  1. Or the fact I'm only running 19psi and a 3" exhaust at the moment?
  2. Dont forget Momo for your motor - most places that focus on Drag motors struggle with street/circuit. And what i mean by that is they just port the shit out of everything, put the biggest cams they can to maximise top end HP. But driving around town the motors are piglets and lazy off-boost. Depends on what you want really.
  3. Go get a tune? You've changed the car setup, intake temps etc. You need a tune.
  4. Read the RB30 section - 100's of threads on it now.
  5. Could also be a worn transfer case/diffs as well. They are near on 25 years old dont forget. You can rebuild the transfer case similar to a diff, they lock up much nicer etc. The A-LSD isn't what is "better" in the R33 - it's the overall ATTESA system - increased polling rate & sensors, and likely a less worn tranfer case/diff as opposed to an active rear diff. I get epic drive outta the corners with my rebuild transfer case & nismo front diff.
  6. Who said i was ripping out the AWD system? I'm simply putting a Mechanical rear into mine and getting rid of the A-LSD. Car retains full 4WD. You just need a non-vspec rear housing to do it as the A-LSD housing you cannot get a Nismo diff for etc.
  7. hha i wasn't noting either way - just more of a general statement
  8. Yeah but have a look @ the power band, the EFR noses over after 1500rpm (4000-5500rpm), where the Precision pulls for a solid 2500rpm (5000-7500). Numbers are rough, but ya get the picture Depends on the use of the car. Also Precision not being twin scroll as well... Very interesting comparo.
  9. Whatever you have in the front, put them in the rear. No point having a lesser pad upfront, and a better in the rear. If you drive the car hard and get the brakes hot, you'll run the chance of the rear out-braking the front and car coming around on you.
  10. Realistically if your motor isn't dead now. Just wait. Then rebuild, use your crank and GTR rods (they are all same) and get pistons to suit. Changing the bottom end won't magically mean you can run more boost either.
  11. Closing thread as the question has been answered. Also read emts post and ensure you understand the ruling on TINT. Or simply call a Tint place in Box Hill and explain to them.
  12. The question has already been answered.
  13. Oh come on why spoil it. I was going to have an epic laugh @ the poor bloke that'd been waiting there for an hour and then realised why

  15. Price or this will be locked.
  16. How are you going to hit Wombats when they are largely nocturnal?

  18. GTX680 - $700 HD7970 - $600 Hence I would envisage a price shift of large proportions given the NVidia cards really are much faster. Problem is they are almost priced identically in the USA ($500)... But somehow the NVidia card has incurred a 40% price hike for "no apparent" reason with our dollar at parity. I mean the reason is simply suppliers are gouging as always, of course they all deny that and cry poor $500 I can justify as i usually spend around $400. $700 however I cannot. I'll also look following to see if i can get a the lower model card and flash the BIOS or similar. I think a good spend on a GPU at the moment will hold off most games for the next 2 years, rather than having me update every 18months like I have been lately.
  19. Ok so here is the deal guys. SAU will have a Merchandise shop coming in the very near future in line with the 10th Anniversary, SAU Nats/B'day party & a forum revamp… For the online shop/merch – rather than have the designs created by someone who doesn’t really get what YOU guys want to see on a t-shirt/hoodie.. SAU is giving you the chance to design it yourself and in the process get a bit of cash for your troubles. End date for designs will be Friday 04/05/2012 We are looking for the following items only at this stage: 3 x fashion t-shirt designs - Can be front only, or front/rear designs 1 x long sleeve shirt designs (for motorsport boys) - SAU logo or variation on left breast, incorporate the URL and whatever else 1 x hoodie design - Free range here, go as mild or wild as you like 1 x cap design - A good cap design is simple, but effective. Cap will need to have URL on it. Cash that will be given out for designs chosen listed below. You will also get a free merchandise item that your design goes onto t-shirt: $100ea ($300 total) Long sleeve: $100 Hoodie: $100 Cap: $80 For the Motorsport tops, please leave the sleeves spare. The plan is to put SAU Trader logo's down the arms for those that would like to come on-board. They will be supplied to whomever at a later stage once we decide on the designs. So please get to your designs and post them in this thread. Christian will have the ultimate say, however there will be a 'shortlist' of a few designs, which will then feature in a Poll to gauge interest. Any questions, thoughts, ideas - post them here. Please don't PM me, I get too many as it is End date for designs will be Friday 27/4/2012
  20. Mine has given up the ghost at 350-360rwkw. Previous owner was running 330rwkw for a few years and it was ok. I know 2 others with them that have been "OK" at 320-330rwkw for a few years. One of those people is following the same road as his is also tired now. I've only noticed mine playing up when cornering as the A-LSD takes input from steering etc, basically it just gets tired and starts tripping out. To compensate ATTESA keeps sending power to the front when it shouldn't. As a result it nearly threw me off a motorkhana course twice in Feb as I was expecting the rear to lock/slide under power but instead it sent the power front wheels mid corner. Car had never done that before and I've driven that course many times so it wasn't me doing anything different. Confirmed later on with video that it was lighting up a single pegging at the rear that was causing it. It locks fine still in a straight line at this stage. Although I've suspected in some instances that it's semi-single'd, but I cannot be 100% certain. So... Just rip it all out. Motors and all. Should easily save 15kg to boot.
  21. Well the NVidia GTX680 has been released in answer to the AMD HD7970 I really enjoy the Anandtech reviews so further info here if you weren't aware: http://www.anandtech.com/show/5699/nvidia-geforce-gtx-680-review/ Seems NVidia have indeed pulled a nice punch with the GTX680. I've been waiting to buy a new GPU since the end of last year as BF3 & Skyrim are struggling on MAX with my slightly older card these days. I'm not set on buying a GTX680 just yet, but given they are priced the same (or near enough) as a HD7970 this might promt AMD to review their pricing structure given the NVidia card really gives them a good beating. See what happens with pricing over the next 3-4 weeks i guess!
  22. Well my bro was failboat and forgot the headset on Sunday I'll grab them this weekend or early next week and have a bit of a compare over a few days
  23. Yeah agreed. Or you get in contact with Ian & express your interest, details about the car etc and get entry that way. I'd think that'd be possible for those that haven't come out before, but would draw a big crowd type thing
