  1. wat size braided line do you have? i need -10 fittings and 2 x 1000mm and 1 x 1150mm lengths (of -10). Its for an oil filter relocation and oil cooler... I'm guessing this is too much to ask right?
  2. Who cares! Russian 33s are pretty cool none the less!!!
  3. Could be the fly wasn't skimmed properly, or if its a twin plate or anything, they make noise and vibrate a bit as far as I know... It might just need to bed in too, the vibration you're feeling might just disappear the more you drive, either way I wouldn't suggest raping it (unless you enjoy rebuilding/replacing gearboxes...) Speaking of which was the gearbox/diff in good condition before you replaced the clutch?
  4. the actual sensor rotates a few degrees on the TB. the mounting points have a screw each, so finger tighten them and line up the the sensor, while the throttle plate is at idle position untill you see .45 -.5 volts. youll prob need the ignition on but not the engine running... this should help: oh and make sure the tab for the sensor is in front of the level on the back of the throttle, like this:
  5. why are you putting one in anyway? stock one should work fine... not to mention, id question the accuracy of it too...
  6. Ksweetthnx. What about the line? Is braided hose a definate need or is heavy duty rubber ok? Should i need a thermostat for the cooler too? or is that not really a need? Also, what size are the outlets on the top of the cooler? are they likely to be -10 or -8? they are 8mm ID and the thread is like 17mm @ daniel: the cooler came by itself. got it from a member on here...
  7. Hey. Just bought myself a super dardy 10 row oil cooler, just need some help with it. ive got brackets for the cooler and filter already sorted obviously i need an oil filter relocation kit, but how do i plumb the cooler in? should the oil go: block > filter > cooler > block or: block > cooler > filter > block? also ive got the turbo's oil feed coming from a filter sandwich on the block, so do most relocation adapters have ports for feeds and oil pressure senders or do i need to tee one of the lines? also is braided hose a must? or would heavy duty oil retardant blue stuff be ok (with the appropriate fittings?? Thanks guys!
  8. haha nah no airbags i dont think... im mainly getting the coilovers for the handling, not really gonna change the ride height too drastically.... too lowered itll look like a fkn gay minitruck sorta thing and too high itll just look half like a tough 4wd, half like a street car. = fail. standard ride height, maybe an inch lower would be good...
  9. yes! this is the first thing i would do... VERY unlikely... in and out shaft play is the one thats not tolerable, im think that even a mm or so, isnt too good at all. having said that, i think the condition of your exhaust wheel is the key here... have a look at that...
  10. Perfect seller. Got my cooler, exactly how it was described, well priced and arrived in perfect condition!

Thankyou, will use again + recommend.

  11. Yeah light offroad duties, beach and dirt tracks but obviously no rock hopping and mud pits. I'm keeping the current stock wheels for some offroad tyres, so i can have offroad tyres on the stock rims, then the 19s and street tyres on the others. Final tune should be late this week, early next week, ill call Andrew and book it in tomorrow.
  12. i really have no idea man, the shaft play is very minimal, doesnt blow an smoke, no noises, boosts well etc... I'll upgrade anyway soon, cos its pretty small, i'd love something with more head room, like a 2876/71 maybe. Something good for 350-400hp. I'm not looking for anywhere near that power level, just want something with a bit more push. and the wheels are dirty AND need repainting, but im not gonna bother, im getting a set of these soon, as soon as money provides, thats the next thing for the car, so theres no point in painting them again i figure. re: the writing on the tyres, i did them like that when i was going for the 4wd look, which never works that well with a soft roader lol rest assured, new low profile tyres with said wheels wont have the 4wd look haha Cam.
  13. I love it man, well done. A lot of effort for good results, you should be proud! Black with gold wheels looks sex too.
  14. Do you have any rich spots in your tune, even small events? i.e. just coming onto boost, or injection cut on deceleration? Are you getting any misfires, especially on boost? as i understand it, plugs foul cos of rich condition and/or lack of spark (not igniting the mix) maybe something to do with the gap? with 22psi (going by whats in your sig) you might need a colder plug. most people run 6s on stock engines/lower boost. what did your tuner have to say? good luck bro
  15. In theory, if they are as tight, they should be as sturdy, possibly even stronger than stud + nut combo. Just make sure they are of the same grade or better, and that they screw the same if not further into the head as the studs. IFAIK, most manifold studs screw 10-20mm into the head, so as long as your bolt does the same, it should be fine. Make sure to be liberal with loctite, to be extra careful...
  16. +1, suprised more people havnt explored them... ive seen a 1000hp AWD drag supra with a TB42 and 4wd running gear...
  17. haha yeh no problems as yet. needed a software update before i got it tuned, but apart from that, nothing!
  18. haha i'm no one just a fellow SAU user... Jjust saw your name is Ian from the details to the left. its a bit more direct that saying: "Is that you driving, 'sshhh'?? lol whats that M5 had done to it? Sounds like heaven is actually under that bonnet, not in the sky! haha
  19. i get exactly the same problem with my x-trail... im using an EMS stinger with a MAP sensor, and ive come to the conclusion its from 'noise' in the vacuum line to the MAP sensor. im gonna try to put a filter/vacuum reservoir in the line see what that does. Is your Haltech using a MAP sensor for the engine load? or is it throttle position? i.e. are your sure its TPS related?
  20. is that you driving Ian?
  21. thats fkn awesome! now that guy can drive a car...
  22. lol dont start with these things again. they are useless. utterly useless. RE: turbo kit, go custom. Get in touch with a performance workshop see what they recommend in terms of engine management. Get an exhaust shop for your exhaust needs, dont buy off the shelf, pre made-zorsts are always more expensive. my recommendation: twin 2860rs, haltech or EMS 6860 ecu, 550cc injectors, bosch 040 pump, custom exhaust and i/c piping, FMIC, <10psi should net you 350whp. so yeh, about 10k all up, for a reliable powerful set-up. almost worth a VQ30 turbo conversion... (check this out)
  23. Is that one of those things that adds plasma particles to your fuel when you come on boost? f**k yeah...
  24. Hey guys, bit of an update. Car's back from Hyperdrive with the new throttle and oil drain. I've just got back from Malaysia too, and picked up some small goodies while i was there... Found these little chrome badges and went to town on the back of the ex. And yes, I just made up my own Model designation GT-L is a luxury sport version I should go to Nissan with my plan... Couple of HD stickers from Andrew, proud to have this on my car that's for sure... Sexy gold forged ally wheel nuts.3 This is the (great) work that Andrew and the boys did on the throttle. Its from an SR20DE so its 65mm IIRC. Stock one was 70mm so its not really a noticeable jump. Didn't think I'd loose any power and from driving around, it doesn't feel like i have. Maybe a bit better low down in fact, and definitely more response - prob cos its manual instead of automated. Note the first pic of the pedal, i had to keep the stock pedal cos the sensor on it controls the 4WD split. So It wasn't just a case of using the GTi-R pedal (the cable came from a pulsar GTi-R)... Still thinking I'll upgrade the turbo soon. looking at a KKR430 or a 2860r - depending on funds. I'd like the KKR cos its a little bigger, should have more power, but the 2860 is a QUALITY snail... Both should work well on my motor I think. But for now, the car just needs a final re-tune, the dyno was booked out last week, the new throttle changes the airflow into the engine, so that needs to be corrected... Cam.
  25. remember hes got one of those super-rare, super-special, automatic transmissions. there's almost collectors value there! lol
