  1. Excellent - when ready please start another GB. Cheers.
  2. Please post up full details in accordance with GB rules. There is KEY information missing.
  3. 5am is FAR too early. 6am would be plenty of time. I didnt leave my house last time until about 6am (Collingwood) and i would have easily made it by 8:30, but we stopped to help a broken car and arrived a bit before 9am
  4. Or you could upload off site and link across - we have to pay for stuff you upload, yet we don't charge you to sell That aside, no changed will be made until the new forum is rolled out. I believe this is an option we can have, so it will be looked into, however not a certainty
  5. -9 are as close to stock as you can get with -5 there is certainly a noticeable the le mans would be laggier again realistically as they are old hat now. so it comes down to how much you wanna spend vs what you are willing to live with if you wanna save 'x' amount. the garrett value for money is hard to argue for either turbo choice given the results people get.
  6. -5 all the way. 380-400 on a good motor. newer design than the old le mans stuff and more responsive for the power as a result. but as you don't have a built motor, they are not the best choice. the -9 would be and are not going past the limits of a stock motor. to make the most of -5's you really do need a built motor, bit of a head tidy up and so on.
  7. have you not read the thread? they are available now.
  8. Please use the search function. They have been well covered before. Basically with a R34, you are going backwards. they are bush bearing, and laggy. Buy some decent turbos and don't skimp. You just spent 45K+, what try save $1,000?
  9. the cartridge comes with the wheels on it\ nothing to stop you doing it. depends on the pricing i guess
  10. To an extent, however one of my good mates runs a panel shop and has no mind blowing issues with insurance companies and this isn't some low grade/cheap panel shop either. Ye there is some here/there but that's part of it all. You win some, you lose some. I fail to see how its shit money even half the time. Granted he is looking after imports/resto's which basically means Just Cars/Shannons, but that's the topic at hand here mostly. He's even done work on a friends Mazda 626, was AAMI. He has no issue making good profit on it, and it was repaired perfectly without much issue from them either. Charging his normal workshop rate which i can assure you is higher than the "cheaper" places around that do $1500 "resprays" They do not pay the same rate for a pearl paint that requires more time. That is costed and factored into quotes. If its not, then that's the panel shops management as opposed to Insurance companies. I've seen some BIG hit's fully repaired. Brand new everything from Nissan as part of the repair. And this is on cars only worth 30-35k agreed. Well over 10k being dropped by insurance companies without question. Now if one workshop can get 10k for a job, but another couldn't - nobody's fault but the shop in question.
  11. And even then, makes little difference. not like you cant paint em
  12. ^ That is because it was a shit job. There is no real stigma, It's just that most of the time it costs more to fix properly. I mean take a R33 GTS-t, to fix one tahts been in a reasonable hit to the left/right front you'd be looking @ upwards of 6-8k properly done with a bent rail etc. So i say - AS IF someone is going to spend that money fixing properly when its over half the value of the car. I've seen personally SO many poorly repaired cars, and not just skylines either. It happens all the time and a lot of people are unsuspecting/don't know what to look for and the end winner is the workshop making easy money of half assed work. 2 years down the track you find out the rails are bent, parts replacement has been skimped on (2nd hand wrecker parts that are clearly poor) and stuff doesn't line up properly
  13. Depends on your state. Some states i believe no. Some states, yes as long as pollution gear is fitted. Some states, yes, you must then run the most current pollution gear and meet emissions for whatever is newer (body or motor). Best to ring your local authority.
  14. ^ contact Charles89 - Vic member, he does the CF overlay stuff
  15. realistically you shouldn't be using anything of significance. certainly not that much (what, 1-2L? virtually off the dipstick?) what's the catchcan like?
  16. the zed will be the 'viagra' car, been around for many years, and very fken fast. sounds awesome too :Dgreat work on the times boys, very impressive!
  17. please use the WTB section.
  18. Perhaps use the 11 page thread that is already here?
  19. The people with 380rwkw/PULP are on stock manifolds down here
  20. My GTR isn't white
  21. Just leave a message and you'll get called back in due time. Just like any other workshop, they are probably busy working?
  22. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...Wr-t344297.html use that thanks
  23. Use this one guys Overall, pretty dismal turnout for an awesome location. More so annoying I guess because so many people said the ole "i will come", only not to show face. Especially when the NDSOC group could get a good 40 odd cars there for a member base that is probably half of what we have. Otherwise for the cars that were there, it was an awesome day overall. I managed to get sunburnt, so the weather certainly was not terrible Having the NDSOC (and other groups) made it really interesting with lots of carby equipped machinery in pristine condition to checkout. Good to see a few people both new and old, given the amount of effort that went into organising this, it was overall a great result. -Ash
  24. I kid you not, no more than $200 AUD will have you a RB30 bottom end most of the time. So there is a ridiculous markup
  25. Post prices or this will be locked.
