  1. I normally use a mob called Strut Re-Gas. They're Syd based and mobile, but I'm sure there are others. Normally around $40 per strut, amd the use nitrogen, not compressed air like some less reputable guys. Last ones I had done were still great 7 years down the track. They can also reduce the pressure in any strut to accommodate things like Carbon/fibreglass/alloy bonnets that don't need to hold a lot of weight, or increase pressure to allow for spoilers/wings that drop the bootlid on your head. I'll have a look for the number of my local guy and post it up. Cheers, Dale
  2. Settle down please. Insulting other peoples suggestions, while repeating someone elses is hardly a pioneering strategy, nor will it win you many friends. I actually weighed in on this issue several days ago if you cared to look before insulting someone you've never met. But hey, you're the only person on this forum with a valid opinion. My rule of thumb is; if you wouldn't say it to someones face, don't say it on a forum. I can assure you, you wouldn't be having that conversation with me. Your sig is right; you're as subtle as a brick to the face, and about as welcome.
  3. Lol at internet comment repeaters. Good thing he wasn't waiting for your sage advice. A day late and a dollar short. Well done friend.
  4. My money would be on a dead or dying fuel pump, or a presssure reg. Good luck, hope you find the source quckly.
  5. Red c34 Stag on Batt St Penrith this morning. Was in my black beast, waved, but driver had her game face on. Psyching up for work no doubt .
  6. Hmm, something wrong with my internerd... Reason I say this, my partner and I sent our 323 to our panel beater on a flat bed, after a side impact, looking a bit like that, a couple of hours later; he rings me in a panic, wanting to know if my partner had been killed! Said he saw a bit of blood, and commented that most small cars that have significant damage in that area are usually fatals. Very lucky, wouldn't like to see the same accident in say; a Hyundai.
  7. Never like seeing pictures like that
  8. If I were you, I'd do the new springs and shocks BEFORE you look at replacing bushes. When I did mine I lost a bunch of odd rattles and squeaks that I was sure were bush related. Another option around the same price point as the Nismo's, are BC's BR Coilovers. I fitted these to my RS, can be run at factory ride height, and are a very compliant set up on their softest setting. I know you aren't after adjustability, but for the price, the quality and fit is excellent; ride is far better than I was expecting; most passengers don't know it's aftermarket kit . Also, backup is available locally if anything goes awry; unlikely, I know, but worthy of consideration. Originally I was looking for something fixed, but I just set mine the way I wanted them, and I don't plan to touch them again. Just a thought. Cheers, Dale
  9. Gutsy move Scotty, hope it works out well, I think it'll make a huge difference, throttle response is my only issue with the whole car. Even with stock power output it's a pain, at your power level it must be a huge frustration. You're a pioneer, good luck!
  10. That looks sweet! Put me down for one please. Let me know when you need payment Cheers, Dale
  11. I think they'll end up too far inside your guards with that offset, won't look very nice, I'd look for something with an offset of at least +30 and around 8" wide.
  12. Bit of a boo boo in my original post. Khumo's are KU 31, not HR 31. Cost $290 per tyre in 245/45/18 although should be cheaper now, as this size is std equipment on VE 18's and also current falcon 18's.
  13. Ooh, ooh, me first! *elbows to the front of the queue* I'm also looking to buy a bridge and a large national landmark... Seriously, you'd be better off going to BC Coilovers and looking at their gear, well priced and good performance. Admittedly, they won't pay YOU to take it, but it's one option. It might be worth checking your original post, as it doesn't read quite the way you might've hoped, I don't think you'll get many takers for your std kit if they have to GIVE you a coilover kit AND cash...
  14. I have Khumo HR31's on mine, 245/45/18 on ARX wheels, this is quite a jump over std RS 17" rolling dia, but on a gps, my speedo is only out by about 3% as opposed to 9% with the std wheels and tyres. The larger rolling diameter hasn't blunted the performance by much, but the ride is muuuuch better than before, even though the aspect ratio of the tyre is smaller and the extra rubber gives a much larger footprint. The extra width will still fit easily under the guards. They are also a nice quiet tyre with astounding amounts of wet weather grip. Also wearing quite nicely after 6000km. Cheers, Dale
  15. Spotted white RS Four in the council carpark opposite Penrith Station
  16. Spotted on Mulgoa Rd, Penrith yesterday afternoon, Black S1/2, not sure which, saw you too late to toot, was in my black NM35. Go black, looked nice
  17. For your friends with the Exotic machinery, you would be AMAZED what the paintless dent removal guys can do. My missus car was damaged in a hailstorm at Eastern Creek a few years ago, hailstones were fist sized! A woman was knocked unconscious by one! Our Mazda 323 had in excess of 400 dents, every panel on the car was affected. Only one dent was repaired by a panel beater, right on the edge of the cant rail; above the drivers door, no internal access to push the dent. The rest were all done by the paintless guys. The car was PERFECT; absolutely incredible. Nearly $6000 worth of work though, but it only took 4 days. A full respray might've been cheaper, but no way quicker. Hopefully their cars are not written off, and are repaired, you never end up ahead in those kind of situations. Cheers, Dale
  18. Everyone seems to be ready for the worst from Nagoya, in my experience Alex is a very upfront guy. There is very little warning of impending turbo doom on these cars, so I don't believe this is a case of someone flogging a dodgy car. It's annoying for sure, no one likes problems immediately after a substantial outlay, but don't go off half cocked. Before you assume the worst, give him a call, be calm and explain the situation, I'd be very surprised if you need to threaten to achieve a satisfactory outcome. He does have a good rep with repairs and appears interested in keeping the good reputation he's worked for. Good luck, Hope you get it sorted quickly. Dale
  19. That would be me . BTW, BC isn't short for Buddyclub in this instance. My BC's are the "BR" version. They are a fair bit firmer than stock, (or at least my boat spec, worn stockers, which NM35's seem to be renowned for) but they definitely aren't harsh and crashy over bumps and rough roads (of which, I drive on a few), just well damped and nicely controlled. Mine have been in for nearly 2 months now, and I have had no issues at all, if anything, the suspension deflection over small bumps (i.e. pockmarked roads) has actually improved, so the ride is actually more supple than when first installed. In my opinion, they perform better than a "budget" coilover kit has any right to . I can only recommend them, based on my experience so far.
  20. Yeah, that was sorta the point of my question, wasn't trying to pick a fight They're not exactly the pinnacle of import car support in my area. Conversation went; "Nissan Stagea", "a f##kin what, nah mate, you sure thats what it's called?", "yeah mate, pretty sure, they wrote it on the back", "dunno mate, maybe you should check", "do you seriously think I can't read the badge on the back of my own car?" At that point the dude started to argue again, so I just told him I was going to go to a spare parts place that didn't insult their customers. He followed me out and stared as I drove away (no doubt confused at why I hadn't just told him that I owned a Volvo.) But if you're local one helps you out they're worth their weight in gold. If we support local businesses, we help local people.
  21. Is this still going? Pipster, others are on the right track here, the 60mm core will hold more liquid= win. Also the 3 core 40mm may actually be less efficient than stock due to the extra core and the extra restriction it presents. 60mm core if you have the room.
  22. You sir, have a beautiful car, welcome to the forum
