If you aren't going to run 24psi+ Don't waste money on a GTX. They are not viable unless you screw boost into them. All the results on this forum show that.

Suspension To Firm!
R31Nismoid replied to camoo's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Personal preference always plays a big part I had Nismo S Tune and IMO they were rubbish! Way too hard. -
Are you wanting more or less than 300rwkw on PULP? The GTX results really haven't been stellar on PULP and sub 20psi. If you want 300rwkw or less on PULP get a run of the mill GT3076, tried and well proven for that range. Cheaper as well. The GTX you really need to stuff more boost into it, and E85. Which will see you to 350rwkw easily with 7500rpm, but that's going beyond stock motor limits realistically if you want to last for a reasonable amount of time

Garrett Medium Frame Gtx Turbos
R31Nismoid replied to SimonR32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
A GTX3576 should easily hit 400rwkw on E85 you'd think? Given a run of the mill GT3076 on E85 will do 330rwkw or there abouts on it. You'd need to be running some decent boost of course. -
Midnight Purple - 1995 R33 GTR V-Spec This car is perfectly built to be an above average modified street GTR that you can take to the club level circuit days on weekends reliably and without issues. Where are you guys getting mozzie's from at this time of year? Can't say I've seen one for almost 2 months and i leave my windows open 24x7 in my place so usually get 1-2 come through every few days during summer
-
Cannot see any benefit to going RB26 on the setup mentioned. GT3076 + manifold on a stock RB25 with a decent tune. All you'll ever need in the budget arena Everyone else has said what i would.

Of course not, he is the driver essentially on the out. Unless after 3 more races and Web's is higher in the points scale and performing better etc - then it'll still favour Vetool. Don't forget that Web's has only really risen back to the spotlight so to speak because Vetool is not performing, combined with the flat tyre etc. I think it's still way to early in the season for RBR to make Vetool play 2nd fiddle. If only Webber could start a F1 car as good as other drivers, the start hurts his entire race. Imagine he started well like all other drivers from his quali positions, would be a much better first lap out as being mid-pack has so much risk with being taken out!

lol fark that!!!! That is ridiculous.

Gtx3076 .82 + Power Ported Standard Manifold.
R31Nismoid replied to ShiftyTys's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'm certain there has been at the least one user who did get it professionally done, and it cracked after a little while (not immediate). Hard to know with every single manifold how much to/not-to take out etc -
Gtx3076 .82 + Power Ported Standard Manifold.
R31Nismoid replied to ShiftyTys's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You guys will wanna be careful hanging ext gates on manifolds that have had material taken out. 1. The manifold is now weaker 2. You are adding more weight The chances it'll crack are now even higher, in standard form they rarely crack but people have certainly taken out too much meat in the past and then had them fail. Making all the stuffing around worthless. Just something to think about, don't get too crazy with taking material out everywhere you can. $800 is quite expensive when you can get a proper after market one for $400 more -
The 2600k doesnt get you much more than the 2500k, you'll still hit 4ghz on air (well, closer to 4.4ghz) with a 2500k. I wouldnt say "investing" more, just allocating your funds better as you don't need a $200 case
-
I'd forget the expensive case and put the cash towards Intel. End of the day AMD CPUs are still so far behind the pace of Intel performance it is simply a waste of your money. So I'll put Intel numbers below... If you look @ Case + Mobo + CPU - you have $600 to play with which give you... CPU - Intel Core i5 2500K - $215 Mobo - Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD5-B3 Motherboard - $260 Case - CoolerMaster CM 690 II Advanced USB3.0 - $115 Or if you want to keep the Obsidian get the below mobo (will still be quite good, just less features) Mobo - Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 Motherboard - $140 Don't get too caught up with the Z68 vs Z77 chipset. I cannot see much to support one being "that much" better, just ensure you update the Z86 board

iiNet brought out Internode recently - so it's same same for new customers far as i understand it. You wont get legacy options

I could understand if you had a OS Racing twin or something, as they are such a nasty nasty clutch to use in traffic etc. Same with a lot of other twins. But the Nismo is awesome, best clutch money can buy for its purpose. Who knows, in 12 months you might put an exhaust on, tune and a set of turbos - then you'll wish you had one.

strange.. I wont change it again then lol. maybe only ive got access as Admin for the moment

mehbee it didnt work the first time...

I don't get it... It's not a limited edition, and by the sound of it you drive it reasonably often - so essentially it's not worth anything extra kept standard. I think you are crazy to replace it to pay labour costs to go backwards. It's worth more in the car than out of it But... each to their own
