  1. until we really start testing this set up its hard to tell. my personal opinion is it will be a great package in a 1100kg car.. with E85 we are able to make more power with smaller turbo which is great for throtle response and a nice flat power line helping with traction etc
  2. probly best to talk to a machine shop or wait for Greg R31 to reply as he does this everyday
  3. yeah i know just want it to be reliable as well and be able to add more power if needed for different curcuits like Eastern creek thats not good about the divider, i think ill be going individual EGT sensors on the manifold runners to make sure tune is as reliable as it can be
  4. havnt got any numbers yet, the set up is on a RB30with 26 head dry sump motor. i went this setup cause i thought it would be the most responsive setup but still achieve 500-550rwhp on E85 its all in a S14a silvia.. track car been setup for curcuit / time attack
  5. i have a t4 divided 1.06 ATP rear housing on a gtx35, like Jonno said there are a pain but nothing you should run away from. lucky me i can get all my comp cover bolts on and i actually ended up making a 200 degree open end spanner to help do up the lines still a bitch but works. im running a 6boost t4 divied manifold and bolts up not a prob.
  6. just get a just jap one or something.. really depends on budget and what you are using the car for. you can spend $150 for one off ebay or buy a garret core for around $650 depending on core size then get a well know automotive fabricator to design / make end tanks, end cost $1200 or there abouts
  7. i painted mine with caliper paint. didnt bake it or anything and looks really good
  8. ** waits for Greg R31 to se thread**
  9. i loved my SR20 use to have the motor & box out within 1 1/2 hours. when i changed the clutch i use to rip the motor with box out together done in like 5 hours and driving LOL the RB does take longer but once you do it a couple of times it gets faster
  10. i find pulling the box out with the motor is much faster. unless you have a hoist with rattle gun and massive extensions to undo gearbox bolts. mines a rb2530 with custom mounts and getting the the gearbox bolts are some what impossible.
  11. i got the same cams in my 2530 idel is not really rough at all, under 4000RPM is great. my car makes around 1bar at 3000rpm with GT35R .82
  12. has anyone noticed on the exhaust side of the head (RB25-RB26) there is a threaded plug that can also be used asa drain back to the sump similar to the rear head drain. depending the what exhaust manifold you have on there it may of may not be accesible. on my 2530 there is plenty of room to do this. just need to get around to finally doing it.
  13. that is GOLD!
  14. yes well that is great news, that was def the problem. in the process of fixing my f up lol
  15. i managed to figure out wtf i did wrong.. very stupit mistake.. when i was assembling the lifter bodies i managed to put them the wrong way around which is why they could no bleed down.. i i didnt put the check vavle side into the lifter body, but the other way around. we dont believe it has done any valve damage but will know more later today
  16. Im hoping that smashed valves are not the case! anywho going to be a fun night tonight
  17. the more i read around the different forums, some are saying to not pre prime the lifter before assembly, to let them prime once in the head?
  18. I have checked 5 times and had anther person over to confrim the timing is right...
  19. Hey Guys, so i pulled apart the hydraulic lifters for a clean as some were very noisey. i basically followed this - http://www.gtrpwr.com/showthread.php?t=726 except i cleaned them individualy and left the lifters sumerged in motul 6100 15w50 oil for 48 hours, then put the lifters back into the spots they come from. now after installing everything and checking timing about 5 times i have no compression in any cylinders.. if it possible that i have blead the lifters to much or am i missing something here?
  20. i thought WSID was introducing the new rule cause heaps of owners of new Fords & holdens where complaining about putting cages in there brand new $80K cars.. most these cars can run 10's for under $5000 of mods..
  21. i just started my car for the first time with ID1000 injectors and you can notice the clicking noise big time
  22. FRONT BAR SOLD FRONT GRILL SOLD REAR WING SOLD
