  1. no, i tried too this morning aswell
  2. i've found just ignoring the softwares afr guess is the best way to go. And just use the logging from an an1-2. But if you buggerrise round with the air flow curves enough you can get it closer. but it's too much hassle to worry about. I wish you could use milisecond injector tuning
  3. we have a twin catch tank setup on the gtr for Targa, but it's never got full enough to matter. But i know of similar cars with new engines that will fill the catch tanks in 5 mins. Alot of it is just luck of the draw. Easiest way is to test it on a track, you'll know within 5-10 laps if the catch can is going to fill up quickly. looks like i'll be crewing for dad this year (car 895), so come and say hi
  4. And the old qualifying cars, with grenage engines, blanked off panels for less drag...etc how much money did they spend to get the engines to last for 2-3 races?
  5. have to wait for TWP now
  6. oh well i decided not to run rookie, as i didn't have the monies to do it, and no incentive after the possable free entry to Targa was taken away. just have to join the local circuit series 3 rounds in, and get the car setup for next year. Which i'm guessing will be a 6 day event for the 20th aniversary.
  7. bring back sliding skirts and ground effects ftw!
  8. Nissan Tas quoted the same price for the R32 Brembo, R33 GT-R, and R34 GT-R. I suppled them with part numebrs to check.
  9. they were abs units though
  10. and wrc was run under group a regs +restricter from 87 to the mid 90's. most likely cockrone will keep the current regs to please the flanel wearing bogans, and demolish some more circuits.
  11. it was done in the back yard, just VHT crincle paint in a spray can.
  12. but what has the v8's devoping old tech got us... sfa. The only thing it's done is help people build awsome classic tarmac rally cars, which when you look at it is pretty poor. Our top level racing series tech 'advances' filtering to cars that are 30-40 years old. The road commo and coona have had IRS for 15 years or so. compare that to the advances group a gave us. would we have cars like the M3, GT-R, WRX, EVO if there was no group a....probably not. And the bigger question, would we still have a group a wtcc if Burnie wasn't running the show back in the late 80's If group a continued, Nissan would not have ruled for long. Remember there was plenty of awd rally cars that could have removed there restricters and moved to the circuit.
  13. so who's going to be the first team to rock up with kers. Surley someone is going to brake the agreement
  14. somthing simlar to the jgtc rules would be good. As there are some bits that loosly rely on some road car parts. But ditch the faggy restrictors and balest. and BTCC has been rubbish since the late 90's.
  15. unfortinatully i don't think many makes would run out at start making homoligation specials again...with the hippies winging and all. It would be nice if somthing similar to group a could return, and all the touring cars from round the world ran it. then the wtcc could be reborn with proper car (not the super touring rubbish they use now).....if only
  16. I hope the new rules have differences between the manufacturers. That way different cars have diferent strenghts and weeknesses, leades to good racing. In most ways the Group A cars are still more advanced and the V8's. BMW, Ford, and Nissan all had DOHC, and IRS.
  17. I read on autoblog today that Mercedes might be coming to V8 supercars because of some new regs called "car of the future" (should be called car of the current....but anyway), all i could find that cars will be run IRS, and DOHC V8's. http://www.autoblog.com/2010/03/14/mercede...try-down-under/ http://www.carpoint.com.au/news/2010/prest...supercars-18598 I havn't watched a V8 race all year.
  18. it's on right now, started at 10:30 (9:30 qld time i assume)
  19. seat rails 2.0, I had to cut the rails out and redesign them. Seat is now low and far back. still have to redo the front bar.

  25. you now have monies to buy a hooker to fix that. I've put a resnobly light flywheel/clutch combo on, exedy hyper singe. weighs 12.5kg vs the std 18kg. I didn't get a clutch or flywheel with the car, so it ended up costing me only slighly more to get a good new one instead of hunting a flywheel down, and getting a sports clutch. the rev limiter will be just past when the hydro lifters are going NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! it's all well and good to have big hp. but at the end of the day, we are still stuck on 8" rims, and you can only put so much power to the ground through them.
