  1. That really looks like a satisfying car to drive....... and that SOUND!!!!
  2. I'm assuming some of you watched RPM yesterday about this? Interesting times ahead indeed, and didn't Gary Rogers look like he wanted to really speak his mind but thought better of it?
  3. I receieved an email with the MXL dashs on special yesterday, golly they're fine looking things. I'd put one in my 32, 'cept that'd be totally overcapitalising!
  4. Ahhh, M3 you say, better to grab an M5 I reckon. Four door comfort and at least the rear windows wind down to get rid of the you know what when four blokes get in a car. The same mate that has that M3 also has this 3.8L M5 (he reckons it's more fun than his 33 GTR w/- 500HP), from memory he paid about 8k for it. Of course we could sell "ours" when we're done if it wasn't rolled up into a ball
  5. LOL.... the Minister is alive and well
  6. Stick with what ya know Troy. IMO, Cossie's are really no better than an early "Impreza Turbo", and are too expensive coz of the cult following. So, Rb20 POWAH or Impretzel I say. Cheap as bad fish n chips
  7. Blitz air filters from memory. Got me on that controller then........ (???) You're looking at buying it? Looks like a nice car.
  8. Yes good thinking 99. I've never played the 'ring on Playstation, best to get myself set up and start hey! On a side note, I've floated the idea with a co-driving friend of mine of pace-noting it on a sighting lap. That'd be a pretty good way of putting in some fast laps for a novice (to the 'ring). Maybe that's something to think about Snowy once you're comfortable with notes? (post Targa for instance) EDIT: Thinking about it now, given you've done some laps you're likely quite comfortable with it. I wasn't thinking straight, the excitement has got to me
  9. Gee Roy, sounds tough mate! Re the 'ring, I'm mad keen, though am in the same boat Andrew, Targa soaks up lots of cash, and later in the year would be better for me too. lol, looking at the renter racer site, it looks just like playing Gran Turismo but with real, harder to obtain, money
  10. No sweat mate. If it is an EDFC, easy way to check is have a look under the bonnet, the top of the shocks should have a little square black box with (I think) three wires leading from them.
  11. On top of the column - Turbo Timer. Driver's left knee - APEXi EDFC controller? (Electronic Damper Force Controller?)
  12. Meh... bugger that! This is what we all know we really want; http://my105.com.au/classified.asp?id=9430 She's a glamour! But seriously, sell the trailer.... part out the rest?
  13. HICAS lock kit... can you PM me the details on what's included if it's still available please?
  14. Alright Snowy... I think you need to start a new thread so we can get this ball rolling!!!!
  15. Great idea Keep me informed of this.... I might be able to wangle some use of a mate's M3 that he keeps near the track for just this purpose
  16. Looks like lots of fun Love the preztel-double-shuffle @ 4:42
  17. I want a bloke's shed like you have I'm so jealous, that's a really nice piece of kit, must get out to watch you run sometime
  18. Now now, if I hadda known a rule change was on the cards I wouldn't have started this RR Merlin conversion into my AE86............
  19. Off topic Roy, are you gonna answer my email..... have cash burning a hole in my pocket. OUCH!
  20. I too have been kept entertained reading this thread. Harry, I'm with you on the Qld round being at Lakeside. Roy, if you come up for it we should share my car and take turns in running into the back of other cars, we'd get our 15 seconds of fame then..... we'd be the talk of the town
  21. Grrrrrrr, I'm not heading out now, work has got in the way Hope much fun is had!
  22. What happened after day 1? Who ended up with yours? Rocket? Do I know him? The car is still in Melb so figured we'd drag her up to Winton for a test and flog
