  1. that's because they don't come with HKS housings. they come with Garrett ones. same as every other 'what turbo is this' thread... without the turbo ID Tag details, noone can help you.
  2. Ye Serge's (user: essay) car didn't leave Racepace all that long ago either! Very nice!
  3. Make my 3.5" exhaust on the HR31 is 90-91dB, I can assure you it's quieter than most 3" systems i hear around here. Whenever i go on a cruise I'm totally stealth thats how quiet it is. 4" isn't much worse either provided you get GOOD mufflers and a big flowing CAT. Owning a GTR isnt cheap, nor is chating 350-370rwkw... If you need a 3.5" or 4" exhaust, then pay for it 3.5" should do you for your setup either way.
  4. Just because you can't tell, does not mean it's not burning out the clutch packs in the transfer case I'm not sure if your car is R32 or R33 GTR based I would be guessing R33 onwards however in which case you MUST drop the driveshaft or you will damage the transfer case.
  5. Hi me up bozo if im on, i'll have a few games (BC2), so will my bro if he is around
  6. you running two different sets of memory you mean?
  7. As per attached. Anyway, all this info is covered in the EPA/Roadworthy thread, or you can simply look @ the VicRoads Vehicle Standards Information (VSI) VSI8 covers this directly: http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rdonlyre...8340/0/VSI8.pdf
  8. Ah sorry but no. The car will not run as factory at all with larger turbos, injectors and so on that flow more than factory. The ECU has not allowed for it, because it cannot know. As Trent said, you'll be lucky if there is no damage done from how rich it would have been running. Fuel pressure does matter as well. I think you need to get an understanding of how things work.
  9. No, you post a price as per forum rules.
  10. read that: http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...bo_tech101.html Then this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pr...os-t313603.html
  11. VicRoads don't care whos name the RWC is in. I just transferred a car into my name recently, name on the RWC was not mine - was the workshop that was paid to organise it.

  13. Ye count me in for one of these too next GB Just PM me
  14. I can deliver to Cronulla for nothing - I'm driving up there for 4 days @ xmas - if you are happy to collect from there then i have no issue bringing it with me. I'll be catching up with SAU NSW peeps while I'm up there as well. Half now, half later - would seem fair to me if that's fair with you
  15. No because 10psi to 20psi sometimes can just be too much for the EBC to bleed/hold. Hence you always run as close, to give the boost controller the best chance possible.
  16. Is this not covered in the Hypergear thread?
  17. You get gate creep from having TOO WEAK of a base spring rate, not too high. 10psi spring running 20psi is more likely to get gate creep than 18psi spring running 20psi Gate creep = gate creeping open before desired boost level. Most commonly attributed to weak gate spring rate. www.hotstuffworks.com - Go have a search mate. Great site that explains the basic stuff. No wonder you have issues with your setup currently, sounds like your tuner/building is feeding you rubbish EDIT: Trent beat me, damn using my mobile lol
  18. What do you mean function? They both function in exactly the same way… and that is… 1. They ALL control the pressure via the wastegate. 2. They do this via the solenoid/stepper motor. 3. Dual solenoid just adds an additional element of control (I wont go into details about how “much” better single vs dual, plenty of threads on that) So simply put - There is no way around this when using a EBC & external gate. The eboost stuff is not specifically better than say… a HKS EVC6 You are getting confused with what they are calling “gain” as Trent has said. Its nothing more than one company marketing it as something else. If it were me, I’d be using a EVC6 (which I will be doing shortly )
  19. every ebc i can think of has a solenoid... some single, some dual etc.
  20. read the rules. tell your friend to sign up.
  21. doubt that too ... most good controllers have such for varying applications. me thinks he is confused about how a boost controller works?
  22. lol wasn't a bad guess from a boring meeting ZING!
  23. What do you mean? all boost controllers control boost. this is done via the actuator for internal gate. Or the gate diaphragm itself if its external.
  24. he was defected. it will be listed on the notice he has to get a VASS.
  25. 440 vs 600... umm yeah they arealmost 50% bigger... -5s will do 380-400rwkw, so 600 were a bad choice. you'd have been better off with 700's and the factory fuel red IMO. would have been cheaper as well.
