  1. I for one, am looking forward to seeing those brave offsets on your car! What did you end up going with, or do we have to wait?
  2. Optional sub tank? Stagea, like a Landcruiser, only better...
  3. That's right, std offset is +45. Most ppl are going anywhere up to +30 on 8"wide rims without clearance issues. If you're going aftermarket and aren't sure check an offset calculator or post the sizes here, someone will be able to help out.
  4. Goin' sweet Danny ,thanks. Yeh, work's been keeping me busy, once there's a firm date I'll do my best. Cheers, Dale
  5. Nice work Danny, height is spot on, car looks great. Where are you sourcing kybs from locally? Finally have my wheels back from paint and on the car now looks pretty nice, now for some low... zei20l, the delivery on those seems to be the killer unfortunately.
  6. Great to hear these are happening, well done! Prices yet, How many were you having made?
  7. You could start by syringing the reservoir empty, refill with clean fluid, remove return line at reservoir, (usually on the side, bottom one is feed line to rack) fit return line into the top of a coke bottle or similar fluid receptacle, remove fuel pump fuse (stops engine from starting, needed for next step) get someone to crank engine as you add fluid to reservoir to replace fluid flowing into bottle from return line. Continue until you are getting fresh fluid from return line, (I'd have at least a litre or two to ensure you get it all out) Reinstall fuse and return line, check for leaks whilst running; Done! Good luck!
  8. Spotted a white NM35 heading towards the 'riff on Northern road this morning, flashed, don't think you saw me.
  9. Congrats on powahhh, bloody respectable I'd say. Interested to hear your thoughts on the BC coilovers too. Cheers, Dale
  10. Never seen a cross brace over the front of the dash like that before... Supersize jesus bar? Like to see you get that through rego. Rest of the car looks good, stance is just right.
  11. Plugs arrived this morning! Thanks iamhe77, left trader feedback for you Cheers, Dale
  12. Interested! A direct fit kit would be excellent, Go Danny!
  13. Excellent! Looking forward to getting these
  14. Thing is, if the steering wheel wasn't removed immediately prior to this issue, it can't have moved on the spline. Removing the wheel and re-orienting it will not correct the original source of the problem. The rack centre position could be offset to one side, causing your problem. You should turn the wheel from centre to lock in each direction counting the number of turns, if it is unequal in either direction, any adjustment should be made at the rack ends with the rack centred. Then you can be sure that your rack (and therefore) steering column and wheel are centred correctly. Good luck.
  15. I would love to hear how you get on with these, they seem quite the bargain, if they're not too harsh.
  16. I've always just used a hacksaw blade and shaved off the fuzzy bits at the end with a scraper blade or stanley knife blade. Hacksaw blade allows you to take your time, but you still need a steady hand. Definitely tape the edge of your cut though, straight edge gives a nice guide and you won't mark surrounding paint accidentally. Good luck!
  17. Don't they have fire extinguishers at Darwin servo's?
  18. Be careful Munro, he's got "Staggered Starcorp Impuls" ... Race results; 1st; R35 GTR 2nd; Daylight 3rd; R34 GTT
  19. Good to hear you're back on the road Danny, does the high flow have much more lag than the std turbo?
  20. I would say that's about right, given your age. Geez I'm glad I'm old now, still remember getting a quote for my ET turbo pulsar back in the day, $5000 premium for an $8000 car... go NRMA.
  21. Good thing this is a car you like, I'd hate to see the list for a car you don't like...
  22. You can buy a thing called "Speedo Healer", used this on my last sportsbike when I altered the final drive gearing by 9%. Allowed me to get the speed exactly right, also had a maximum speed recall function. Unit was about the size of a matchbox, I bought a brand specific one for my model of bike; had harness plugs to wire straight inline. They do a universal one though. Cost was around $120, would probably be a bit more now. www.speedohealer.com
  23. I would imagine most of it would be packaging related, on an engine that big you can put the turbo near the end of the block, whereas in a car, if you were going to the trouble of lining up gear paths, just go supercharger.
  24. Sorry, no pics unfortunately, that was over ten years ago. At a guess, I'd say you're right, porsche seem to be leading the charge, in petrol engines. I think there's a couple of turbodiesel cars, (merc is one) that use variable vane.
  25. Good find! You could waste hours playing with that! lol
