Just so it's clear, wheelspin, track prep or lack thereof or the shittiest of launch has absolutely NOTHING to do with mph. In fact, in most cases a slightly slower 60' time reults in a n extra mph put on in the top end.
That 106mph is showing less hp than the dyno sheet indicates. That's all. Practice, practice, practice and get your short times down to 1.8x and you stand a chance of running in the 12's.
Forget messing with the subframe beyond the pineapples which you've already fitted. Ditch the 18's and fit up 255/50/16" MT ET Street Radials and practice more.
Will do. Leigh from Extreme Turbo Manifolds called me to let me know that the new manifold and rear housing are back from getting coated so I'll put it all together and take some pics soon
Standard valves, Tomei springs. You will absolutely love the box from Fred, mate. You're about to have bags of fun.
1.5mm MLS Cometic gasket from Sliding Performance just arrived. Great deal and super fast delivery - almost shocked when courier arrived with it just now.
The gearbox and the engine mounts will be fine - especially if it's a dyno queen. The VL boys are running mid-nines with R33 5-speeds now and they're copping more load than you could ever put through a box on the dyno.
Just a small point. Have any of the people bagging the VE Commodore ever actually driven one? I've driven a dozen different models from the lowliest Omega through to the Clubsport and Maloo and the chassis and handling are both bloody great for an Aussie built car.
