  1. GT40 /8288R? For a dyno pony would go ok.
  2. or WA both win. hell i would just be happy with NSW emissions testing for EPA certification. That would be the best outcome. But fear it... All states could end up like Vic (someone had to say it)
  3. If you don't run more than 10psi, the stock turbo wont die. It's when people push 12psi+ they get agro. and you wont need any parts, coolers and you might be able to get away with the MINES ECU (but i would get the AFR's etc checked in a dyno first)
  4. If you are worried about lag, then you need to not be a tightass Given the two things go hand in hand. Sorry to tell you but a MINES ecu is not good enough in any way, shape or form. There is also no point spending money on parts and running 10psi and no tune. You are better off not spending a cent and leaving the stock turbo on there... Then spend the money on coke, booze and hookers. However if you are prepared to get a tune etc etc.... And want to do it on the cheap you have many options, only a few reasonable however... 1. JJR cooler kit (SAU Sponsor) 2. JJR exhaust or just get a 2nd hand one off the forum 3. Hypergear turbo (SAU Sponsor), just using actuator. 4. Tuneable ECU + tune ~ $3500 if you are lucky. If you are paying a workshop then $4500 if not more. The above will give you an average 220rwkw or so. Won't be the best setup. If you want more power you will also need to factor in things like AFM, injectors, coilpacks - $1500 Also to take into account are.... clutch, brakes, tyres and most likely a diff. They will cost anywhere from $3,000 - $5,000.
  5. So afterall that you are seeing reason?
  6. Well if he still has a day job - Clearly he isn't anywhere near biggest, either that or he is doin it wrong. There is money in music, but it's only a small percentile of people that will make it and it's not just about the music either that gets you the money. If you do it for the love - you'll get nowhere. If you do it for the crown/commercial - you might get there. Look @ all the great bands that sell out over their careers and after 1-3 albums go to a more commercial flavour once they get a following and so on, sign a bigger contract. Very few have made it without going down that 'mainstream' path which is very unfortunate and usualyl about that time i'll stop listing to their production.
  7. Again it just comes down to you not using the search correctly. I typed in "largest lowmount" 2nd result was this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/312245-largest-set-of-factory-located-twins-on-rb26-r32/ Can't get any easier than that mate. Sorry to say but you simply did not use the search well enough, and that was the first search i tried. Got another example?
  8. We aren't talking bout 4g which is a big pot four... We are talking RB20 which is a small pot 6. The 4g has a bit more development than the late 80s RB20. They can take a GT30 quite well and are much more responsive. Part head, part bottom. A stock 4g will make 200-210 on the factory turbo and be on much sooner than the RB20. It's not a fair comparo either way. SR20 are similar, they take a bigger turbo better as well. Yeah you need 20psi+, but you would with a RB20 as well. its either 230rwkw, or 270rwkw with turbo options that still leave the car useable. forget plenums etc, as several results suggest you only go backwards by spending 1200... Not a good return.
  9. If you get back to me about the exhaust then i'll get back to you about your membership? LOL But you are a member mate. 2013 expiry. You paid me 3yrs last year @ RE Email Dan for a new card: secretary @ sauvic.com.au If i wasn't out clubbing the night before - I'd be in for this
  10. If you want a decent shop that won’t charge a bomb just for a service and isn’t far aware: Intermarque 17 Islington St, COLLINGWOOD, VIC, 3066 9428 4460 They usually work on Euro’s with anything from old Mercs/Jag’s to new Ferrari/Porka's and so on. And the owner is involved with a lot of circuit racing in Aus/Europe Taken my GTR and GTS-R there and been very happy with the work/price. There are a few other SAU members that take GTR's there as well that i won't name Helps they are close as I don’t always have a chance to get out to Racepace these days for the small stuff.
  11. lol i got it, but i didnt laugh
  12. And they were all found within 30 seconds of using the search - in terms of the answers. Which one do you want to know more about? All users PM'd me as the lock message said, was just a simple case of them not using the best search parameters. Can't have a FAQ for every single option/choice known to man
  13. That just means she is of ethnic origin as opposed to bogan or paky/cranbourne.
  14. Well all i put in was "vct hks step" http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/335094-rb25-with-vct-vs-with-aftermarket-cams/page__p__5426078__hl__vct+hks+step__fromsearch__1#entry5426078 PM me if you need further help using the search function.
  15. You car is a ttop ye? Actually don't even answer that, no point as 20KG is less than 1.5% of the cars weight. You are tripping if 20KG makes a difference. 100kg (8-9%), noticeable. 20kg (1.5%), not. It's your own crazy mind making excuses for ... well... fk knows what.
  16. Do you take chicks to Macca's for dates too?
  17. I doubt a little tuna can car has as big of a tank, i bet its single figures! Im waiting for the next idea of leaving the spare tyre/jack out for weight reduction. Or like that other idiot in the Skyline Discussion who removed the A/C to increase fuel economy/lighten the car LOL...

  19. and LOL @ 3/4 filling a tank for economy... All of what, 5-8Kgs of weight? hahaha... i cannot fathom... You'd get better gains running 4psi more in the tyres. And filing up 3 times a week = you be paying more @ worse times = less economical
  20. Turn up to what? I dont even remember saying i was ever going to a bowling night!
  21. ^ I've just had an idea, You should call/ask ARC and ask them i think.

  23. on my phone so hard to see pics... but looks like its not bolt holes, and leaking from the core/end tank area? If so... its probably been dropped or something. It's possible it came like that and owner never knew as its not leaking heaps by the look of it.
  24. Get them from the US, or pay 100% markup here in Aus. That is the only option really. Get them fitted here in US sizing, and problem solved. Given he doesn't technically need them next weekend (he says in future competition), this upcoming just sounds like a normal club sprint, non competition.
  25. 707160-5 in .64 The fact it also says "direct replacement for Nissan GTR" should be the give away...
