Agreed. My RE001's, for a full street tyre, are excellent even with 280rwkw on my HR31 for wet weather driving. I know exactly what's going on and when. Not the best grip, nothing ever will be with that power in the wet, but I'm a big fan of them if you want a good tyre that doesnt absolutely bust the bank.

Only $800? Thats reasonably cheap, its an absolute cnt of a job Replacements would be $1200ea (Garrett -9s), then R33 dumps - $150 or so. Id certainly look to changing turbos mate, added cost, but by god you dont want one letting go

They are not better flowing or less restrictive. Who said that? A "X" diameter piece of hose will flow the same whether its braided teflon or steel mate. What you'll run the risk of, with braided, is potential perish/failure over a few years. There are no pro's to going braided for a daily driver

for reliability and street applications, the factory steel lines are by far the better choice. braided line doesn't last forever. how often do you take the turbo off anyway?

Honestly, dyno doesn't really tell you that much for something like this IMO. Same as cams. You can see the graph move either way and what have you, which is fair enough. But if the car is not actually any faster - then it brings back to the point of "why do it?" in terms of value if you get nothing out of it than a different line on some paper.
