  1. There is only 1 person to blame for the cars all being the same..........Max Mosley, a.k.a the man that is trying his hardest to ruin F1.
  2. it'll be M1 for sure, the R32-R34 only just scrape into M2.
  3. That's awsome, hopefully it will open the door for more WRC drivers to come down. Maybee Alister will join our team, no one else has. Is bates running in the showroom in his Aurion? Cause he's listed under normal modern on the Targa site.
  4. does it spin the wheels on the grass yet
  5. I thought I might as well post mine up, no one else did Car Model: R32 GT-R Year: 89 Rim size:18x9 Rim name/type Road: Panasport C5C Rim name/type Track: R34 GT-R Rim offset Road: +18 (I think, I need a 5mm spacer the clear the caliper) Rim offset Track: +30 Face type: ? Brake brand: Porsche/Brembo GT3 monoblock Caliper size: 6 - pot Disc size: 355x32
  6. There have been plenty of down 1700+ kg GT-R's here on std brakes, and the R33/R34 brakes arn't a patch on the R35 brakes. It will be very heavy on tyres though (esp if it can find R comps)
  7. still not as gay as last years earth car.....just
  8. Once you find Osama your alowed to buy a R34 GT-R
  9. What ECU you running? I saw the clip on youtube before, looks good, and sound like the passenger was a little nervios into the first corner
  10. The dash is pretty easy to setup, if you read the .properties file it has all the co-ordenants for the objects, it's not very hard, just lots of trial and error to get it all the line up. I'll send you all my files when i've finished it, the only footage i've got is the demo footage, I havn't got a cam yet. The eeepc is a laptop with a solidstate hdd (8gb SD to be exact). For Targa (where the nav can start it logging, and slam it in the glovebox ), and super sprints I think the eeepc will do me fine. But for proper circuit racing I recon it'd be a pain.
  11. and apparently the non JP version are just getting a hard coded 250k limiter. Something around that I think
  12. I wish Datalogit had onboard memory! That's when i'm getting the Asus eeepc, it's realy small (fits in a glovebox) and it's cheap (like $600), I can live with leaning over the press F1 button and close the glovebox (hell if i could be bothered I could probably basterdise the laptop and put a start and stop log button on the dash)
  13. it's that time of year again! 3rd Feb at Symmons Plains, hope to see some SAUers there. I've been waiting too see what diference my diff makes, and all my camber i have now http://www.lcct.org.au
  14. I got the attessa gauge logging on my FC-Datalogit, i'm gunna get a Asus eeepc to put in the glovebox and log. Where is a 5V brake line? the only one i've found is the 24V one. You like the look of the Trackvision Duncan? I'm 99% sure i'll buy a copy, esp since i invested 2 days on making a Nismo dash for it (speed, rpm, boost, attessa, tps, brake)
  15. My N1 vent arrived today , only taken 6 months since the accident!
  16. From the reviews i've read, the GT2 has apparently 'lost it's sole' because it dosn't try and kill you anymore. But still i'd rather be in a GT-R in the wet. And Richards is probably faster in the wet than most of us in the dry.
  17. I doubt it will be going past r&o's 997 GT2. And Porsche drivers never let you past anyway
  18. can't wait to see it down here, I hope I'll be about to have a decent look at it. What is the ECU like? Is it just 1 that does everything (attessa, engine, gearbox), or is it modulated like the 32-34's (differnt ecu for everything)
  19. I put trust pipes on mine. Mine were very well finished off inside, but I got them modified so I could bolt the turbo support on to them like the factory ones. And I had the engine out of the car (and they were still a pain to fit), but I recon they're great.
  20. Cars have been known to finish first in Targa with rock hard suspention (whites gtr). Granted they wern't hard shocks, but the car jumped all over the road with the spring rates it was running. I think Appeltons driving ability, combined with most of the front runners changing tyres helped with the result. Our Targa car came with SK type bilsteins with the coilover kit. They are brilliant. And at track days the car is one of the flattest cars round the corners (rest of the suspention is stock R33 N1). I've never ridden in a Aus spec Tein Skyline, But I have been in a Jap super street Skyline, and I would never recoment them to anyone. But that's just my oppinion
  21. the plumb back would be much easier to tune, and get better results, atmo's tend to make the car fuel up more when you have a maf. As you say NA engine do knock, but boost will make it knock sooner, and more sevear. We more talking about the timing to run.
  22. My brackets were $800, and that was on the cheap. They are very well built (csc alloy, holds both sides on the hub)
  23. we'r conserned that cause it's high compression it's won't be able to handle much knock, and an audible ping could be the end of it. you running a plumback bov?
  24. I was speaking to him about your car today. Do the knock sensors work?
  25. get it ready for Feb 3
