  1. Really? Cool. I thought they only got TC not a proper stability system. RWD stageas only got traction control, no vdc. Which is a bit lacking by 2007.
  2. No v35 has VDC in the true sense of the modern system. The rwd models have traction control, which cuts power once rear wheel slip is detected. It does not provide any assistance to gather the car back up into control. Awd models as in stageas and g35x don't have any systems but the attesa awd system. Yup, it tilts the side mirro down when in reverse to see the kerb.
  3. It should work, it works on vq25det motors, which have similar ecus. The timing is the most critical thing, and it must be done when the car is hot. Pit screen is totally unrelated. Pit screen is just a service reminder scheduled into the on board computer. It requires a manual reset you go through the menus to do. What do you mean vdc? Traction control? Auto is probably the rear mirror tilt.
  4. A much effort in every facet of this car. Glad to see the suspension is getting the time it deserves! What is the plan to release it in anger?
  5. What has changed? I read through, and bar the table of weights from last time I checked, I couldn't find changes. But I just skim, as not a competor.
  6. The above is correct I believe. Tighty righty. Turn fully to the right, then back X number of clicks ( # will depends on model) That's how I've been adjusting mine anyway.....
  7. Wouldnt the plce be boring if we all agreed all the time....! Check the wear UTQG. They aren't soft tyres. They aren't a proper r compound. I'll leave it there.
  8. Even the RS3s aren't a real semi slick. They are in the same boat as federal RSR, KU 36, to some extent AD08. They are a ling long (see what I did there....) way off real semis like Z221, A048, R888/NT01. Anyway, too off topic now, buy the best your budget will allow!
  9. My continental tyres corner at a higher G in the wet than the hankook evos can manage in the dry on the same car....

  11. And horrifically soiled from a slob and three kids....
  12. This one has wheels, it's a different car. A woman drives it.
  13. There is one that lives up hornsby heights. Mrs sees it all the time.
  14. Just buy the very best your budget will afford. Michelin will be good, so will Pirelli, dunlops, continentals, then you have the next tier down, like kuhmos, hankooks, etc, before you reach bottom ling long china spec which really don't rate a mention if your after a decent tyre.
  15. Nice. Hopefully will be a lot more fun with the 6spd once budget permits.
  16. I remember seeing a sign on it at wtac 2011
  17. Jetwreck will do the transgo if your in sydney Stabby. It really s a must do, and pair it with a trans cooler for extra win.
  18. Mine went through the passenger side when I had the need for a boost gauge. Then traced it behind everything up to the a pillar area. Length doesn't really effect its operation.
  19. PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM On-Vehicle Service (Foot Lever Type) INSPECTION While depressing parking brake pedal with a force of 196N(20kg, 44lb). Make sure that the parking brake pedal stroke is within the range of the specified number of notches. Number of notches: 2-3 Make sure that brake warning lamp comes on when parking brake pedal is depressed within one notch. ADJUSTMENT To perform adjustment operations, remove tire from vehicle with a power tool. Using a wheel nut, fix disc to hub preventing it from tilting. 1. Insert a deep-well socket wrench to rotate adjusting nut to loosen cable sufficiently. Then, after releasing parking brake pedal completely, adjust the clearance of rear shoes. 2. Remove adjuster hole plug installed on the disc rotor. Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, turn adjuster to clockwise as shown in the figure until adjuster is locked. After locking, turn adjuster to the opposite direction by 5 or 6 notches. 3. Rotate disc rotor to make sure that there is no drag. Then install adjuster hole plug. 4. After adjusting the clearance of rear shoes, with no drag on the rear brake, adjust cable as follows: a. Operate parking brake pedal 10 or more times with a force of 294 N (30 kg, 66 lb). b. Depress parking brake pedal until a deep-well socket can be inserted. Insert the deep-well socket, and rotate adjusting nut to adjust a pedal stroke to specified notches. CAUTION: Do not reuse adjusting nut after removing it. c. After operating parking brake pedal 3 to 4 times with a force of 196 N (20 kg, 44 lb), make sure that the parking brake pedal stroke is within the specified number of notches. d. With parking brake pedal completely returned, make sure that there is no drag on the rear brake.
  20. Or completely stuffed shock absorbers.
  21. The whirring noise is the DVD rom spinning up I think. It's used for the jap nav programs, and can't play DVDs I case your wondering. Mine hasn't had the issue, but Iamhe has, perhaps ask in the stagea section. Check fuses. Might be a connector, or button issue. Could lever it carefully up to try to kick start it and see if motors up.
  22. Saw it on the cover, thought, I know what that is! Bought mag!
  23. Yes, it's very common. But oil is an insulator, so shouldn't effect the coil packs. There is two ways of sealing. First buy whole new rocker covers. The seals are integrated. Or, two, try copper seal or something similar on the rocker covers to try to seal them. Btw, wrong thread?
  24. Check if snow car. Underbody rust. Service history, because lack of will result in premature turbo death, which, is inevitable at some stage. Check all driveshafts, boots, and suspension bushings. Particular ones flog out. Wheel bearings. Check CD player and AC is working. All windows work, motors flog out. I'm sure some others will add other points. Look forward to getting your Autech AXIS!
  25. Track down the noise. Nothing hard about that. Yes battery's will go flat like that. The pop up screen can be a little tricky. Sometimes you'll need to help it up, and it sort of re learns the process. Bish, please. This ain't no GTR! It's far rarer!
