  1. Sorry to go a bit off topic, but I really like your car Noddy
  2. I should have specified, I'm not saying that it should be built entirely to the rules but it would be handy to build it quite close to the specs of a racing class that you may want to enter into in the future to save money. By all means change castor rods etc, because they're cheap and easy, but maybe don't build a bored/stroked monster that will never fit into any class if you have aspirations of one day doing door to door racing.
  3. This is a top car people. Very quick, and well looked after It's a steal at this price!
  4. I'll pop in and say hi
  5. I don't think people are pushing their own agenda, I think some good advice has been given out. All they'rte saying is that if you want to build a car for sprints, you may as well build it for a class so that if you do one day desire to go door to door racing then you can, which is a smart way to do it... which is not what I did
  6. A good mate of mine races a 944 S2 with his dad in the Porka club. It's a great car, but they're selling it now as it isn't quite challenging enough. It's a bit too good for it's own good if you get my drift. Too much grip, not enough power but the 944 challenge seems like a decent series and there's cars popping up for sale all the time
  7. Can anyone tell me what the protective blankets that you wrap around the bellhousing are called?
  8. Agreed. I think it's really good for a first time track, just don't go balls to the wall and you should be right Dezz
  9. For me it was more of a not knowing what gear you're in, rather than missing gears. Not used to the torque of a V8! I'll still do it sometimes, 3rd and 4th can seem pretty much the same sometimes. I've got a Ripshifter in mine and it's miles better than the stock throw. Stock is way too long... hell, even the ripshifter is still too long
  10. I'd probably go for the 32 within that kind of budget, as they already have decent brakes, GT-R parts are easily retro-fitted, parts are easy to find and they're relatively cheap to maintain with decent potential.
  11. It's a V8 thing, sometimes I have to check mine to see what gear i'm in too
  12. You're all wrong, a J port is the only way to fly on an RB... *shakes head*
  13. So cool Stu, I'd love to take that for a spin. In regards to the fuel issue, it doesn't surprise me one bit. In the 9 or so cars I've had, I've never once ran out of fuel. In my Clubbie I have run out 5 times in the past 18 months... and I have a fuel card. Unbelievable. The gauges are as useless as tits on a bull! It also needs a bit of fuel to start it, like 7 or 8 litres, so two trips to the servo with a jerry can. I now have a nice can collection... And the things are fvckin heavy when you have to push them. It's no 180SX that's for sure
  14. Yeah Stu, how was the Munro?!
  15. Nice vid. I was sitting next a black Z06 on Dandenong rd the other day, so fat in person!
  16. I dig it Snowy, nice one
  17. A mate of mine got one of these POV cameras: http://www.vsport.com.au/ecommerce/?categoryID=157 I was pretty impressed by it, seems like quite a good thing.
  18. Car looks great Snowy, good luck!
  19. Scuds are super expensive, and have a big waiting list from what I'm aware.
  20. 996 GT2? Should be within budget, and runs along the same lines as having the CS but for Porka fans: http://carsales.com.au/used-cars/private/P...gt2&trecs=7
  21. The fate of my car lies in your hands mate!
  22. The Lotus idea would be a near on perfect car in my books. Pity I don't think I'd have a hope of hell fitting in one. NiassanGTR: I think the 35 will be a massive success, but you need to understand that even though Nissan are gunning for the Porsche Market, that's not where a lot of their customers will lie. Porsche fanatics buy a Porsche, sell the it and buy another one. You'll obviously have some customers who will swap over, but I don't think they'll win over the diehard fans, just as Porsches don't win over die hard GT-R fans.
  23. I was aiming for last years one! But it's not too far off. Just need to get the wiring finished (which is taking up most of the time), fit the brakes up, then some piping etc and tuning and it should be good to go... maybe
