So true Ben! I spoke to him the morning of Day 5. He was asking if his penalty was in fact 20 mins or if he would be stung with 20 mins per missed stage (60 in total). I could confirm for him it was "just" 20 total. He told me how far behind a podium he was, and I kind of asked him tongue in cheek if he could regain it for a podium. Well, did he have a crack or what!?!? Made it not just to the podium, but to 2nd! An amazing effort I think!

Yeah, 15 mins before and after is correct as the Snowy says above. I'm certain they'll look at it again for following events. As has been said many times, the penalty just didn't match the "crime".

It's insured for me and me only to drive it, and I won't risk a genuine no accident car on a stranger's driving! lol I'm not desperate to sell, hence I've not bothered to advertise it elsewhere..... I took a deposit on the car yesterday, just awaiting the arrivial of the prospective interstate buyer....

Harry, Adam sold that S13 we built with RB20, suspension, shit cage, R200 LSD, 5 stud conv, 32 GTR brakes, race pads, new wheels/KU36 tyres, Velo seats, fresh paint etc, all rego'd for $6k. All it needed was a computer, RB25 turbo n tune. Bloody good value I reckon. What I like about S13 owners is many of them take a good swift kick in the balls well and are very negotiable

All I can say is it's in lotsa bits and SL will be an epic challenge!

Forget the STi's, you really can't get the power out of them that you can an Evo.... not easily anyway. And the Radical's etc are way WAYYYY off your alluded budget of 10k. So, we come back to the Nissan's, because a decent Evo is double that.

Tend to agree Noel..... not a "real car" in my book. No matter how quick they are, I just can't seem to get interested in them.

I went with a GTS-t for a couple of reasons; 1. RB's sound awesome, I just cannot cope with the 4 clys of the S chassis. 2. having tracked GTR's, they're far too dear ongoing. 3. If I were to bin it, it's relatively easy to re-shell. 4. I simply prefer the look of the Skyline. 5. i agree a 33 is a good choice, but I like the more "old school" feel of the 32 and the look. However, Evo's are very good value now and are very easy and quick, although steer clear of the first Gen, just too fragile. They still sounds disgusting, and are relatively boring, but if any reasonable man valued the dollar for speed, they're a winner. Cannot argue with the fact that an S13/14 is a very VERY good little track car though!

You're absolutely right mate. I reckon that particular spot is where the stage actually changes character, and many many were caught out there judging by the black marks on the road by the time we went through. it's wierd how as soon as I saw the entry and exit wounds, I just KNEW one of my mates had been through there! LOL
