  1. should have brought the f6 to the texikhana, would have been nice to have another boosted ford there.
  2. Great pics 91RS. Got a couple of my xr6 so im happy.
  3. thanks for a great day guys. I had a lot of fun and got to drop a few skids in the xr6t. Only thing i'd change is that last battle, everything else was great. Is there a list of times that comes up at all? Would be nice to compare.
  4. sounds like too much time on pga mick - Dont think you'll need it for this event. I intend on rocking up exactly as it is on the street, i did it at wakefield park so i'd assume this would be the same. Can't wait for the weekend. Hoping for good weather!
  5. The power isnt usable? Are you serious? Plenty of effortless torque and with decent tyres and a reasonable tune you'll have no trouble even when modded. The criticisms about weight and handling are fair enough but there are also some pretty questionable arguments against them here.
  6. From all accounts on the xr6 forums they are. The 5 speed manual and 4 speed auto's will die when you up the power but the 6 speed auto is very good and generally fine until you are hitting high 300s at the rear wheels especially if you change the fluid, of course some will have breakages sooner with abuse or repeated hard drag launches but when you're chasing a low 11 or high 10 on a standard gearbox in a heavy car you have to be realistic about potential damage. As for the previous post about costing - compare a new f6 to the cost of a new r34 gtr at the time they were available, because everyone seems to be favouring it over the GTT. That extra amount goes a long way.
  7. probably a good idea otherwise people will think there is space left and keep sending money or get their hopes up.
  8. I'm more concerned that frank and N1GTR don't seem to be bringing cars. Don't see how they're going to make any smoke with their runners
  9. My mate can't get on the PC today but I'm putting his details through to you now.
  10. just wondering if you got my form? I faxed it today around lunchtime, if you didnt let me know so i can resend. I can also scan and email it if you PM me an address.
  11. For an outsider who drives the other car (xr6t) this thread is pretty funny, especially since the xr6 forums have a similar thread. A true enthusiast should be able to appreciate what both bring to the table, and others have said they are very different things. I personally wouldnt bother with a 34 gtt, if i was buying a skyline it would be a gtr or nothing. - the f6/xr6t is a comfy car that with a small investment can put down some excellent 1/4 mile times while still being very driveable and the sort of car you can drive anywhere without freaking out that it'll be stolen or getting pulled over and defected every time you pass an rbt. Insurance is suprisingly good as well - around 1/3rd of what i could have insured an s15 for. I got my bf2 around 2 years old and about 40k on it for under 25k. Bang for buck they are a hard car to beat for a daily with enough go to keep most people happy especially when modded. - The gtr handles better, has the reputation and you'll get more 'respect' for it but for the same amount of cash you're buying a much older car. Great for a weekender/track warrior IMO but not something you would necessarily want to subject to daily use especially if you managed to find yourself a good example.
  12. faxed and paid. Also with the AASA license i've got one i got from wakefield park that says Club Comp license and it expires in July. That's enough isnt it?
  13. Could anyone give me a bit more of an idea on what this is? Do we have timed runs around a short course? Is the skid pan wet (I've never been on one but seen a few that are) and will a set of tyres usually survive the day? It sounds pretty good so far though. I found this on youtube and if thats it i'm paying asap: Don't know how well i'll do but my xr6t can make some smoke If its raining does it still go ahead or get rescheduled?
  14. my set arrived at my mechanics yesterday. Cant wait to pick them up tomorrow.
  15. fantastic furniture. Cheap, a lot of it looks good and a few of my friends have lounges from there and you'd be hard pressed to see a difference between them and some 2k lounge sets from other retailers.
  16. well i cant edit that message so nevermind, I have enough posts so I've PM'd you about the two im after.
  17. also post up your timeslip details. The 60ft time should tell people how well you got off the line which has a big impact on et.
  18. mt et streets seem to be the go for for pure drag use, but you'd probably need to run them on your stock rims.
  19. Theres plenty of idiots that drive anything but it doesnt help when something like a skyline or 200 becomes cheap enough for just about anyone to afford one. The worst thing is they wreck insurance prices for the decent drivers.
  20. sounds expensive, but when its all done before and after pics will be pretty crazy.
  21. new proxies are popping up all the time so its hard to block them all. Something to consider is how much crap you'll be in if your work monitors web traffic and the IT department sees you hitting up proxies trying to get around the measures they've been told to put in place.
  22. Hot rims, they'll look good on almost anything!
  23. p plater laws have stuffed up some areas of the market, an NA shouldnt be close to a turbo but the same thing happened with the 200sx. Great if your off your Ps though, not so good if you are selling a turbo.
  24. i wouldnt have one as a daily because if it was and old one in good condition id want to keep it that way which might be a lot of work. If it wasnt in good nick you dont want it as a daily anyway..
  25. I'll take a set but I can't PM you yet because I don't have enough posts. Can you PM me your email address?
