Anyone driving a Q60 that has done this mod or is willing to see if it can be done to their car? i'm about to buy one in a few weeks and i might have to get a Q50 just because of the head room I feel it's such a weird thing to not buy a car over another car.

Just do a ring around to the Audio/Auto electricians. The V35 has been around for a long time now and it's really common to install the double din and upgrade the audio. So i bet you'll find businesses with experience.

Having it only make the noise maybe once a week is going to be hard for the mechanic to diagnose. Maybe you can get a recording of it when it happens.

Not for our car. Never found a dedicated kit for the V36 only the V35 But you can google best locations for it.

Hey guys. I just like to post my experience with the grounding wire kit I got installed a few weeks ago. It wasn't designed for my car it was just a HKS one I found on ebay that I got my mechanic to install last service. I had one on my V35 which helped with improving my auto change gears. I wasn't having problems with gears in the V36 but I was having trouble with the lag in my throttle so I ordered the kit and also a A'PEXi smart accel controller to help with the throttle. In the end I didn't need to install the controller because the Grounding wires are great! It has reduced the lag heaps and made driving the car more pleasurable. Highly recommend if anyone is having any lag issues in the throttle. Might be just what you need. PS. I have a A'PEXi smart accel controller for sale.
