  1. I was AMAZED at the difference fitting a K&N filter, there is obviously a huuuge difference in airflow over a std paper filter. I would compare the improvement in performance to the equivalent of the addition of the 3 inch dump to my otherwise standard exhaust. It was a night and day improvement.
  2. Rosella, the tyres are just Khumo KU31's, just bought from JAX in Penrith, a pretty budget tyre ($260 each), 245/45/18 size is common to VE Commo 18's, so should get cheaper as time goes by, but I have used the Khumo's before & was quite happy. Not quite up to Pirellis tho'! You basically drive straight past my place (near Ugg Boot Man) on your commute! Would be good to catch up, not many M35's up our way! I'll PM my email this week if you like. Cheers, Dale Apologies for thread hijack.
  3. I run 245/45/18 and my error is approx 3% against GPS, which I'm quite happy with. Where in the mountains are you Rosella? I'm at Faulconbridge, I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.
  4. Spotted Jetwrecks beast on page 78 of Issue 123 of Performance Imports mag!
  5. I doubt that we're going to find the middle ground on crashing cars, and AFTER you crash is not the time to brag about talent. And I hope you're not seriously comparing yourself to Peter Brock... Still, if you have a look, there are a few guys on here that might be able to help you out. Alternatively, I've seen a few wreckers advertising parts on Ebay quite recently. Good luck with your search, hopefully your mates car is fixed soon.
  6. Skilled drivers don't usually crash their friends cars in my experience. Might be better to admit you screwed up, and understand your limitations, clearly enthusiasim and a misplaced belief in your ability, along with driving a powerful car are not enough.
  7. ^^^^ This was on a private road... Right?
  8. Rear passenger side glass is 720mm along bottom edge, load area side glass is 830mm along bottom edge.
  9. Get a can of Autoglym wheel seal for your rims, then you'll basically be able to hose the dust off.
  10. I used those TRW Lucas pads in R32 GTR calipers on my R31, very nice, from stone cold to the hardest I could push 'em. Get used to washing those wheels; they're dusty buggers...
  11. About another 10-15mm would be perfect...
  12. Fitted a K&N filter to go with the dump pipe fitted last week. Got to get the rest of the Exhaust done now...
  13. Thanks for that Andy.
  14. Sorry for the tread hijack. Thanks for the link Andy, just bought one of these! Exactly the style I'd been looking for, at about half the price. Which line into the radiator bottom tank is the feed line and which is the return? Just so I don't have to pump fluid everywhere to find out. Cheers, Dale
  15. BTW, I believe Black Needle Upholstery, out in Penrith will also recover a steering wheel for a fairly reasonable price. I only say this because most trimmers refuse to do steering wheels. Cheers, Dale
  16. Diameter is 365mm, but the std leather wrap is a pretty good look, those wheel covers are big step backwards if you ask me... Still if we all liked the same thing, everybody would be driving Stageas, and who wants that?
  17. That was supposed to read FROM NZ, not FOR.
  18. I'm sure there's a fella on here for NZ, coincidentally White with the Nismo kit, had 19x10 or 19x11 mesh of some sort, with seriously pulled wheelarches and very low. Maybe someone else can remember, his looked very tough indeed.
  19. Regarding width, yes. Rolling diameter seems to be very critical, not the 2-3% variation that other attessa equipped vehicles seem to allow. If you're looking for a new home for those 18's when you find replacements, let me know, I'm after a set of those. BTW, the car looks great, you must be busting to get your hands on it! Cheers, Dale
  20. I would guess O.E. would be more expensive than aftermarket (last lot I bought were around $400)and, the range of accessories for aftermarket is far superior. Thule and Rhino are a nice areodynamic profile which makes them much quieter. That, and the O.E. are so ugly, it hurts my eyes to look at them...
  21. I have the BR setup, all I can see that is different is the adjustment collars are a slightly different design, and they're gold, versus red on the VS. I would say the cartridge is the same. I think on other models, the BR has adjustable pillow ball camber plates as opposed to rubber mounted top plates. This is irrelevant on our vehicles, and a pillowball top mount would be much harsher & more susceptible to wear. I purchased mine on Ebay from a seller in Unzud for $100 less than Just Jap has as retail, and that was delivered to my door.
  22. Spotted a white S2 on Mulgoa rd opposite Grey Gums heading towards the freeway. I was waiting to turn into Glenbrook rd in my invisible Black M35. Why doesn't anybody spot meeeee? Lol
  23. Yep, a missus and a two year old, I was a bit worried when I fitted them. I have them on the softest setting, when fitted, my missus commented that the ride was so much better than before, much less "boaty" The original gear was pretty soggy. My 2yr old regularly falls asleep whilst driving, so I reckon that say enough.
  24. +1 for BC's; can't beat 'em for the $$$$.
