  1. dw he is banned, and will be each time he signs up from now on. enough is enough.
  2. That's what im talking about though man. The boost ramp on the GT-RS is terrible, and it's due to the control setup, not the turbo. TD06 ramps up nice and sharp yes, the GT-RS is just lazy from 4200-5000 where it should hit firm @ 4200 based on how the ramp starts. It's definately blowing the gate open or a lazy actuator Still good info though either way i just don't agree with the comment "GT-RS isn't a good inbetweener", I'd say it is - if the setup is... actually... setup correcrtly. Still the TD04 is better, but more costly for the whole kit IIRC?
  3. I've given up on HoN at the moment... Too many stupid Brazillian noobs on for some reason lately
  4. The GT-RS has failing boost control though Bris! Its very lazy onto boost and then takes the entire rev range to increase from 17psi to 19psi. If it has better boost control i think the results would be much closer with 19psi in around 1800rpm sooner than it was. Still the TD06 does win out, not arguing that... I just think the GT-RS looks like a very bad loser when if the setup was better it wouldn't be too bad at all. If you added in cam gear and maybe picked up another 200rpm it could be very interesting. TD06 will make more peak power either way though.
  5. Because they are too big for a 2ltr motor. Even a GT3082 is too big IMO.
  6. Man DW about the coilovers. With rock hard Jap-spec stuff i was running 12.9 with 220rwkw in my GTSR, full weight and over 1500kg. (seats in, spare etc). Also airflow - forget it. It's not fast enough as stated. 1.9-2.0 60fts consistently back in the day. That was in 225 Dunlop 3000A street tyres The launch is where it all counts. The rest is not as important at all as it's just ensuring you shift correctly. Check the tyre pressures after your run as well and adjust to suit if need be. I'd expect you to have 1.6 60ft's without much drama at all. With 245rwkw on MT's you would be in the high 11s / deep 12 if you can get the launch right, I think you'll need more than 4500rpm given the tyre choice off the line. I might come along that day actually as myself and all my mates wanna do a drag day
  7. Alexi - your shit be in the post Monday. Wrapped it today with all my love f**k KORN ARE KINGS - Greatest hits FTW
  8. More money, no gains. Leave it
  9. Just drive off boost mate? I went to Syd & back few months back - 900km or so one way. Sitting on 120km/h the entire way too, just not jumping onto boost and light accel. I reckon i could get 700 if i really tried as i got to around 640 and pulled into the servo as i was close to the light coming on for sure.
  10. Ye in theory. But I think back to when i had external gate. 7psi spring running 17psi - I had massive gate creep, you could hear it 14psi spring running 17psi - no creep what so ever. gate opened @ the same RPM everytime It's the same principle with internal gate. It's interesting to think that perhaps because it's twin turbo, dual actuator - it wouldn't suffer as much as say a GT35 with an internal gate/single actuator. I might be totally wrong there as well though. Might have to get a run or two done with the gates locked and just see how it ramps look @ the sheets i posed in the RB26 comparo earlier this year. One of the -5 graphs holds 21psi flat to 8,000rpm (redline).
  11. By lowering the revs, and stretching the ratios you will hurt acceleration. Obviously gear change point also affected, how much hard to say. I can get over 600km+ to a tank on the freeway with 370rwkw, so i cannot see how you'd need to change diff gearing for economy.
  12. Welcome... It's great to have grand plans... However perhaps don't go out and build a 440rwkw / $35,000+ build right away, especially not with a N/A shell at least anyway. I kid you not when I say it will kill you Also to note, 3 points as soon as the Police pop the bonnet, something to be mindful of given it's turbo (and yes, the Police most certainly can tell just by looking at it).
  13. 707160 - 5 Or similar. The numbers are exactly as they appear. I dont think i have any pics of my -9s or -5s, but the numbers were the same either way There are a couple extra as well. Some other code no doubt
  14. No. Inbetween HKS2530 (one size bigger) & Garrett -9s (one size smaller)
  15. N/A section once again never fails to deliver
  16. Because I am so utterly sick of your level of retardation. I warned you not to post outside the wasteland, this is the result. This thread will stay here for all time, and infact as much as Edward Lees are... questionable... I will email them the link and ensure you are bankrupt before the age of 22 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/362516-ok-seriously-wtf-happened-to-my-thread/page__pid__5786309__st__40#entry5786309
  17. you'll need a 35hp shot to MAKE 500rwhp with GT-SS/-9s
  18. I don't doubt somewhere they offer benefits. From what I've seen though around the 350-370 not so much. I mean i wouldn't be making 370rwkw on 19psi if there was an exhaust restriction, you'd soon spot it nose over.
  19. there is no load on idle. It wont go much above the line at all really.
  20. It's a bit hit and miss, replace the feed with a piece of metal pipe and drill a hole in it. Acts the same way as a bleed valve in a sense but it's always doing exactly the same. obviously pre-load on the actuator and so on is also required. Hence it is a bit fiddly. If i get time i'll pull mine out/photos . But that wont be for a while as im pulling 12-14hr days
  21. I've never run a EBC in 7 years. Boost response is perfect in all setups. You need to ensure a heavy duty actuator, bleed as close as possible etc. Takes a bit of stuffing around so in some ways the EBC is certainly easier.
