  1. at the moment mine is basically stock, but clutch holds really well, mind you as i say it is very new. has held up to a few hard launches so far.
  2. aah ok, how might one "gently close the gap"? tap softly with a hammer? slowly tighten in a vice?
  3. very easy to tell look in 'Cars' section under picture of the writer, left side of screen <<< will tell you what they own haha probs get shot for this next bit but aren't all m35's auto therefore making all m35 drivers too lazy to change gears so probs to lazy to have a look that way <<< as well. Joking everybody!!! Only wrote this cause someone had to stick up for us C34 drivers
  4. This might be a noob question but for us not so mechanically experienced, ^^what is this? how is it done? and what is the purpose??
  5. I bought a exedy heavy duty organic clutch, and got it fitted for $1200. Through the only shop here that would touch an import. Don't know if that's good or not, but given they were the only one who would touch it, they probably price gouge a little bit.
  6. u wouldn't by any chance want to seperate, as i have a working afm, plus spare working afm, but my plug is broken, so i'm chasing just the plug. Stupid wreckers up here send all their imports down south so can't cut one off.
  7. had a quick look at afm appears the clippy bit on the plug is broken so nothing actually holding the plug in tight, probably be the problem. Now to find a new plug to wire in, none on ebay atm tho.
  8. mine must have something not really running right cause i only get 270-300 out of a tank of 98 octane, mind you it's all stop start driving and my right foot weighs a tonne so i dunno. Front mount, 3 inch cat back, and a mushroom shaped filter. Any comments??
  9. that's exactly where i wanna put mine, cause of requirements with space etc. i can't just buy a normal box, and slim box just sitting there would look f***in stupid, details on how it was done, costs etc. or just how much to make me one. im sure u would almost be able to start a production line for all us C34 owners, i would think there'd be a bit of interest. Looks trick, very professional
  10. i found them to but yeah heard they are pretty shite, i also looked at this http://www.pioneer.com.au/au/products/25/131/201/TS-WX77A/index.html but apparently they're not much chop in something as big as a wagon for good sound, alrite in utes and stuff or if not really planning on playing loud/ want good quality and they are too long to fit across the back of the 60 split rear seat
  11. aren't they there to stop the rain getting down inside the window seeing as the top doesn't seal up under anything?? so removing them would likely let water run down and into the door??
  12. Pulled bumper reo and intercooler off yesterday and this morning. cleaned intercooler, not very dirty though, cleaned lights while they where out, look a little better. cut reo a bit in an effort to get my front bumper sitting better over the intercooler, reo sits heaps better but front bar still out of adjustment though. bad. guess i'll have to put the sikaflex back in to hide the gap, and save for an R34 conversion kit haha
  13. What weight oil would be suitable for a 1999 Rs4 with around 120,000km on the clock?? would 10w 40 be ok??
  14. mine has aftermarket catback 'This thingy' removed lol. and a single 4 inch cannon on the rear, extremely fckin loud, sounds good though *edit - 3" pipe
  15. so did i. that mel was awesome just intelligent comeback after intelligent comeback didnt stoop one bit haha and all the owner had was highschool insults. lol
  16. 1999 RS4 manual conversion done, was bought mid-late last year with 107,000 ks now 118,000 including the drive up from brissy (1600ks), had to replace the clutch and a couple services. Thats it. So happy with it
  17. wish i could help mine has been in a rear ender as well so don't know it if's actually correct. and i don't know how to post photos.
  18. also saw the only M35 we have up here today while driving the work truck around, again seems to be stock.
  19. Not that anyone else will know where it is but spotted the 8th Stagea that i've seen in Townsville at the Dalrymple Rd council depot, silver RS4S appears stock. There's not 8 still here as atleast 2 have moved and haven't seen the others for a while but thought i'd post anyway. I think i'm the only stagea owner in the ville thats on this forum.
  20. so according to this you guys with c34 and r34 front would be very easy to convince them that it's a skyline wagon and that they can't get you for anything.
  21. just a quick thought everyone seems to be saying 'get decent pads' but not really mentioning what their opinion of 'decent' pads are mayb throw some suggestions out there. i would but got no idea.
  22. Just fitted the front pads, did the rears the other weekend. So now she pulls up alright, for standard brakes anyway. something good about DIY and saving a s**tload in labour costs.
  23. just got my new clutch installed and gave the missus a try at driving it, she bunny hopped first, stalled on the change to second, restarted, stalled first. put the hazards and handbrake on (leaving the car in the lane) jumped out and told me that she wasn't driving my car again cause it was s**t and didn't speak for the rest of the way home. lol
