Police as stated as recognised estimators of speed. They do NOT need a radar. Further more, Police are not legally bound to show you the radar reading what so ever. You can ask, and they are well within the law to say no.
-
Sorry Miguel you are wrong. They can. Police are recognised estimators of speed. They do not need a radar gun to book you. As with everything there are two sides to every story. If you think it's wrong, go to court. Expect lawyer fees of at least $700-$1000 to fight it. I'd be surprised if legal advice didn't tell you to admit 8km/h over and take the 1 point. If the first rider admitted as well to Police that he was over, you are going to find it even harder - that's just how it goes.

Why don't you just paint it black? Anodized will just give you attention

Thread closed. Believe it or not, but since SAU started more than 7 years ago, this topic has been discussed before. Please use the search function in future. Price or lock. Same for your other threads. -
Before reporting posts and complaining... Perhaps read the section rules before even STARTING a thread? Closed.

Add to the fact Keane/Kamco is American owned... Yet the other tender was MTR... I mean MTR have the current fking contract! Why would they give it to Kamco to do the ticketing system when MTR have a tried and proven system. Gov't projects are always under quoted on purpose to snap the contract and then bump costs during it. However before myki even went live it was something in the order of 60% OVER BUDGET... Since it's gone live, fck knows, it's probably closer to 100% blowout. It's just absurd bureaucracy at it's best. Do not confuse this for one second with private enterprise. There is nowhere near the abuse that Gov't stuff endures. I mean they even had to go to a probity audit on the tender FFS. Yes they "ruled" it was fair, but who knows what was really going on.
-
Don't even bring Gov't Funded stuff into discussion on private enterprise. They are two ends of the field. Myki was NOT done with money saving in mind.

Definitive Guide To Building 300-330awkw Gt-r

1. Just a dyno setting. Use it instead of boost. 2. As i said earlier mate you won't stop the boost dropping off. They are small turbos, it's just impossible for them to flow that much as thier purpose is not top end -
Edited - Trader Ad
R31Nismoid replied to BIT SUS's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Firstly you had two... Couple months later you have "plenty"?... Sounds like a Business Trader Ad. If you wish to advertise on SAU. You are required to become a paying trader, like all other businesses: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/ Thread closed and advertising posts removed/edited. So how is it then, that our one has turned into a pile of sh*t? Poorly designed, poorly constructed. All the money in the world cannot stop shit house design work.
-
Well the sign doesn't make it half obvious or nothing...

+1 ING would NEVER let a wheel get built that "Will crack in a Melbourne summer" and "It will cost you 4x as much as a result". It's just retarded. Poor design is certainly the winner here. It's almost sounding like a Gov't project that gets fed to someones "mate" and then costs "blow out unexpectedly"
-
Exactly. And either they did... And then it is ING's management fault. OR they did not - And they are squarely to blame. If the engineers had a report highlighting the risks etc, it would most likely have been leaked by now. Especially as Work Safe was involved with it all etc etc. The fact it wasn't leaked or hasn't even been mentioned strongly indicates it was just shitty engineering from the outset... Which is little surprise as that is how things are "done" in recent times because people have NFI what they are doing.
-
Err... why cant you just have untimed passenger session after lunch? Thats what most clubs do down here. That way you get 3-4 sessions of timing

Definitive Guide To Building 300-330awkw Gt-r
R31Nismoid replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Having gone from -9s to -5s... Lag is indeed the enemy. It was must more fun with the -9s on a a street driven car and in the hills (say 70-130km/h). -5s IMO would be a bad choice and they are not as responsive, in between gears they are noticeably laggier too. I also found I was dropping an extra gear everywhere to get more run. Where with the -9s you just don't because they were on earlier They don't have the big top end so they don't feel "fast", as they are very linear. -
The engineers are squarely to blame. It was pathetically designed, without cause for the conditions. There is no one else to blame unless someone can produce a paper where by the engineers explicitly state this is a high risk in the documentation of the project. Regardless of any Shareholders or Finance, which is a stupid point given the wheel has now cost FAR MORE than 1. It should have 2. Lost public confidence 3. Cost ING a lot more money in the entire docklands precinct. As IF the commissioning of the wheel came down to S/H & F. Manufacturing wise - yes. Tech wise not really. There is some pretty serious gear (industry) that gets designed here for Mining, Agriculture. Whilst not an iPhone - it's tech none the less. Look @ the 'tech' coming out of Taiwan, Thailand & similar with regards to electronics. They don't "have" the tech, they have foundries that make it. The tech to create/produce at that level is there as well which is far above the design of something that uses that process for without it you'd have nothing. This is where Australia is losing and will continue to do so under the Carbon Tax, mark my words - manufacturing in Aus is already dropping and it'll disappear once everything is in full swing. Aussie roads & conditions are certainly not part and parcel of many places in the world as well. The local car market is very good. Hate them as i might, Holdens & Fords - you get a LOT more for you money these days than you did 10 years ago when purchasing a car. That's with rising costs, inflation & base material costs. If anything it's a testament to how well it's been done.

Interestingly they come on later than most other -7 results as well (most others are 22psi by 4300rpm) Wonder if that is the cams having an effect. -

R33 GTR. Go measure R33 and R34 dumps. You'll be surprised at what you'll find out Maybe they were Tomei, there were bigger, but really didn't offer anything other than a different exhaust note to be honest. They'd already dropped off 4psi. Probably another 1psi if 300-400rpm more was used. Also do a graph with the tractive effort etc, they just start to nose well over unfortunately. Of course they are still "holding power", mine was as well, but actually drive them and they feel outta legs by 7500rpm as both boost & torque are disappearing fast. You'll just grab the next gear out of feel more than anything else.
