  1. Very nice MNP 34 vspec on the commonara pk way this arvo about 4:15
  2. I don't think there are differences in the blocks, just in what goes in them. Some changes to the timing chain guides I think. Just make sure you get a DET for the piston oil squirters, as NA motors didn't have them I think. Best talk to a motor builder and start to make plans and involved them.
  3. Dunno about that one, don't know much info. But a GTX3582 would motivate it pretty well
  4. Ok, so I just noticed that some of the times have been adjusted, so if you haven't double checked, have a look at the first page again
  5. Wow, there is an original one left?! Contact PJ / advance, they seem to have a lot of VETs pass through there.
  6. I reckon it'll pull like a train to 7k, but say if you revved it out to 9k I think it'll feel flat. But exactly as Paul said, you just adjust your driving to suit.
  7. I dunno why you'd want to rev it anyway. The turbo sounds like it's going to choke any top end that's there, and feel like a turbo diesel... You get a great kick in the low-mid range, but the rest is pointless noise and revs. Anyway. Sounds like that's what you wanted. I really hope (sincerely) that you can enjoy this car, it's what you want, and you don't have any issues with it.
  8. Enter the SAU NSW trackday, and let's see what it can really do
  9. The tyres are shot honestly, they are hard as. They measure 235/45 in the conventional sense. Michelin just decides to put more number on them. I've got 235/45 RSRs as well. They are on my road wheels, and I've tracked them too. They aren't awesome but they don't suck. What your struggling for is balance in my eyes. Your front end is out performing the rear end. So you need to increase the rear grip, and limit the front ends impact. At the end of the day it doesn't matter what tyres you run, having the car setup to extract the maximum grip from whatever is available in the tyre is the goal. It would be worth sending the car to a suspension tuning workshop with track car experience and explaining what your feeling on the track.
  10. Michelin S8D (medium) slicks, 240/640 17s The second vid, the rears were worn out.
  11. -3.0 to -3.5 on the front -1.5 on the rear. Yes to castor arms, I think mine is around 6 degrees maxed out Forget changing spring rates, mine are tein monoflex 8/6 and are fine. Play with the dampening. I wind my fronts to about 90% hard, rears 30% Toe has already been mentioned- the 1mm mark is about right. Don't return to stock sways, just drop the link of the rear bar altogether and see how that goes. Also, have the car corner weighted if not done already. Winding heights up and down can really stuff up the balance. I'll post a vid of my 180 at the track for ..... Science!
  12. Strong first post. Drags up 6 year old topic about semantics.
  13. Something like a PT5858 on a 6boob, on e85 would work nice. Probably not 400 but close and pretty driveable.
  14. Pending what size turbo you stick on it, it's sounding much closer to 400 than equal or less than 300kw. What is the actual aim of the car? Drag street circuit etc If I was going for a street car 300kw is well enough for a datto shell, keeping in mind they are so light. The s15 box is the weakest of the s chassis, so option is convert a RB Z32 box, or be careful with a s14 and it will be ok. For 300, I wouldn't even bother building an engine. Stock bottom end will be fine, but if your much over that get some better head studs. Don't rev it much over 7500, and don't bash the limiter, cool it properly and it'll be a happy reliable engine.
  15. Didn't occur to you once, with all the car around you adjusting pressures all morning...? Pressures are for fancy people anyway.
  16. Passed the RTDC 996 turbo on the towtruck on the way to work this morning!
  17. Some crappy iphone fly-bys turn 2-3 https://youtu.be/4m7jZUMZxy4
  18. Your face was classic when I overtook you in the Micra, Luke!!!
  19. When you get to a spectator point wait for a shuttle bus to help you out otherwise it's a long walk.
  20. Still here. Lent it to a mate, mowed two lawns faultlessly. Someone come buy it. Neg.
