  1. Why not the V10 Toureg, and pocket the massive difference in change? I've driven one of those towing a big arse trailer. Was like nothing was attached to it. Excuse ignorance, but much difference between them?
  2. Well, long time since updates, so away we go! I noticed the rear pads were getting pretty hot, so I did something I should have done a long time ago. Cut the stone guards off it. I know, exciting right! On to better shit. I wanted to get it looking a bit tougher, and I went through a phase of looking for Type X bits for ages, but never bothered getting anything. I liked the look (everyone does compared to the earlier front end!!) and it gives me heaps more air to play with for ducting. Well, I found a OEM front bar, AND an OEM Lower lip for sale round my neck of the woods. Went for a drive, cash changed hands and boom; it was mine Needed a bit of work, had some random holes in it, bit of a ding, and was silver, but had all the metal to go behind it. Well, something to work on! So, I went to work - fibreglassed the holes, and a crack in the lower lip. Bogged up the dent, and filled the holes, More to come in a bit
  3. No, not all series two cars have "smart key". Some just have the normal central locking key/fob.
  4. The kit added roughly 70kw. Yes, there is absolutely every chance the rods will go on e85. Just accept it as a risk, and if it ventilates itself then build one up. No torque figure. Can't measure torque accurately on anything but an engine dyno. Too many other factors going on. Yeah, my power might be a bit low, but it was running the same boost, afr, and ignition timing as a lot of US cars claiming a lot more power. Dynos are different, operators are different, especially those damn Mexican ones hey Scotty
  5. 200rwkw at 6psi. And it not power that kills these motors, it's the huge amount of torque you can generate at low rpms, that stresses and bends/breaks the rods. You need to find a way to limit that. I experienced full boost at 2200rpm.
  6. It was amazing to see Tony Alford in the Winfield car mixing it with Terry. Really 1 sec behind the GIO car is amazing for a first meet in the car. Really really impressive. Also, getting the sierras down in the low/flat 40s is amazing. We have a lot of work to do
  7. That's GTR money for something with a pinto motor It's sure a long way from home, must be Looking for that special collector at that price. Fair few sierras have been changing hands over here. For anyone in Sydney, head to sydney retro speedfest on this coming weekend. Two Gibson GTRs will be going for it in the heritage touring cars. Plus the normal mix of skylines, sierras, commos, BMW, jag, and others.
  8. If any SAUers have won powerball... http://www.v8sleuth.com.au/classifieds/?chassis=93
  9. I don't know for sure, but I suspect that it was a customer car program for japan. So you fronted up with your $400,000 or whatever the cost, they built a car for you to race in group A under your racing team. Much like you had rouse, eggenberger, and others in the RS500s. So no, there isn't a magical version out there, they are the race cars tucked in the museums in japan. There are 4 remaining australian GTR group a cars. One was destroyed by skaife at Adelaide. 3 are race ready, the remaining one getting put on show in Victorian historic racing events.
  10. Wow, looks very clean. Passenger seats look hardly sat in!
  11. Ergh. I food coma'd yesterday arvo.
  12. There is a pair on ebay in Vic.
  13. Maybe we should do paintball next... There are a few people I wanna shoot
  14. Yes, my initial thought was sounds like rear toe is aggressive, as I've had a similar issue. Looking through the specs, exactly as I thought. Get it reduced to 1mm total, and I suspect you'll find a good outcome.
  15. That week of Man food at Casa de Yama must have taken it's toll. By my calculation you need another solid 10 weeks there before you get to play with the heavy weights
  16. Oh wow. You cracked 60kgs now, right?
  17. Why do they get an extra 100cc?? My motor has 1500cc. HR15. But it's now cool I can say my car can be a Racecar
  18. Vq35s are known to have failing cam and crank sensors. That can manifest itself as what you described, but also being hard to start. NFI about the CVT I'm afraid. Your nearest VQ specialist is Scotty nm35 on the forums here. What he doesn't know about VQs isn't worth knowing. Get him to put it on his consult clone and see if any error codes come up.
  19. Got nothing to do with that. Just wait till you find out what the sphincter of the universe is
  20. It's an auto thing on the forum. A few words automatically get changed into other word/s. Nothing you can do.
  21. As I'm guessing they are pretty rare on the ground in the UK, your best bet is probably yahoo japan, and using a forwarding service like jessestreeter or import monster. They should be able to send to UK. Plenty of Stock parts available on there.
  22. Cause nobody opened it and let the Nissan magic out of it yet!!
  23. It's the nicest interior IMO. Really lovely. I still don't like the front grill on them, but you can't see it when you're in those beautiful seats!
  24. Yes, it's a remote start remote. Starts the car without you being in it. Have a search, how to use it has been posted up before. Switch is in the drivers footwell.
  25. Welcome. You have the smart key as well as an option.
