? T.
  4. I CBF reading that appalling Engrish - it sounds like they made it as small and high velocity as possible. I think it uses the standard 6 throttle bodies instead of the Q45. Interesting as it goes against standard practice. Most large plenums (Jun, Greddy etc.) uses the Q45. T.
  5. Interesting how it constricts so much for #5 and 6. T.
  6. ~AUD$2,000!!! It better be damn good. Is there a pic? T.
  7. LOL Hill Road, Olympic Village Maybe we should invite the HWY along to make sure it doesn't get too rowdy. My reason for asking is that maybe some of us aren't ready or don't want to do EC just yet. T.
  8. The way I see it all we need is 400m stretch of concrete, a tow truck, ambulance and timing equipment. Sounds right? T.
  9. Redline is like glue it's that thick. It needs a lot of heat to get up to operating temp. I can feel it in the side console. T.
  10. As a last ditch effort, look at higher energy ignition. I admit I know nothing about MSD type units - in fact I was surprised to see someone on this forum revert back to a VL style "distributor cap and 6 wire" type setup. However some people have gone to Splitfire D1 coils and this solved their problem. But they aren't cheap. T.
  11. I know about track days but is it possible to hire a track for a Skylines only drag day for the weekends for example? T.
  12. This 100% true. If I'm taking the car over say 4,000-5,000rpm in every gear I'm already 25+ over the limit. To keep under the limit you have to shift DAMN early. The bottom line is that most RB powered cars have too much power and revs for our 50km/h streets. Skylines don't feel fast. Run it to 7,000 - 7,500 rpm and you're due for a 6 month license suspension. T.
  13. The problem is that you wanna be spraying BEFORE you jump on the boost. If your spraying WHILE you're on the boil, it's already too late. I assume you would have to activate before you boost. With that additional workload for you, I doubt it's worth the weight in water. T.
  14. Especially those pesky T88 powered ones... T.
  15. I would tend to agree with you about the vertical runners and the horizontal travel path of the air. Also one thing that some people do not see is that most of these plenums reuse the original runner tubes. The Greddy model does not (ie. it bolts to the cylinder head). Does that make a difference? I also submit this one: http://www.workshopx.com/development.htm Down the bottom. The carbon plenum. Interesting? T.
  16. That's a bit harsh and that might be levelled at all front facing plenums. T.
  17. I've seen lots and lots of Skylines up on the hoist and let's just say that Japan sees a reasonable amount of floods, salt spray from coast and snow. It's a testament to Jap cars that they do not seem MORE tatty than they are. See a panel man. T.
  18. **** that. GenIII motors are even more expensive than RB26's. I don't see a problem with the Q45 motor, cheap, lotsa valves, good power, no turbos and plumbing, and all Nissan. T.
  19. The best way might be custom rear pods + the standard 400r bar? T.
  20. I'm back to the type-m bar and no skirts or pods. I had to hack the shit out of the back of the type-m bar so that it fits the intercooler, oil cooler, cai scoop etc. etc. I'm going a bit more subtle this time. No more batmobile wings. Just my Signal Auto drift wing, type-m bar + a flat carbon bonnet. T.
  21. Jetspeed and UAS have the Jun bar. But look at it - looks like snow shovel. You know you're gonna scrape the roads with that. T.
  22. ROFL Email this thread to him. Ever since someone photochopped his car, he's been relatively silent on the topic of taxi's. T.
  23. IMO Advan RG's are up there with the TE37. Worth a similar amount, construction is the same high standard. 17 x 9 would be realistically $2,500 with good tyres. T.
