  1. I read it, but why bring it up? It has zero relevance to this thread, same as it did the last thread you brought it up in. If this was a N/A thread, bring up 600hp on a 3" exhaust - in a FI thread, dont bring up pointless statements that would otherwise confuse people.
  2. It'll still smell even with a huge CAT in it Not as bad, but ye - cruise behind a car with a hi-flow CAT and you can certainly still smell as if it was not running one.
  3. N/A & turbo are not the same by any means. Comparing the two is misleading. And 2mph from removing a CAT is actually quite a big gain realistically for a stock turbo.
  4. So? Same as the people that say a 3" exhaust flows 350rwkw. Swap it to something that flows better and then they pick up power, torque and response. 40rwkw is not uncommon when the restriction is that bad. Less restriction = happier motor, tune and everything associated. Just because something "makes XXXrwkw" doesn't mean it can't be better for simple changes.
  5. Without a doubt it would have been! 8+ trackdays a year is a lot of money in oil if you only need to change it every 3
  6. Yeah as i said earlier - the problem will be because of the Tomei pump. Go back to a lower volume pump (realistically you don't need the Tomei one on a stock motor) and be the much better for it.
  7. +1 to the above. Great post. It's a killer when eating up basically 10L of oil ever change. Quickly adds up indeed if you are using $$$ stuff and changing it based on precaution rather than any actual reason (as the oil would still do another 1-2 trackdays easily). Previous owner of my GTR changed it after every track day as a precaution which is a good example of over worried.

  12. It's almost like the next pics you post couldn't possibly be better than what you've already posted... But No.... They just get more awesome! Have you weighted the manifold/turbo/gate assembly? Noted John thought it wouldn't need any brace/supporting. Just wondering what the actual weight is
  13. Issue is you using the Tomei pump and the volume. Use a N1 and you'll be fine. If stock sump'd GTR's (300-350rwkw) on semi comps have run 1.20s @ Sandown with nothing more than a litre overfill, N1 pumps & restrictors - and not spin bearings... Good enough for what you want. Obviously an oil cooler is a good move, and just keep the rev's sane for a stock tolerance motor. Should be fine, plenty of others tracking with 250-300rwkw for a few years without issues. The latest "fad" seems to be external oil drains. You would've hardly seen anyone using one before about 18 months ago, so just ignore that as well as they are just a bandaid for poor oil control as part of a build (restrictors & enlarged returns using higher volume pumps). Plus you aren't from NSW where legendary Sump Baffle Syndrome runs rife, so you've got that advantage on your side as well.
  14. Ok over SAU Nats & fully over Pneumonia too - Feeling about 95% at the moment which is the first I've felt this good in probably 3 maybe 4 months. Will start back @ Gym over the weekend. Really light for 3 months to work in the shoulder a bit easier. Will also start doing some HIIT, just 100m sprint/100m walk till i can't do it anymore. Probably twice a week. Will alternate with 200m/200m after a 3-4 weeks and see how i go. Happy days
