  1. How about Rally Tas then Targa Guesty? If I was a first timer I'd definately be having a crack at the Rookie Rally first Nice little event that one, with the opportunity to get a free entry into the full Targa the following year. I reckon we'll have the MPC boys crewing for us again, but hopefully we'll see your face around
  2. Troy, would have loved to come, but unfortunately it clashes with Indy. Apparently they even have car racing there too but I haven't seen any in the 14 years I've been going. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Tvf5hHZZdI
  3. Ahhh, that what it's all about! Everyone coming together to keep eachother going! Top effort all round guys! lol, you don't see too much of that comradery in drag racing! That's one of the big reasons tarmac rallying keeps me coming back :-D
  4. Well done to both of you! How was Burnie this year? Pretty dry I heard? It's a great little event isn't it! Yeh I saw Dave had some issues, two stages he couldn't finish wasn't it? Crappleton and i ran the very very wet Burnie last year, we loved it! .... riiiight up until the very last stage, running third outright. Crappo thought he didn't just want to BEAT Longhurst, he wanted to SMASH him. But, LOL, a picture tells the story! Well done to you guys again!
  5. Haha, reminds me of the pic crAppleton sent in for my profile in 2005;
  6. I ran 11.13 @ 128.5 mph (1.7 60ft) the one time I ran my 32 with 307RWKW. Sh*tter Avon tyres, single plate clutch, full weight. With 350RWKW, I'd expect a 10.7 or 10.8, keeping in mind that you may smash the 'box if you're too brutal.
  7. So, the entries have started to be confirmed. Can anyone confirm if there's a facility for us to form a "team". Don't want to leave the Evo traitors out, maybe "Team Nutjob" or something? Just a thought.....
  8. My bad.
  9. Benny, I've driven many GTR's, and this thing has to be the best! I can't put my finger on what it is exactly, because as you know, tarmac rules dictate that very few mods can be done. You know, no adjustable arms or bushes in the suspension etc. We had the guys from MPC go through the suspension because we felt it was far too stiff at Targa (minimal weight transfer in the wet particularly), had some new springs made (the rears were binding terribly) and it's transformed the car. It turns in like nothin else, and has a great little bit of oversteer on the corner exit if you choose to drive it that way. The only issue, and it's a MAJOR one, is the amount of pad knock-off happening. It's really bad! So bad in fact that it actually detracts from your concentration because you need to be consciously pumping the pedal after every little corner, rather than just giving it a little tap when on the straights. Hopefully moving to a full-floating disk will cure it for Buller. As for HICAS, as far as I know it's still there in all it's factory glory.
  10. Do you know who Matt (BLUEGTR) has navigating for him if anyone... maybe a seat there??? Matt has my old 32 GTR and it's currently @ Whitey's workshop getting the cage treatment. Just a thought
  11. Hahaha, that was all for you Brisby! I'd love to do some more laps of both, sooo much better than the "paperclip" up here! Hey, while I have you, any of you lads making a social appearence @ Mt Buller? Oh, and thanks Ferni, I just wish i had more chances to get behind the wheel. Sold mine many moons ago and have been driving autos ever since
  12. That wiring plug is just for the low brake fluid warning light. Have you messed up something with the brake pedal installation when you put the manual pedal box in? From memory the link rod from the pedal to master cylinder is adjustable..... ie, are the brakes constantly engaging?, and just getting worse as they heat up, and in turn, bind up. (until of course they just fade, then catch fire).
  13. Oopsy! My bad!!! We ran Hards. I had medium in my head because we ran those at Targa. They were ok but Dean screwed the front right at Sandown, they call him Mr Plough Understeer. will edit post now.

  15. Yeh was talking to Jeff Beable at Dutton Vic, says he's super keen to get back in a real car!
  16. Same goes.... TT979 stepped up again. Is it time for a "Targa Tas 08, Who's running, discussion etc?"
  17. Bugger! I threw two out only last month in the big "32 GTR throw-the-whole-damn-lot-out" sale. I KNEW that'd come back to bite me! lol
  18. Oh no lads.... someone's had an off big time on Saturday. Turn 8 I've been told. Snowy, when I first saw the pic I thought OMG, it's Snowy, but now I can see it's silver/grey not blue. Doesn't make it any better, but at least I was told everyone's fine. Here's a pic I was sent......
  19. Fun aint strong enough a word mate! lol... how good was it to attack Winton and Sandown sight unseen! OMG, and in my state Sunday morning! haha
  20. Oh how good was it fellow Datto fans! excellent to meet you all, great show show all of you. Andrew and Breise, congratulations!
