    Cheap Towing

Citywide towing (Jack & Co.) alwayslook after SAU members
  2. Not one circuit GTR down here has one. If everything is done right with block restrictions and so forth, then you don't need it. If you did a list of people with them, and then without... it would be extremely one sided.
  3. Well that’s your first problem. A big no-no. This sounds like the second… What oil control/restriction mods were done as a part of the rebuild? I’m gonna take another ‘wild’ guess and say none? Realistically you don't need a sump if you've done everything else correctly for that level of setup. Plenty of people before you have been totally fine.
  4. totally ageee Paul. the R34 SMIC is a major issue. By 220rwkw that's basically the limit. They are too restrictive for anything other than factory turbo airflow. Honestly if you don't change that, then any turbo chosen, overall setup will suffer. I've not had the pleasure of a GT-RS equipped experience but the GCG OP6, i have. Boost and delivery was very linear. The car didn't feel 'fast' due to this, but the speedo dismissed that... it's delivery was that good it was deceptive. although i doubt i need to say this - ensure you get the heavy duty actuator
  5. sigh... no detail = fail. what motor? what mods? also, you dont need external oil drain from the head. waste of time. ill ask even though i probably know the answer... did you overfill the sump by 1L like you should have?
  6. pity i couldn't drop the shaft out... good result Sam, top work as always.
  7. I’m gonna give my new GTR a bit of a shakedown ahead of potential power chasing mods (chasing a 10) It’ll be close and one must be careful, given 10.99 needs a cage hohoho. I know Calder is a rip off for pricing vs what you get @ the best of times... but not a lot can be done these days. Hence I'm gonna get there early (8:30am or so), get entered/sorted and hopefully get in a few quick passes early on while people still roll in. 8. problem often is though, the car is faster so owners are happy. but until you get into one that's even better tuned/setup, you dont think there is anything wrong. I've seen some cars with all sorts of stuff in mild street cars (250rwkw or less), lumpy/crap idle, takes 4-5 cranks to start, power delivery is light switch etc. And owners say its awesome & praise 'xxxx', when in reality a car like that should be better than factory - not worse. that's the depressing part of it all really. your part selection is excellent and well thought out, you should be rewarded with a lighting quick setup with a huge midrange as a result. i hope you get it sorted out
  9. its not the only issue mate. see my post earlier, there is more to your result than poor boost control as the first 'dip' in the graph doesn't appear to be boost related at all. its either tune, or a part issue.. but id say tune at this stage. IMO its pretty poor to see a workshop sending a car home like that.
  10. NFI either, saying '500HP' would be at the motor in the normal world. which is pretty much spot on the -9 marker, they will make a tad more, but on target with what was asked... that's if its now rwhp of course. either way for 500HP or 500rwhp, 2x kkr480 is ridiculous. i suspect he said two, given he already has one, and wants to do it on the cheap... which just ain't gonna happen.
  11. Hi. As per the form, please allow 15 business days for processing. This includes all area's. I believe, given your submission date, it's been 6 business days. Access will be sorted in due time. Thanks
  12. 500hp - so 330rwkw GT-SS or Garrett -9 They are your only choice. Putting 2x KKR480's on there is the dumbest idea I have heard in a while. 2x 480hp turbos for 500hp? You'll probably make over 450rwkw. But it will be the most unresponsive 450rwkw+ you'd ever see as they are a terrible turbo for response in single form... Let alone having two of them. I'd say at LEAST 5,000rpm before you see anything useful.
  13. FI guide - link is in there.
  14. Mounted it incorrectly, only reason really. The pump shouldn't be "that" noisy at all. Although given you've made no mention of any wiring changes (which are required), then that's also a problem.
  15. Well everyone same dyno, same day - lets you compare. That power is about right.
  16. Boost control is poor. Evident @ 135km/h where it drops off and so does power The Dip around 120km/h is not related to boost however, tune would be most likely. Fix the above two issues and you'll gain a soild 30-40rwhp in the midrange once you give those dips in the graph the flick. It will be very noticeable once you do as well. Also with boost holding into upper RPM likely peak power should increase also another 30-40rwhp as a 3-4psi drop is certainly hurting.
  17. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/se...lite=%2Bhi-flow What do you mean nothing current? The first page of search results has plenty of threads on hi-flows, all within the last 2 weeks. Do some reading and stop being lazy Also look through the dyno results thread, PLENTY of hi-flow turbo results in there.
  18. Read the forum rules before posting
  19. Exactly Also the housing on that turbo is rather small, doesn't look any bigger than a .82 at best. Very small for such a large capacity motor, and certainly aid alleviate the massive piping addition
  20. What are the Nissan Part #'s? (cant see two of em, and CBF'd installing FAST lol) I'll see what kinda mark-up there is on them, I'm assuming you asked RRP @ Nissan Aus?
  21. What do we do with results that are 5yrs old? From users in a fair few cases that are not around anymore? No way some of that old info is gonna be purged, it's some of the best/longest standing we have! I like the idea, however to make a form as such is a pain in the arse. Would have to be a single shopping list style thing one line per mod (as most people do now)
  22. Please do not keep making threads constantly, one thread is enough.
  23. Please put "GT30XX" or "GT35XX" where XX = 82 or 76 or 82 There are PLENTY of threads covering those turbos now mate, do some reading and learn plenty Heaps of dyno results to have a look as well. Check both RB26 and RB25, will basically answer all your questions, upto you to decide.
  24. -7s are not GT-SS
  25. I might do just that - give the car a good stretch and i do need to go to Kmart
