  1. Haven't used KU19's but have had KU31's on two cars now; not noisy, good grip wet and dry, they seem to wear quite well. Good tyres for the dollars. Good luck.
  2. People (i use this term loosely) like you disgust me, take your garbage elsewhere and leave the adults to their business. I hope you die a painful and annoying death.
  3. An interesting one, if you've done o2 sensors but you're still using loads of fuel, maybe a crank angle sensor issue? Don't know what VQ's are like in this area, but several other Nissan's I've owned in the past have killed crank angle sensors and the effect on economy is terrifying. You should pick up a crank angle on diagnostics though. Also what colour is the smoke? As a general rule, fuel or an over rich condition will be black smoke. If you have a dodgy pcv you could be getting oil vapour, but you would be losing oil (a bit) and you'll get grey or white smoke, but idle quality also suffers. Hope you solve the issue, Dale
  4. I think most of us are aware of the old "coilover" chestnut. Given your expertise in the industry, would you happen to have a suspension solution for the original question (also for the RS/RX owners)? There's a few people (myself included) who would welcome a local solution rather than resorting to importing parts ourselves... Cheers, Dale
  5. I hope you're not holding your breath, I think this ship has sailed... I won't be wasting my time doing anymore surveys
  6. I was recently speaking to a guy selling BC coilovers on Ebay, runs his business out of New Zealand. Told him of the issues scotty had with them, he made enquiries to BC, apparrently, they have updated the NM35 kit (sept or so) to correct the issues. He was witing for updated parts for his kits at the time. So presumably, any kit ordered now, would be correct. Hope this helps, Dale
  7. Ok, final update, Parts came in on Monday, took the car down this morning, within 2 hours, the car was finished, ready to pick up. Works perfectly, and I'm now missing a rattle that was annoying me too! Window isn't re-tinted yet but have booked in at the window tinter's (same guys who did the fronts in 20% for me) Mechanic had already spoken to them and teed it up! So, I'm quite happy with the 24/7 Warranty service, and if anyone in Penrith has cause to deal with Aaron from Angus Mechanical Repairs, his work is quite good, he's honest and easy to deal with. Cheers, Dale
  8. I actually don't mind them, but I don't have the factory leather. The cloth trim is a much better seat, you sit more "in" than "on" the seat. Possibly some re-bolstering then re-trim in a better quality leather?
  9. You could scan a plenum gasket to achieve the same result, presuming they use one?
  10. The pump will do either, there is normally a little check valve in the flexible hose on a cheap bike pump that stop you losing the air you pump in.
  11. Nice work! Go the 31
  12. To raise your car using tyre profiles alone by 1/2 an inch is going to be a HUGE change in rolling diameter. Extra sidewall height will make handling fairly wooly. Plus the fact your car will end up looking like a 4WD. Sunraysias anyone? Time to move house . Can you approach the crest at an angle? That will normally help a bit.
  13. You would be better off removing the injectors and having them professionally cleaned. Not that expensive and they'll flow test them so you know you're putting back good gear.
  14. Nice work , definitely going to have to start investigating...

How many police cars would be getting pulled out of ditches and the tops of trees if ours were given something serious... On top of what they already destroy
  16. Definitely coming tonight, need to bring anything? Cheers, Dale
  17. I know, I nearly fell over, lol.
  18. I'll do my best to be there, but no cruise after .
  19. Recieved a call today from 24/7 Roadside today. Mechanic has submitted quote for repairs, $500 for new window motor, $250 for new window regulator, $150 in labour. Total $900. Have seen regulator mechanism, tight as all hell, definitely stuffed. I'd rather replace it than try to repair, then have it fail and have to replace it anyway. So as it stands, with $300 of warranty cover, I'll end up $150 better off than if I'd bought the parts, and done it myself. And presumably the new parts will be warranted against failure for a time. Not a huge win, but a win nonetheless. On the upside, the warranty company have been very easy to deal with and quick to respond. Also showed the scratch in the tint to the mechanic today, he apologised profusely and was happy to pay for the window to be re-tinted. Now I just have to wait 2 weeks for parts to arrive... Cheers, Dale
  20. I never got mine ,bastards!
  21. I had a similar discussion with the roadside assistance mechanic on sunday. Basically if I did anything at all to rectify or correct the situation, I wouldn't be covered at all. I wasn't really surprised, but it was a bit of a pain not being able to secure the car in the meantime. Mechanic called me today to comfirm vin/chassis number to order parts, so we might be underway!
  22. Yeah, fairly happy so far, definitely saved my bacon today! As for the scratch, it's only $40 to re-tint, so hopefully they'll come to the party. We'll see how things progress...
  23. Ok, I've noticed a few people questioning the worth of the aftermarket warranties that most people have when they buy imports. This week, the Drivers power window in my NM35 stopped working. Since I have cover to the value of $300 on power windows (which I know won't cover the job, but is better than nothing) I elected to use it. The experience so far: Rang their number on sunday to enquire about repair, automated answering service announces office hours (9am -5pm mon -fri) and a reccomendation to call during office hours. Not very surprising. Rang their after hour "emergency hotline number" this is basically roadservice. Spoke to a helpful mechanic who told me that there wasn't anything he could do, as he wasn't able to make auto electrical repairs; fair enough, he's set up for changing flat tyres, jump starting flat batteries and empty fuel tanks. Rang office at 9am, told them my issue, referred me to an authorised repairer in my area (within 5 km of my house). Rang workshop, arranged to drop car off to have window looked at. Calling out of the blue, I felt this was good service; the workshop owner knew that I needed SOME assistance immediately, at least get the window up so I can secure the car. Called him back at 2:30, car is ready to pick up, he's removed the buggered regulator mech, and fixed the window in position for the time being. I can now secure the car. Told me he will be getting a price for replacement part, contacting warranty company, so we can proceed with repair. Got in the car , noticed a small scratch in my window tint, but trim is on, not damaged and window doesn't rattle or anything. I'm going to let the scratch in the tint go until the repair is complete, giving the workshop an opportunity to come clean before I go any further. Will update as things continue.
  24. Damn, you posted this while I was excitedly typing! If Scotty nm35 was interested, maybe it could be supplied with the turbo flange not welded on, clocked in, marked and finished welded by the fabricator of the purchasers choice? A single weld like that, would only be a small expense. Just a thought.
  25. Well done guys! You've definitely done the hard yards! Looks brilliant Did somebody say Group Buy? Put me down.
