  1. What he said ^^^^^^^^^ fluid is probably shifting when turniong left that causes sensor to activate.
  2. I think you will find that the diameter of the discs for both turbo and non turbo versions will be the same, HOWEVER the thickness of the disc will be different.......Basically this means that you will require the appropriate discs that go with the calipers you bought. You will still be able to maintain your wheels by simply having the discs re-drilled to the 4 stud pattern.......any GOOD engineering place will be able to do it for you. I do NOT suggest doing it yourself as there is very little margin for error. You MAY also require spacers for your wheels to fit as the caliper and disc combo will be larger than the ones currently fitted.
  3. Funky.......As far as I am aware, no concise bills have been passed at this stage. The warning is shown on their website as posted above......from what i can gather you are in the business of importing, I am surprised you did not recieve direct correspondance from Dotars stating the same thing. Last years AMENDMENTS to the ruling were a very quickly sorted matter, as the ruling had always stated that the month of manufacture was required, however this was only enforced as of Sept 2nd. Due to the surprise nature of that announcement it was not surprising that Dotars allowed vehicles to be imported via the "loophole". This time around however we have all been forewarned. I personally do not feel confident enough to risk purchasing 1990 model vehicles until a firm ruling has been announced. Lang.......I sincerely hope this works out for you, last thing I would like to hear is of people losing money due the change in legislation. As you mentioned, you were aware of the possibilities and have found it to be a viable risk. Good luck.
  4. BUT.......it is stated on the doatars website, and in written correspondance that I am no doubt many others have recieved..........NOT to purchase 1990 model vehicles under the presumption they will allow them....... I would think this would enable them to refuse approval, given that we were warned...... I myself have avoided purchasing 1990 model vehicles for this reason. Perhaps you could ellaborate on your reasoning funky? Have you recieved in writing something to follow up what you have stated? I am VERY interested to know
  5. To my knowledge they are all the same.......i could be wrong though, has been knwon to happen. Try google images, should come up with something
  6. I still require seats, however due to circumstances.........i can only offer $100 for the pair......let me know what you think.
  7. At this stage I am yet to encounter any real delays.......my vehicles are shipped from Nagoya.
  8. Nice car that......i looked at purchasing that one........the brown interior put me off though...... I am sure you will enjoy it.......did the guy you bought it off mention the timing belt had already been replaced in Japan?
  9. 100 bucks and a carton of Vommit bombs ( VB )
  10. I don't see how that would be possible unless they have HEAPS of them over there.....sorta like silvias in australia......alot of the time it is cheaper to buy a silvia already in OZ than import one.
  11. No i can't........give the man a prize
  12. Us Qlder's aren't the best at drift but we don't ALL put our cars into trees.......well, not THAT often anyway........lol
  13. Not without modification, you will be able to fit a BN rear bar if you re-shape the bar to suit the different style tail lights.
  14. .........Hrmmmm.......I would love a workshop.....aint gonna happen though. I really want a hassle free day with all the family........
  15. I will start the bidding at 50 bucks hehehe
  16. Like Nark said........not possible to only change the bar...... Is this in aid of getting the embossed "skyline" bit on the bar? You can get add on bits that have the "skyline" light up.
  17. So at 1 bar of boost opn an RB20det with rb25 turbine.......vehicle used for drift etc.....best to get one? Sorry to hijack
  18. Found a reciept for it in the car.......(car is fresh from Japan) Turns out it was onlybought brand new and fitted 6 weeks before i bought the car too!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. I think you will find that most warranty groups only cover items that VERY rarely break.eg: they will cover you if you shatter a piston, but WON"T if you blow a head gasket. Even if you blew the head gasket, then shattered a piston on the way to get it fixed they will tell you to bugger off. Not worth the paper they are written on in my opinion. ESPECIALLY when you are saving money by servicing your car yourself, most workshops charge about $100 just to do an oil change.....add up the cost of that every 5000klms......over the next 50,000klms you just saved a hell of a lot of money (enough to cover a gearbox) Not to mention the cost of the warranty itself......depending on the coverage i think they START at $350. Good luck with whatever option you choose.
  20. I have never seen it, BUT the S15 fronts are not a simple bolt on addition to the S13's so therefore, don't expect them to go on without modification onto cefiro or laurel. However with the kits available for S13's i would not imagine it would be too difficult. Would look a bit screwed up in my opinion though.
  21. To fit the 2 door rear to a 4 door, you will need to replace the tail lights, the bootlid AND the rear bar.........provided you replace all of these items they should bolt straight on.
  22. I think you may be right with the speed sensing idea for power steering.......doesn't Hicas use the speed of your vehicle as a guide to when to engage etc? So do the R32's use a big cable type of speedo or the elec type?
  23. do the R32's use electric speedo's or was there a big cable thing going into the back of the cluster.....sounds like something is not plugged in correctly.....you are simply going to have to remove the cluster again and check everythin you touched the first time around.
