On a side note, I've floated the idea with a co-driving friend of mine of pace-noting it on a sighting lap. That'd be a pretty good way of putting in some fast laps for a novice (to the 'ring). Maybe that's something to think about Snowy once you're comfortable with notes? (post Targa for instance) EDIT: Thinking about it now, given you've done some laps you're likely quite comfortable with it. I wasn't thinking straight, the excitement has got to me

No sweat mate. If it is an EDFC, easy way to check is have a look under the bonnet, the top of the shocks should have a little square black box with (I think) three wires leading from them.

On top of the column - Turbo Timer. Driver's left knee - APEXi EDFC controller? (Electronic Damper Force Controller?)
