  1. If you have the AR's you might be able to match it to the HKS 3040 AR's. It'll give you an idea of spoolability. T.
  2. T51R-SPL and KAI are both BB (being top line models) as far as I know. T.
  3. Andrew (Merli) has one on his white GTS. T.
  4. Rebuild time. ie. one must get to the bottom end of the motor. Thousands to fix (mainly labour). T.
  5. This is a Mitsu lump? Prob. easier to go with a Lancer half cut. T.
  6. horrid running cost inc. insurance. also negative media exposure. The Nissan Skyline is now the preferred playmate of the Subaru WRX. The last R32 is a 1994. Last R33 is a 1997. As it is, that's an old car. I'm not slagging GT-R's off. I still want one. But you have to see the cold hard facts. T.
  7. The AVC-R GenI is a completely different unit to the AVC-R GenII. T.
  8. This is in his rearview as he's applying his lipstick... T.
  9. Car surfing should be limited to Grand Theft Auto 3... T.
  10. Can you guys get up Bosch and Ford p/n's? Would help if you rock up at Autobarn or your Ford dealer. T.
  11. Should be AT LEAST 275 litres/hour. T.
  12. See I told ya it's waz a t28... a t4/t3 hybrid is a popular upgrade. T.
  13. Series 4/5 Top feed, high impedance 550cc? These work with an RB20 rail? Meggala would know? THX! X0X0 T.
  14. t28. t25 is the silvia unit. T.
  15. Well Sydneykid comes up with the goods YET AGAIN! What he says seems to gel with what I'm hearing. Aftermarket cams be they HKS, Tomei, Jun etc. usually have everything dialed spot on. Drop them in. Instant power in the middle. But $200 - $300 sounds like a good deal for an alleged 10-15kW. But like all timing improvements, it's more FEEL rather than numbers. T.
  16. As a whole package, you'll probably find the Q45 v8 is lighter. You lose all the FMIC, piping, turbos, iron block, gay plenum. I have to own a Q45 powered Skyline one day The RB25DET probably weighs in excess of 250kg given all the bits that support it. T.
  17. The S-AFC helps but it's obviously not as good as the PFC at controlling emissions. ie. a car that fails to pass on the AFC will in all likelihood pass with the FC... and a competant tuner. T.
  18. The people doing the work on my car (Bel Performance in Homebush 9763 7022) have hooked up a scramble button on the steering wheel for the AVC-R. It should be cheap as it's just a momentary button. I'm not sure I want one of those as I'd be tempted to "HIT IT" at every traffic light T.
  19. Well $440 is just the pump. But I get fitting for free right now. T.
  20. I'm doing a Bosch 044. Not because I need the 330 litres an hour but because the people who are installing it can do it in their sleep. $440 from UAS and you know that's an avg. price. T.
  21. Yeah you just cut and splice the Nissan plug. Throw out the Ford plug. T.
  22. 245/40W18 Potenza RE040. Wheels, 18 x 9J six-spoke forged aluminum T.
  23. $3,000 easy. I can get them in from Japan but it's very expensive. avg. $400/500 shipping alone on container. T.
  24. Here's an idea. Maybe we can contact a plastics fabricator and come up with a flow tested design for a rb20/25 plenum in nylon and carbon and see how many orders and prices we end up getting. Sounds good? One of the problems with the Greddy plenum is that it is a big metal thing and it does weigh a lot. T.
  25. Yeah a non metal plenum would be nice and cheap too. T.
