  1. Thread wrecker to the wreckscue! I organised to have a pin dent popped out of my passenger door; only one on the whole car. Cashie; $60. Same guy just finished $6000 worth of dent removal on our daily. Like new except one dent cracked the paint, so now we have to get the cant rail done too. Glad I'm not payin'! Well only $500 anyway. Ok, back on topic . Who was that masked man? "Thread Wrecker; what a douchebag..."
  2. Oh yeah, "Ow, my ribs!" lol. Craig wasn't around when I was there? Chat in the chat thread; Weird...
  3. ^^^^^^^So much better than "Go f##k yourself you useless waste of space" I betcha he's pondering the $11.58...
  4. Like just in case you need to strip & rebuild your interior?
  5. I love the bit 30 sec in, when he lines up the S14 over the hill; looks like the S14 shifts into reverse, he it passes so quickly What a riot.
  6. This would still be a no-go even with the correct engine, right? It's the chassis number that would be the problem surely? Looks like someone screwed up & is trying to offload a turd...
  7. There's a small tab with a hole on the inside, back edge of the fuel filler flap, and a pin pushes out from the fuel filler aperture, through the hole in the tab. Voila! Locked fuel flap when you lock the doors. A rather nice touch IMO.
  8. When I put my MTB in the car I open the cover & the derailleur fits in there... On the other side I keep some tie downs & a pair of riggers gloves; for unruly backpackers...
  9. Not saying it's a bad deal Pipster, just that there are some hidden costs you might not think of in the heat of the "Holy crapshacks! That's a F##king bargain" moment. Whereas the Conceptz kit has everything you need. They do have some killer deals there.
  10. That seems pretty bloody cheap for brand new Akebonos! But by the time you add rotors (354.6mm x 32mm), pads & clips, you'd be close to the prices from Conceptz Performance .
  11. Spotted the elusive Lower Mountains AXIS this morning...
  12. Chuck a tarp or thick plastic down, then a carpet remnant on top. Carpet soaks up any big spills before they get to the tarp & go through any small tear or holes. They're cheap as chips from your local carpet supplier, they've always got a few metres of some ugly arse carpet hanging around.
  13. I believe Kristian is right in regard to this. Matt, head on over to the Stagea Discussion, you'll find there are MANY happy Northshore Prestige customers, and also one PM 35 owner (PN Mad) who purchased through Prestige. It would be a shame to purchase a car that cannot be complied, when there is an excellent source of quality vehicles through Prestige. Ask some questions there; the guys are really helpful and knowledgable. Good luck with your search, and hopefully welcome to Stagea ownership! Cheers, Dale.
  14. Those are no good for you. The fronts on your ARX, and all 4WD NM/PM Stageas are completely different. You'd be better off giving these a look; http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-NM35-STAGEA-RS-R-Ti2000-COILOVERS-/140518850653?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20b793805d Within your budget, theres a pic of the car with them installed to get an idea of height. Sway bars are a much better way of eliminating body roll, but I know where you're going with your line of thought.
  15. Nothing earth shattering unfortunately; Back to full soft on the BC BR front dampers after stepping up to the stiffest setting on the front sway bar. Got rid of the slightly darty response on some uneven surfaces. No real loss of turn in response, but much less "busy" on rough stuff, and I can always stiffen it up in seconds anyway. Replaced the two bumper rubbers on my fuel filler flap P/N; 78837-AG000. The original ones were flat as a tack, and as a result the fuel flap never sat flush with the rear quarter; always a bit sunken. Just a small detail, but it's been shitting me for ages. Dropped a couple of Nutserts into the front bumper support to replace the holes I tapped to fit the mount for my trans cooler. Nothing wrong with them, but the Nutsert will be much more resistant to stripping out due to vibration than the holes into the soft alloy. Another thing that's been bugging me for a while. Other than that; I also picked a length of 50x50x5mm 316 stainless angle to start manufacturing Heavy Duty rear sway bar upper mounts! More on that soon.
  16. It's the section of the Old Pacific Highway at Wooton is it not? When the bypass went in several years ago to rid the world of those things called "bends" that so many drivers are terrified of; this section became fairly disused, as it only gets used by local traffic. It was really overdue though, it simply couldn't safely take the traffic, and we deserve better for the major roadway between two states. It's a great bit of road without those pesky cars everywhere, but normally you have to watch out for fallen tree branches & heaps of leaf litter, that's how little traffic it sees. Do yourself a favour, break your trip & turn in at Wooton for a 20km detour of awesome bends and a damn fine winery "Great Lakes Winery " Steve & Robyn are great people & they make some damn fine wines!
  17. A SEARCH turned this up. I punched in; M35 Brembo. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/288150-m35-brembo-brake-coversion/page__hl__m35+brembo Cheers, Dale
  18. That, to me, is unnacceptable No touching cars for starters; I doubt he'd have enjoyed it if you'd "leaned" against his bike. Besides; any DECENT rider can balance in cleats almost indefinitely; I know I can. Do unto others...
  19. Yeah Jet, I gotcha. Jeez they even shit me off, give us all a bad name; then everyone cops a hard time. Nothing says fun like running into an open car door . I'm off for a ride this morning; my stupid mate thinks 70km in the bush today is a good idea. I'm not so sure...
  20. No you don't. Bike riders are arseholes; haven't you heard?
  21. The air filter is the same P/N as the veritable VL crumblydore, and about 11ty billion other nissans. So filters are easy.
  22. Okaaaay? I own 3 registered cars and 2 registered motorbikes as well as several bicycles. I pay several thousand dollars every year in registration and govt stamp duty. When my bicycle does even a billionth of the wear and tear to a road as a car, I'll consider registering it. So technically; they are MY ROADS! I have just as much right to use the road network as any car driver. As for bike paths; where I live, there isn't a dedicated bike path within 30km. What do you suggest I do? Walk along pushing my bike until I eventually arrive at a bike path, then blindly hope it will take me somewhere I might want to go? NOT GONNA HAPPEN! I welcome any lucid discussion or solution you might have, but spewing bile and ill informed vitriol is hardly constructive. See you on the road; ON MY BIKE!
  23. What an awesome test the trip back will be! Congrats on the purchase; enjoy!
  24. Yeah, you see these fat pillocks every weekend on the Old Pacific Highway, and any other decent winding road, 5 abreast, doing 15 km/h, purple & puffing through the bends. I was referring to staying in a lane a few metres longer to avoid getting flattened on a blind corner, rather than deliberately entering the lane to screw people around. I'm sure they think its hilarious to choke up the road on the way to their next latte & croissant stop, where they all sit around wanking on about their $10,000 carbon framed roadies... And surreptitiously gazing at each others lycra clad genitals. Move over and let the 170hp sportsbikes enjoy the corners. Douchebags...
