  1. This sums it up exactly. Nothing set even remotely the same. Stick the front wheel drive golf on a wet track then put any of the AWD cars on the same track dry and they will kill them. It's a waste of time.
  2. PM Sent. Thanks for the heads up Cameron.
  3. Could be my old car. The new owner lives around Freshwater. Plate BLT-***
  4. I had the same problem on my car for a little while. When it happens next, move your key slightly forward in the ignition barrel (not to the cranking point) and it should all come back on. I had it happening on big bumps and thought a plug or something was loose. Turns out its just my ignition barrell was a bit dicky and I had heaps of keys on my key ring at the time too. So the key seemed to shift a little. Would not stop the car from driving fine. Just killed the stereo/tv etc and the air con would stay on the speed it was last on. Exactly as you described. If you can I would stop the first time you try it. It just needs to move the smallest amount. I hope that helps. I took some keys off and I did not have a problem for 6 months up to when I sold the car.
  5. Picked up my spacer last night. Very neat bit of kit. Big thanks to Andy and Craig for organising it at such short notice. I really appreciate it guys. Oh and Craig.... You could of let your missus go shopping mate! That phone call exchange between you and Andy had me in stitches!!! Thanks again. Andrew.
  6. Hey guys, I have an offer at the moment to do a swap with my car. Nothing is set in concrete, but it looks like it's a good chance of happening. So the age old question arises. What is the general consensus on what my Stagea is worth? 2002 RX 68000kms White Leather Twin Sunroofs Bose system with Sub English screen conversion DBA Slotted front rotors and upgraded pads Nismo S Tune suspension K & N Filter Plenum Spacer (soon to be fitted) Transmission Cooler (soon to be fitted) TV Tuner and steering wheel audio controls (not fitted yet) Rear badges removed. Car is very well sorted now and has no exterior marks or scrapes. Carsales is killing the value of these as there is a shonky mob based out at liverpool putting these up for $15K and pretending to be a private sale. (I called one of them and they offered me a three year warranty!!!! on top of purchase price) Anyway, please let me know what you guys think. I don't have any current photos but I have photos of when I got it last October. Just sits a little lower now. I know it's a vauge area but just looking for some rough figures as I don't wish to put too much coin on top. The other car is up for $20k but could use some money thrown at it to tidy it up a bit. Thanks for all your wisdom gents. Looking forward to see what everyone thinks.
  7. Love it. Love it. Love it.
  8. Are you chasing a bigger number tomorrow or just trying to get more low end power? Great job fitting that up. I have an old cooler under my house. But it's a 100mm thick so I think it's a wee bit big for the wagon!
  9. That's really crap mate. I would be ringing REVS or whoever you used to check it out and asking them what their policy is if you were to use their service and the vehicle found later to have finance or similar. If they say there system is accurate or similar then let rip on them.
  10. Sound like he has has a notice to see the DECC. I got one of those on my last car. Is that what the notice has on it? If so he has to remove nearly everything. They not only look at what the defect is for. They look at everything. The inspection is called "anti tampering" so anything that has been modified. I was also told by the police who issued me the notice that if the car was caught again with the same parts back on it registration is cancelled on the spot. They took photos of everything. Did your mate have all that happen? If he just got a normal defect then PM me and I can help him through it.
  11. It is pretty good. But it's not an old mini. 1999 Rover Mini Cooper. Jap import. Auto, Air con, Airbag, Green Leather, Woodgrain and fuel injection FTMFW!!! She is sick of people wanting to buy it and taking photos of it whenever she parks. Also has differnt plates now. DAMINI. Lol.
  12. My fiance drives this around as she is not very comfortable driving big cars. Can't get much smaller than this!! 20L fuel tank gets about 300 - 350kms!
  13. Sorry Roy, the two post part was not aimed at you. I just I found another thread about a car stolen from harbourside and thought the camera info might be helpful. Are the cameras good enough to get a face picture off? Start putting the dirty pricks face up on every forum you can find. Somone would know who it is because they need outlets to sell the parts through.
  14. Found the above in another thread. Don't know if it's any help.
  15. Are there any cameras in that car park or the area around the exits? There has to be a least one that would of caught your car being taken from that area. So sorry that you have to go throught this shit.
  16. So should anyone be renewing their contracts with QuikTrak. My father in-law just got a renewal notice with an offer of an upgrade as well. BUT the manager's name at the bottom is Cameron PALLISTER. From reading this thread I am gussing that the same family is running the company still and I would be very worried about continuing to use this service. Chris could you advise any further on your customers experience with QuikTrak in it's new form. The website qiktrak.com.au says absolutely nothing about any of the problems in the past. Thanks for your help.
  17. Beacause it's an automatic N/A SR20. It knows what a waste of time a 'launch' would be. So your car just can't be bothered. I thought you were going to get a manual one?

That thing has got some straight line speed. Drove by the Evos easily.
  19. I reallyl ike that install Scott. Very neat.
  20. My old VX Clubsport R8 with a 6 speed box ran 13.7 stock. Also ran a 13.8 and 13.9 the same night. Boy I miss that car sometimes.
  21. Hey Matthew, I have an RX as well. In white! Got any more pics of your new toy? The guys at Northshore may know how the MD unit works.
  22. Love it. I was keen to bag mine but I just can't justify the cost right now. Because you have to factor in a massive set of wheels to take advantage of it and to finish it off. It woudl set you back at least $4K to do it right plus another $2K - $4K for wheels depending on your taste. I would still love to do it. I think it really suits these cars as they are so comfortable. That car must have some decent compressor and lines in it to get up and down that many times so quickly.
  23. Congrats mate. Which model did you end up getting?
  24. Thanks for the links mate. Just joined up. Will post some pics once I work out some cars.
  25. Had my Nismo S Tune suspension fitted and a full wheel alignment and balance yesterday and boy does it make a difference. The car feels great. Can't wait to get some decent rubber on it.
