  1. c'mon more pics! real garages not internet dream ones
  2. yeah I guess the ebay thing is easy, its just that the profit they are making bugs me anyway....every 32 gtr I've ever met needs a controller, even a basic one, so I'm sure he'll be happy with the difference
  3. that is exactly the issue my production car club is trying to deal with - more than 50% of the cars on the grid are commodores so there is a very loud noise to allow things that deal with their issues like diff coolers. funny thing is they require standard cams but allowed cam gears because that really wakes up the LSx engines....don't think they considered how much that might suit a skyline
  4. it was literally 2 lines, had already spoken to shell "customer service" and the fuel testers by phone. all I did was send the workshop invoice 4.5hrs @110/h and my receipt for $70. haven't got a response yet but I won't let it slide long, and will keep everyone updated. God_speed....same here, the workshop bill is $500ish as per above. glad it was a fuel problem - but in my case I was literally driving home from the workshop tuning it so there was no question about taking it straight back.
  5. Sorry Brian....I looked right down the list just didn't spell your name right Adam, I didn't realise Marek was a member on here, after all these are just the SAU class results not all of them..... If we are going to include ring-ins, how can we pass up Andre's time? Outrageously quick! 1 333 Andrie Tan Andrie Tanuwidjaja Radical Supersports 5E 16 15 0:57.7363* BTW I'm not sure if Duncan took the supersprint class record again, but I would be amazed if he didn't. His times are amazing and a real creadit to the car, and to his skills as a driver. Sports Sedan lap record is 0:58.2024 held by Hossack, but to get within seconds of that in a production car is amazing. Supercars are about .59 so he is only a couple of seconds off.
  6. hmm that is a sad way for it to end, especially considering you drove so well. And it must have been a hell of a rollercoaster with the off along the way. No point in blaming anyone else though, you read the rules (or should have), turned up with an illegal car, got caught and got disqualified. You are the only one responsible for this. Hopefully you will be back next year with a car without any issues, and finish up the pointy end again. BTW I'm surprised by the attitude from a lot of people in these recent posts - so here's a poll so this thread can stay on topic(ish) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Mo...ll-t319141.html I think the issues with the 999 rule and the short run cars being accepted is a much bigger problem for this event. Both are rules, but they are still bullshit.
  7. So this is pretty fresh given the issues Snowy has had at Targa....where do you stand? Are rules good for motorsport, made to be broken, or just rubbish to be ignored?
  8. either fulcrum suspension in sydney who do taller ball joints (very good idea because they are probably shot by now), or UAS who do an alloy ball joint spacer. but what exactly are you trying to address? it is difficult to do good adjustment to r32/z32 front end because the upper arm can't move far if at all.
  9. Cancel the question, I see Richmond/Thomson under Retirements (although that was not the case yesterday).
  10. Indeed....and it smelly pretty bad to me. Today's results for early modern are: 1. Manion/Dean 2. Beable/Beable (who we know did not complete at least 1 stage) 3. Dowie/Ryan (same, at least 1 stage missed) 4. Stevens/Ryan (same, at least 1 stage missed) 5. Thatcher/Handley. I also note Andrew is missing - was there a problem with his times? If i was Thatcher/Handley I would be pretty dirty about that. They were 1:39 behind first place, and lost 2 min on a stage with a battery issue on day 2....before fixing it and continuing. However, in the case of 3 cars in front of them, they failed to finished a stage for mechanical reasons but were creditted a time as if it never happened? If they had done the same thing would they have won EM by 20sec? There is something that stinks in these rules. No reflection on 2/3/4th place, if they are the rules and they have used them, well done. But if so the rules desperately need an overhaul.
  11. I am sure Anf at Dahtone Racing can help you, he is in Wetherill Park. Not sure who is OK and closer. BTW 90000klm is very few on a 15yo car, are you sure the timing belt has not already been done prior to the speedo being wound back?
  12. everyone except Mike's changes done
  13. ouch. huge bargain opportunity for someone with some spare coin atm
  14. I really enjoy the drivers struggling with the elevation changes at QR....adds a real dimension to the racing
  15. Not running a business on here in public would make me happy. If you want to offer customers a service at least do it in private via pm. Or just pay the small fee to become a trader and support the forum instead of exploiting it.
  16. thanks Tim...but I'm only after the ej1, not the hks camp as a row of tents. watched the supercars on the tv dash today
  17. ahah of course....that is why I have wired every important accessory through it's own individual circuit. chasing single issues and loosing everything at the same time was sending me crazy!!!
  18. correct (unless you want to drill access holes in the bottom of the sump webbing, not an issue if you do)
  19. The HKS kansai controller is the one that can be used for drag. Other than that and custom made applications like Mark Berry's R34, every other controller bends the signals in the standard ATTESSA computer. But the effectiveness of those controllers is over a wide range. If you want to go bottom of the market just buy a variable resister from jaycar, don't pay that ebay guy $250 for the same thing.
  20. SAU does have track days - we have hired race tracks for every available weekend date at the the track we can afford in 2010....thread is over here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...el-t318706.html
  21. Payment sent today.... Full Name: Duncan Car Type: 32 gtr vspec II n1 Newb or not: newb Most recent lap time if not newb (can be another track if necessary but make sure you mention which one): 1.07 # of Drivers: 1 (probably one more later) # of Passengers & Name: many no doubt
  22. why do you want them drilled?
  23. your crazy....popping and flames impresses the laydeeez
  24. just to mention - there are actually 2 bleed nipples in the attessa system, 1 at the gearbox and another right up near the diff (bastard to get to). Some people need no bleeding, most people can just bleed the lower one....but sometimes you need to bleed the upper one as well
