  1. As I recall this was a bit of a debacle; went on for ever... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/305804-roof-rail-replacement-kits/page__p__5205671__hl__roof+rails__fromsearch__1#entry5205671
  2. Nah, I'm running 245/45/18's on 18x8's; looks tops
  3. Front ones. It"s a little difficult due to the way the OEM ones arch back over the Lower Control Arm; but I think I've got it licked, at least for aftermarket bars anyway. The rear ones are nearly finished, I should have some at the meet on the weekend. Cheers, Dale
  4. What kind of price on 370Z rotors? I'm working on something at the moment...
  5. That's what I run on mine; I reckon a much better fit in the wheelarches, spot on for 9" width, and only 3% out on the speedo. Packed full of win!
  6. Thought I'd do a little bit more trial fitting for the upcoming Heavy Duty Front Sway Bar links today. I have a set of trial links from Whiteline, I've made some new mounting hardware, so; to work! Up on the ramps, link removed at sway bar end, loosening bolts on lower control arm; outer one is very tight . Flushed with penetrene, loosening & tightening, to work it in; left for an hour. Back to work, still very tight; oh well, lets get it out! More penetrene, more flushing; not going anywhere! On to it with the 450mm knuckle bar, about halfway out, turned the head right off it . Spent the next half hour drilling the f##king thing out, & cleaning up the thread; bound up & galled right in the centre. So nearly two hours wasted, finally I'm back where I started... Fitted the new hardware, looks like the concept is good; a few issues with clearance over the lower control arm; just need to make a few spacers for the next stage. The trial parts are a bit rugged, so I'll get some pics up at the next stage.
  7. Sorry mate, had my reply in preview, not send . PM replied.
  8. Just clayed my Stag, in anticipation of my midweek detail. Shiny Stag!
  9. That new grille of yours is crying out for a diagonal chrome bar, Aaron... At least the guy's got a sense of humour!
  10. All PM's replied; thanks guys!
  11. I'm pretty sure you'll find that they're both an ABS type plastic, one is textured grey (ARX) and the other is smooth, to take paint (AXIS).
  12. Why would you use aftermarket fibreglass? I can't imagine the fit & finish would be anywhere near as good as OEM.
  13. Easily. I actually think you could set them slightly higher than standard.
  14. Yeh, I was referring to the Stag in the photos, a decent panel guy should be able to solve your issue, depending on how serious it is.
  15. I'm pretty sure any RB starter will be compatible. There are different brands and different tooth counts on the pinion, but I'm fairly sure all will fit.
  16. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/358412-z32-300zx-with-vq30-twin-turbo-conversion/ http://www.nismo.com.au/Page_12.htm Not exactly the same but, yeah...
  17. They're pretty nice actually. And $120 cheaper in OZ
  18. Pics?
  19. I think the AR1M's are tough on rotors if not up to temp. I'll be going with the HPX pads when I do my upgrade.
  20. Nice job, very neat. Don't forget to trim the rubber strip on the underside of the bonnet.
  21. Absolutely, my local roads are far from billiard table smooth. You will notice some increase in harshness over potholed surfaces. Uprating swaybars has a side effect of increasing the overall effective spring rate over SINGLE wheel bumps and potholes. This is because the heavier swaybar resists the force applied the single wheel by the surface change, due to its greater stiffness. Over bumps and joins that effect BOTH wheels, the swaybar is moving in unison with the front wheels equally, and has no aparrent effect. This is due to the fact that both wheels are doing the same thing at the same time. One interesting effect I have noticed with heavier swaybars, is the resistance to bottoming out the suspension over single wheel bumps, which I actually consider to be a positive. Overall; I would happily trade a small increase in harshness, for the massive increase in stability and directness that swaybars give. Also given that the Group Buy sway bars are adjustable, you have the opportunity to tune the exact amount of response and directness, versus harshness that suit your individual preference and your driving style. Hope this answers your questions. Cheers, Dale. Principally, because the first shipment is 10 sets of bars. I won't promise something I cannot deliver in a fair time period. There will be a second shipment shortly after this one, so it will not be a long wait. I will continue while ever there is demand; I don't want anyone to miss out. The second reason is one of simple logistics; Anything larger than this can become a bit unwieldy. To be honest; the demand for these bars has been amazing. Just to give you an idea; I've received roughly 40 PM's regarding this group buy already, most of which have required research and detailed responses. I want to be able to deliver these kits with the minimum delay and no mistakes. That way no-one is kept waiting when they've paid a considerable amount of money. I'll be keeping the thread updated as the orders fill, that way everyone knows where we are at. Currently I have 3 cleared payments and one that will clear today most likely. I hope you understand that my priority is providing the best possible service in the quickest timeframe, anything else just wouldn't be fair. In your particular situation, I'm having trouble finding a freight method that will deliver to NZ for less than $200. If anyone can suggest something more affordable; please PM me. Cheers, Dale.
  22. I have my lightly modified Stagea, AND my povvo Mazda 323 daily with them. They'll do it if you have an "Enthusiast" vehicle with them as well. Both vehicles are effectively on the same policy. My Mazda just had $6000 worth of PDR done after a hailstorm; no issues, so much easier to deal with than the "mainstream" companies, and I don't reckon it costs any more. Also have my House & contents with them.
