  8. Well hence my question...
  9. Real pity that. I wonder how the Motorplex in Perth are going with their New Regulations for 2012 Modern Street Cars Originally fitted with four Wheel Disc Brakes & Air Bags 10.00 – 10.49 Original 3 point lap sash As manufactured Approved Full face Helmet – AS 1698 min Long Sleeve, Long Pants clothing & closed shoes You could take your R35 out there and run a 10.01 pass day in, day out. Much more realistic. Does anyone know if the Plex is ANDRA sanctioned for Street Meets? Guessing not, otherwise it's one rule for one mob, and another rule for the next.
  10. Welcome to 2004 - Pretty sure I had a suspension a long time ago
  11. Trim also plays a part, not just wheel size alone. It's possible to go UP in wheel size, but have better response if the trim is different.

    Sau Swap Meet

I know lots of other clubs, admins etc. Problem is a swap meet for cars needs to either be small-ish - and skyline only. Or super-size and have every make model you can think of. I reckon a SAU one would perhaps be a better start point than not
  13. Indeed its actually offensively expensive to fix the 6 speed. People be warned

    Sau Swap Meet

Haha no... Like as in, what other mediums to contact/inform people its on? Will report back over the weekend once I've spoken to a few people and see what can be done
  15. Well vesh was talking specifically bout towing a GTR haha... So you sorta do agree with everyone else that its unsuitable. Understand what your saying though.

    Sau Swap Meet

Like? I think just with Skyline owners there would be enough to kick this off. It might work, it might fail hence not getting too ahead of oneself initially
  17. Ah ye i forgot about that one. I am now chuckling at my desk
  18. Thread closed. Believe it or not, but since SAU started more than 7 years ago, this topic has been discussed before. Please use the search function in future. It may be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search&search_in=forums While we understand that it can be frustrating to have your thread closed - Please consider that other members may feel it to be disrespectful and selfish of you to post a simple question, without using the search feature to review the wealth of information provided by said members over the years. If you still feel that this action is unjust, then please PM me and we can discuss it further.

    Sau Swap Meet

Well I don't think it could be a traditional style of swap meet in regards to foot traffic. It would have to be targeted. I mean the workshop I'm talking about almost has enough parts to just do it alone haha, so there would be plenty of stuff. Then I've got a bucket load of odd bits & pieces as well as I'm sure lots of others would as well. Could certainly tie in a BBQ etc. End of the day the only people interested would be Skyline owners anyway so the only form of promotion for traffic is SAU etc. Worst case it fails, best case it's a lot of fun
  20. To be fair the Vic Police have had an Operation going on up in those areas for the past 3 months, might be finished, not too sure. The funny thing was though from the source... They hadn't "caught" anywhere near as many people as they had anticipated, nor were there actually "as many" people misbehaving up there overall as initially thought. I think that in itself reasserts to some degree that the whole "hoon" thing really is being blown up in a sensationalist manner by Media, Police & Gov't. As a result communities are over sensitive to it all and basically cry wolf at the drop of a feather due to being wound up so tight. I mean people driving up through there is nothing new, it's been doing on for 30 years.
  21. What cars are you towing though? RX7s or GTRs?

    Sau Swap Meet

I've actually been talking to someone about just the same thing as he has heaps of parts lying around he wants to sell (SAU-Vic sponsor). Could be an option where everyone comes down for a day or something? People bring whatever and chuck on a BBQ etc.
  23. If you have an aftermarket ECU? If yes best option really is to simply buy two new Nismo ones. Not the cheapest solution, but you get brand new ones that will last another 10-15 years. Buying another 2nd hand one, could fail. Even your current good one might fail in 2-3 months and start playing up. By the time you buy 2x 2nd hand ones generally you'd spent almost half what it'll cost to get Nismo ones anyway - and you've got a future upgrade plan if you want. IF you don't then maybe buy some reconditioned stock ones from ebay or similar
  24. It's easy to sell a car, price it to sell. I mean people still think they can get 30k for a stock motor R33 GTR with a bolt ons... They are kidding themselves. The cars are 15+ years old. N/A R34s seem to sell quite easily due to all the new p-plate restrictions in most states. You get the good looks of the R34 and the motor isn't a total gutless wonder for what it is. It's all about pricing it appropriately and being realistic.
  25. There is no change people were just mis-informed. -7 are R34 N1 -9 are GT-SS -5 are slightly smaller than HKS2530 I know that you know this, we've told you plenty of times now in all the threads you keep asking!
