  1. I saw you had a bit of a moment in front of fatz into turn 2.... Decent lock up
  2. Lol What session was this? I'll have a look at the footage.
  3. To buy list: Driving skill Talent
  4. Car looked good out there. Pity the day ended a bit prematurely for you. Loved the challenge of trying to keep on the back of it for a few corners.
  5. Have a look through the 20 pages of RB20 results. Check out some of the dyno sheets, and you'll get an idea of what kind of power you will make while still retaining some response.
  6. You're going to hate the lag. I have a GTX3071 on an SR20 with VCT. I wouldn't say it's very much fun before 4000rpm. It builds boost, but isn't really working hard. It doesn't really bother me, as car is pretty much track only. I'd say for a RB20 you'd be looking at the best part of 5000rpm to really get moving. As above, look into more responsive high flow options.
  7. All depends how far you want to go. Oil and filter change, + what Johnny said. Check over your cooling system, make sure it's well bled. Bleed brakes with decent fluid. Check pads for sufficient material, or replace with uprated items Check tyres for sufficient tread, set pressures Check all other fluids, PS, diff, gearbox. Removed all random loose shit out of car Pack yourself a little box with some tools and fluids. The main things that stop cars on the track are overheating, and cooking brakes. And concrete walls. Avoid all three if you can.
  8. Correct.Only standard rebuild tolerance is accepted. You can bore 0.6mm out the block. You can take 0.25mm off the head. But the compression has to be with a specified range. It's all in the regs.
  9. And some pics of it thanks to Pezhead. Ta Eric I think the Type X front end came together well for a job done at home.
  10. Taking BakeomonoRicer GT car master out for a passenger session. Small brown stain in passengers seat afterwards. So, what's next? I've got to get the car ready for the upcoming RTDC day on the North Circuit in October. Nothing much needs doing, but might treat it to an engine flush and some fresh oil. Hoping for dry weather to bolt the slicks back on and hunt some GTRs and Emos.
  11. Fourth Session full vid Final session full vid
  12. Belated trackday wrap up. I had fun Car was good, I softened it out as much as possible and ran the federal RSRs in the wet conditions, never dried enough for slicks. The last session was a possibility, but no time to change them over as sessions were combined. Found the RSRs very pressure fussy. I dropped 2psi out and it turned into a dog, so I had to top them up again. they were happy round 36-37psi. Car never got off gate pressure boost, which was well enough for the conditions. Struggled for grip in turn 5 which had some arse clapping moments, also round corp hill made for some interesting driving.Brakes were fine - really never got to temp. Diff was great, so glad I had the Kaaz to make things predictable, and the ratio was an improvement, even in the bad conditions. Fastest lap was the last lap of the day, the last session was great, having a tussle with Dave for 3rd/4th. Unfortunately he pipped me by something like 0.15 of a sec. So ended up 4th of a field of 37, happy with that. I'm going to dump Track vids now... Fastest Lap of the day- Having a bit of a spin up the hill.
  13. Sometimes you can score some mad parts if you can untangle them from the chain link fence out the front!!
  14. Hahahahaha!!!! A Wild broad minded personcat appears! Very good driving mate for a first trackday. Nice and smooth. Completely the wrong line down the hill to the hairpin, but thats ok Real improvements made throughout the day.
  15. Nice spin Dave!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Nah mate... It was a hektic drift captured in your pics
  17. And a bit of a spin earlier in the day - unsettled the car on the kerbing too much, and got a tank slapper on!
  18. My last, and fastest lap of the day, finishing 4th. 1:10.2
  19. Got a few vids uploaded. Here is my final session that was an epic battle between Dave and myself for 3/4 place http://youtu.be/at04phEIcpk
  20. No worries Mathew! Happy to help even if we got a bit muddy in the process.
  21. Thanks to all the execs, members, and everyone else who made the day a great success. I think overall a great day was had. People generally drove within their limits, and the track marshals were quite understanding of the conditions. I hope the new guys had a blast, and learnt lots about car control in a relatively safe environment.
  22. Yup, 11/12psi, and about 220-230kw Hopefully will be smooth enough.
  23. I have access to a set of michelin wets, but can't really justify the cost of getting them mounted just for this day. I'll run the street setup of Federal RSRs that have plenty of tread. Should be ok, not fantastic.
  24. Another pic of frankindiff ready to go in.
