Yep, I'm going to let someone in while I'm driving today...
-
Doh, double post.

Yeah, a bit stupid to take a lane unnecessarily, makes it hard for everyone then. There's always a few bad apples, that spoil it for everyone, I try to get out of the way when I can, but no one ever wants to be the last car stuck behind the bike... Still if everyone could give & take a little; this thread would never have started. Also don't like riders who squeeze to the front of an intersection, so they can slow down all the card that just passed them... Just stay where you are, its no quicker

+1 Strippers.... & blackjack. Actually, forget the blackjack... Lol, I definitely want to come to this, it'll be good to catch up.

Bike riders are actually entitled to take a full lane on multi lane carriageways in NSW. Often the only way to ensure you don't get run off the road by cars on a multi lane road, is to take the lane. Then the cars must change lanes, rather than squeezing past in the lane, and running you into a pole, etc. As a cyclist; I'll do what I need to, to stay safe, and if that means holding a car up for a few seconds, I'll do it. I don't block cars just to be a f##kwit, but sometimes you have to. You wouldn't believe the number of times I've been abused and swerved at by car driver's in traffic, then when you catch them at a set of lights, the little pansies just go to water. Being in a car gives SOME people a false sense of security, and an air of superiority, and they often act very poorly towards more vulnerable road users. Maybe your guy deserved a spray, maybe not, but he's probably just trying to get to work, without getting killed. Just a thought.

Wtb: M35 Boot Door Latch Control Box
Daleo replied to joshm35's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
You should shoot Zei20l a message, he has an M35 that he's stripping at the moment. Have you tried Import Monster? There are quite a few cars stripped for parts on there, perhaps that's another option? Or even Jesse Streeter, if you know what you want; an email to him would be worth your time. -
The KYB gear should be fairly easy to get through Import Monster. A fella called Danny, who used to be on here a couple of years ago, fitted KYB's and low springs (Eibach's, I think) and he was quite pleased. This was before the BC kits became available, and all you had to choose from was $2500+ coilover kits (poor exchange rate) or lowered springs & Bilsteins (still fairly pricey, and hard to get). There are a lot more options now the cars are more common. I guess it's really a matter of how much you have to spend, and how far you want to go. If you only wanted new shocks; it'd be a fair option. If however, you were going to do springs AND shocks; that changes the game a bit. For the same kind of money (maybe a little more) as importing shocks & springs; you could do BC coilovers and then be able to set the car up EXACTLY how you wish.

Are Exstractor A Waste Of Money?
Daleo replied to 17yostagea's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Honestly, save your money for a proper upgrade to a turbo once your license allows. The cost versus power gain is pretty poor, I doubt there would be 5RWKWs gain, maybe a little bit more torque. Spend your money making it handle better, enjoy winding roads, become a better driver, then upgrade to RB25det for more power down the track. Years of wasting money on shit that cost plenty and made little to no difference has led me to this. Plenty of smarter people gave me the same advice; but I had to learn the hard way. Cheers, Dale. -
It's incredible huh? Almost like I'M MAKING IT HAPPEN...

No, see that's the best part! Apparently he's moving, but he's keeping it as an investment property, and he's got some REALLY good tenants ready to move in this coming weekend! It's incredible how things seem to be panning out for Symond...

For this next episode we need a bit of background. And you may need some popcorn. In dec 09, I was royally f##ked by a removalist who didn't turn up on the day I was due to move out of my house. I was in all manner of shit as the new owner was moving in only a day later. Arsehole mover didn't show up at the agreed time and was uncontactable for 4 hours, then spun all sorts of BS about why he was running late, his offsider was sick, I wasn't on this job list (somehow had my phone number though ) and so on. Was still promising to do the job at 1am the next morning. All of this time, I was moving anything that would fit in the Stagea & my trailer. I realised he had no intention of doing the job and the next day managed to find a mover at very short notice who did the rest of the job for an excellent price when they could've charged the earth and I would've had to pay . The new movers had come across this arsehole before and told me some very nasty stories about how the guy had screwed other people, I later found even one of my own friends had fallen victim to his particular brand of f**kwittage. Interestingly, they told me of his inability to pass up a juicy cash job in a big house. While I was having a beer at the pub, waiting for a mate to join me on Saturday; it occurred to me that there were now TWO people on my list. I then encountered the age old problem; how to screw two arseholes(I mean join two kindred spirits) with the minimum amount of effort? Apparently, on Saturday afternoon, the aforementioned mover may have recieved a phone call from a man who he believes to be living in Charlestown, who was interested in moving house! Coincidentally, he's desperate to get into his new place, which just happens to be a rather large, expensive property in my local area. On top of that, he's prepared to pay SUBSTANTIALLY above the going rate, IN CASH, to have the job done NEXT WEEKEND, but only if the job can commence at 4am Saturday. It turns out; that this certain mover has (from what I've heard) fallen on slightly hard times, and is extremely keen to do a short notice cashie for a man in need! What a stroke of luck! It seems he was slightly worried about the amount of travel to the start point, but was won over with the offer of a further large lump sum payment of CASH for his troubles. Also it had the added bonus of ending quite close to his own home base which, apparently he was rather happy about. Swings and Roundabouts eh? This post may, or may not be based entirely in fact; I'll let you decide. Welcome to the game gentlemen.

Nissan Gt-r Wagon Makes Debut At Nagoya Auto Trend 2009
Daleo replied to mattye's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
All these types of "facelifts" regardless of the quality, just remind me of Vee Dubs done up to look like Porsches, Celica's done up to look like Testarossa's and the final abomination; VK Crumblydores done up to look like VR's (talk about your massive waste of time) I'd much rather see the opposite; a monster, f##k off drive train, shoehorned into something ENTIRELY inappropriate. -

I'd be willing to bet it's a dummy set up as you say IMO that's the best way. That way they don't know what hit 'em! White station wagon; pfft. Green light; FAAARK! What the hell was that! -
If I Had To Buy Another Wagon......
Daleo replied to infiltrator's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
It's a bit like an overgrown, reeeeeally expensive Z3 coupe/wagon. I couldn't imagine throwing a dirty mountain bike in there . It's different though... -
Did I miss something, or are you asking if the 350Z upper arms fit? From my own research with the sway bars indicates that the 350Z rear, top arms look identical, but our subframe is 25mm narrower. This is why 350Z bars don't fit our car. To be honest, I'd be looking at offset A arm bushings first, that way you can still have decent ride. Most of the cheaper adjustable arms look to be built quite light, and the beefy ones are NOT cheap. The only reason I'd go to adjustable arms is if you were tracking the car, & needed rapid, easy adjustment.
-
The lower rear arms also fit. With hub centre to guard heights of 360mm front and 350mm rear I already have -1 deg front and rear. The lower you go from there; the more neg camber you'll have. How much neg camber do you want?
-
If you wanted to get rid of the "bluing" you could always re-polish it. If that's an photo of the actual system, it's still going to need a "mid"pipe, linking the dump to the front of the exhaust; it's almost another metre long, plenty of room for a cat.

Nice, we were scoping out the new shopfronts in the main street. My missus looks like she'll be moving up there with work, wanted to see how they're coming along.

Spotted Rosella's M35 at Leura this morning. Out exploring with my little bloke.

Spotted Terry's Blue R34 GTR this morning at Springwood on my way home from work this morning. Didn't get a chance to wave, popped out from behind a car going up the hill in the Stag. Very nice mate, very nice.
