  1. i think a few guys have tried blue leds without much success as there seems to be a filter in the cluster (the clear bit that actually makes up the number to let the light through) so only certain colours work, ie, orange, red, maybe yellow. to my understanding anyway. all other colours appear reeaaallllllllllyyyyy dull such that you can barely read them. edit* - not sure about your fitment issue though as i haven't tried any myself for fear of wasting money
  2. had a bunch of dj gear in the back last weekend, 2 12inch speakers 2 amps console table lighting stand 4 lights 2 bags of leads and a couple other miscellanious items and this was the resulting ride height (unfortunately didnt take photos of the gear inside) wish it sat like this all the time

  5. moderator to post in the parts thread??
  6. haha as is in my pic << mine is a c34 so it doesn't even resemble anything holden has ever made, i can sort of understand being the wheel arches are something common to the holdens but even then the rest of ur ARX's are completely different
  7. planning on running on the train tracks xxx2 style are you??
  8. i got told mine was a holden the other day, i was like nah it's a nissan, and the bloke was like so why do you have a holden badge on the front, i gave up, had gotten my ticket off him so i just drove in and left him standing there confused.
  9. well i got around to changing my timing belt today, bout 6 hours down so far, and still have to put 2/3 of it back together. this is tough for a first timer, but i'll be glad and better for the experience when it's done. big thanks to the guide that was posted previous, has been a big help, some bits had me confused where pieces of info weren't in their but i managed to figure it out, fingers crossed it runs good when i finish it tomorrow
  10. had some of the camber taken out of the rear the other week, and have used only one tank since, so not sure if i've just been driving gentler than normal or if its cause of the wheel alignment but i just got 400 out of a full tank, previous best was bout 330 for same city driving (average 290), highway when i drove it back from brissy i was getting approx 400-450 per tank, fingers crossed my fuel bill will be a bit cheaper now
  11. technically not correct, they will still insure you and take your money, but if it's not installed and you try to make a theft claim they will turn around and say no because it's one of our conditions that it is fitted. i really should get round to installing one in mine someday.
  12. i don't have a torque meter or anything to find out so what happens when i press the snow button in my manual converted rs4?? does it just do the torque and forget about using 2nd? or does taking out the auto box mean i am just turning on the light in the dash when i push the button??
  13. am i odd because i think that first one looks alrite......
  14. any chance you guys could throw in a quick stop off in Townsville in there somewhere
  15. Looks awesome, love that front bar. IMO needs just a touch more low, or an inch bigger rims to fill the guards a bit more. otherwise very nice indeed
  16. all is well with mum and baby, as of 1.26 this morning I have a son named Jayden Harold Price, who weighs in at 8lb 1 oz. another junior member to the stagea crowd
  17. Well very shortly will hav a little someone to carry in the back of my c34. Almost time to push
  18. ok that makes sense now yep
  19. so why is it that a compliance shop doesn't do the testing etc. surely within our circle there is a big demand for manual m35's. one would think they would make that money back quite quickly, or is it some insanely high price for that particular model for some reason??
  20. aah awesome thanks again. any advice on the water pump gasket??
  21. ok thanks guys. will probs go the kit through kudos. is there anything special i need to know? other than removing all old water pump gasket to get good seal and not turning any parts of the motor while the belt is off. and is there any special tools i would need? apart from the new gasket goo, and a socket set? Edit: speaking of which what is the best way to get the old seal off??
  22. don't know about a part number but found this while cruising through fleabay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WC34-Series-2-Stagea-Rear-Handbrake-Shoes-x4-Conceptua-/110644877418?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19c2f2d86a
  23. Pretty much self explanatory I think. Timing belt is well overdue, and I would like to know what brands I should be looking at for a quality belt/kit. Found a few on ebay. What are people's thoughts? NISMO with water pump: (price looks a bit steep to me though) $490 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NISMO-TIMING-BELT-SERVICE-KIT-100-000KM-SKYLINE-GTR-CEFIRO-STAGEA-RB25-RB26-/220893533016?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item336e47d358 Bando/NSK?? $170 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NISSAN-TIMING-BELT-KIT-SKYLINE-GTR-STAGEA-CEFIRO-LAUREL-RB20-RB25DET-RB26DETT-/220872048960?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item336d000140 Greddy/Trust $310 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GREDDY-TRUST-TIMING-BELT-KIT-SKYLINE-GTR-STAGEA-CEFIRO-LAUREL-RB20-RB25-RB26DETT-/220865648772?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item336c9e5884 or should I go to nissan dealer directly and get a genuine kit??
  24. given that he wants to run 9.5" rims and 10"rims both with a 40% sidewall they will be different rolling diameter. So no won't work, stay RWD *edit just reread and yes if they are both 235's though they will my bad
  25. A quick snap i took of mine installed. Very happy, fits great.
