brilliant, always wanted to do that, just never had the time too... and what Troy did too, wanted to pull over in front of the camera so it blocks its view... A mate saw one about 1/2 a km from his house, when he got home, he walked back to it, (no one in the car) turned the box around in front of the car - its the flash i think? i thought that was great as well.... I agree, the more people that do it, the more people it will give the idea to and hopefully end up with speed cameras being marked... But i don't think i would of run away when the speed camera guy ran towards you... like you said what can they do? just sit there and laugh at him - they are just private citizens aren't they?

Nice one... sorry to hear about the car Troy No luck at all hey Al: Don't worry to much about the understeer, i had the same thing at Winton, but it was fine at PI... too many sharp corners at Winton...

what model headunit? how many RCA out? What rear speakers at the moment? Grab a nice set of splits for the front with an amp to power it, and a sub and amp, leave the rear speakers running of the head unit as rear fill... look for 2nd hand gear for that money, caraudioaustralia.com

What is the difference in Blow Off Vavles?
ferni replied to eXc's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Whats the point of spinners? there is no point... just rice As far as i know its to do with the rice factor/sound.. and the amount of pressure they can hold... but no reason to upgrade stock BOV. -
I like it, yeah i can see the 350z look...

A friend was doing 120 or something in a 60 zone, cop pulled him up, he said his name address, gave him his license when asked.. the cop asked him why he was speeding he said nothing, cop asked him did he know how fast he was going he said nothing, cop wrote him a ticket for doing 80 in a 60 zone (what he clocked him at)... that worked out well for him i guess!

GTR Badges on GTST
ferni replied to Constantly_Incognito's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Yeah, look at a GTR next to a Gtst and the differences are obvious... look for the flaired guards, if they have them, its a GTR (unless a wide body kit has been put on it, very expensive and rare).. if no flair guards, then its a gtst... Also i'm get to see a decent GTR kit on a Gtst.. they just look cheap compared to the real GTR ... don't quite look right... If i had a gtst i wouldn't put a GTR kit on it, there are better kits for the gtst. I've pulled up next to a few gtst's with gtr kits/badges, i look at them shaking my head, but they just look dead ahead, won't look at me, hah! -
agree silva33 as well

awesome power, looks clean... what state are you in? -
Anywhere you can't keep your eyes on it... i try to never leave mine at the shops, i try to go to smaller shops so i can be within range for my pager to go off if the alarm is triggered... Don't park it at any train station full stop - all cars get targetted there.

Spoke to my mechanic yesterday, mention this to him, he recons the o2 sensor will have very little effect... it only fine tunes it, so wouldn't make too much difference... more likely to be the AFM he says... Its an auto, the box seems fine, its not flaring between gears or anything, drives perfect....

Can't belive you'd let someone drive your car like that !! but nice pics/vids

When i first got it i used to get heaps of comments at the lights etc.. heaps of looks, now i don't really notice them, i think its more to do with i'm not looking around at the lights now, don't want to draw attention to myself (or know that the attention is there) I'm paranoid as about parking my car anywhere, so i like to think it doesn't draw too much attention, but i know it does. A mate said to me the other day 'i can't belive all the people looking at us as we drive around' hahah i'd forgotten that it does get looks. There are the occasional idiot who stereo type you because of the few idiot skyline drivers out there, and cops, but i've been lucky with the cops, only hassled twice and no fines - because there really isn't anything to fine me on.

What camera was that with? What settings etc? Nice shots Not too sure how you did the first one, windows closed, drivers side, no back window to hang the camera out of... was it attached outside the car or something?

Whats involved in changing the O2? does anything else need to be removed to get to it? Where would i buy a replacment from?

My gf's R33 non turbo's fuel usage seems pretty average. I would of though from a 2.5litre N/A she would get a little better than ~350km per 50 litres... i would of espected closer to 500... i get around 300-350 in my GTR, so surely she should be getting more? Is it her O2 Sensor? Where is it on the R33 N/A? Anyway to test it... I read a few threads saying if you shake it and it rattles, its dead... Any feedback? What do other R33 N/A's get to 50L?
-
Removing the restrictor won't quite get you 1bar, just under... you'll need to bleed some more air from the vacuum if you want 1bar

Its an actuator on the heaterbox, need to pull the whole dash out to get to it do a search on clicking heater box or something like that to find more info

Control you ECU via a PocketPC PDA
ferni replied to frankdonato's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I emailed them. Here is the reply: Hello Andrew Currently we are just at the end of field trials and it all looks good. We should have a deliverable product by Mid to End of January. EcuXtend will be released in two packages; * Full Package which will contain the software, interface unit with cables and a HP Ipaq rz1710 PDA * Interface and software ONLY package which will be the same as the full package minus the PDA. We anticipate the RRP for the FULL package will be $999 and $599 for the INTERFACE ONLY package. Due to issues in obtaining information for PDA's the only PDA's supported will be the HP IPaq range at this point in time until we obtain the required information to use other PDS devices. If you have not already done so, register on the mailing list as all people who register will be emailed when the product is released. You can register at http://www.rationalracing.com/signup.asp If you have any further queries please dont hesitate to contact us. to which i replied saying sounds good, but for the $1,000 mark i think i'd prefere a PowerFC, but good luck... they replied with: hi Andrew we know about the powerfc and don't feel that it will impact ecuXtend due to the fact ecuXtend is a fully software driven product therefore will lend itself to be more flexible in the future in via software enhancements and the like. Also from the feed back we have had people like the colour display and the like on the ecuXtend rather than the plain old mono LCD the powerfc unit has. Also the powerfc unit is a complete ecu where ecuxtend is more and extension to the Nissan factory ecu.
