  1. Nah man, Commodore pcd is 5x120mm, Stagea is 114.3x5 offset is ok +42 versus +45 (rs/ rx). The wheels might even go on, but you'll end up breaking wheel studs - not good. Late model Falcon is correct pcd, and offset is +40, so all good,as long as you don't go too wide.
  2. Definitely don't make your own brake lines, far too risky. Even places like pirtek won't make brake lines, even though the assembly is the same as any braided line with swaged ends such is the risk if not done correctly. Any specialist brake workshop can make adr legal lines to your specifcations and can assemble (or refer you to someone who does) with brackets or sleeves to fit in factory mounts. Never cable tie brake lines on to brackets.(my pet hate)
  3. Only joking, though it would stop the most frequently asked question, "Nice car, what is it?" It's how I meet people now...
  4. Don't mind the first one, the second is a bit fussy, too many surface changes, look like they should be on a yellow hummer. I reckon six spokes looks a bit funny too (Just my opinion tho'). Black will be a nice contrast against the red, a little machined alloy will pick out the chrome on the door handles. I'm a sucker for a black wheel. Something a little understated, with the right offset looks tough.
  5. Is anything ever cheap on greedebay anymore? People seem to think their s##t is worth more secondhand than when it was new. Just put "rare" or "only one left in the known universe" and voila! One milion dollars...
  6. Wow, thanks for the detailed reply! Very true, never heard of an engine failure due to fresh high quality oil.
  7. And replace with Volvo badge?
  8. The day I bought mine, reversed out of the driveway with the handbrake on "Something, something, something, handbrakeo" (Lady in japanese, obviously) thought it was hilarious.
  9. You should have no problems, going to +40 18 x8 from +45 17 x 7 pushes the wheel out about 17mm. When I measured I had around 28mm to inner guard lip on the rear and about 25mm on the front. This is at stock height, lower will introduce some camber, so you'll have slightly more clearance. If you're unsure use a straight edge (I used a 600mm steel rule) across the face of the rim, then up under the guard.
  10. Not familiar with the 300v Chrono, cost? Using k&n filter, what's the difference between it and the Veruspeed, not familiar with it either. Maybe I need to get out more...
  11. Using Motul 4100 Turbolight 10w 40 in mine. Great quality oil, not silly on price. Have used for several years in various cars. Not a single issue. Hope this helps.
  12. Have you installed yet? Could you post some pics and a bit of a review?
  13. Arse! Looks like I'm going to have to source something else...
  14. Has anyone recently tried to buy Bilstein shocks for an m35 through Sydney shock absorbers? I rang them today and asked, they told me they had them for earlier stageas but not for 35's. Quoted Steve the part no's in this thread, but he had no listing, and no knowledge of them. How are people buying replacement suspension parts?
  15. I've also noticed the surging when cold thing, thought it was just me... No extra power though.
  16. I have this bar fitted to my m35, Alex at Nagoya threw it in to sweeten the deal when I bought. It is a very simple setup, but just bolts thru the boot floor in the tyre well with some plates. Definitely not heavy duty, have been using without issue so far, but the unzud towbar is a much better proposition, imo.
  17. Bought my m35 through Alex at Nagoya Imports, he was very upfront and helpful.
  18. Definitely check alignment, but I drove a Liberty with Firenza's a couple of weeks ago, noisiest tyres I've ever heard even BF Goodrich Mud Terrains...
  19. Spotted a lowered red ARX with what loked like AXIS 18s on sat arvo on my way to wisemans for dirtworks. Flashed but no response. Looked hot, jeez I want to lower mine...
  20. Looks great! You think red is hard, try black... Would like to put a few of mine up since the detail, but not too good with computers... Any hints? D
  21. Great idea, K Rudd's giving me some money soon, spend it on something Aussie, keep the money here!
  22. RDA Listings; Front Pad: RDB 1232 Listed as Maxima Front Rear Pad; RDB 1509 Listed as X-Trail Rear Price; $35.00 Per Set from Specialised Brake & Clutch in Penrith. Hope this helps, Dale
  23. I don't think he was intending to buy new, I thought it was more a question about whether the poor exchange rate was effecting prices of imported parts... You are right tho', there is other equipment that is much more competitive on price. My point was that a set of gtr wheels bought secondhand would be cheaper than buying new wheels of similar construction. Plus, as the pics show, they look the goods.
  24. Interesting logic, if you like one bit, you should save up until you can buy the rest... I guess "nicer" is a subjective thing, just cos you think it's nice, doesn't mean someone else will. Besides, an r34 GTR rim is forged, so, light /strong and not bad value, if you buy at the right price. It's all personal choice.
