Another point to consider with ECU's other than the PFC is their plug and play ability. Is the Link a direct plug-in to the factory loom? (I have no idea) or are you going to be paying hundreds of extra $$$ to have it wired in? If the latter is the case, it almost defeats the purpose IMO. $1400 for the ECU + ~500 for it to be wired + tuning on top of that = PFC even at current prices is going to work out cheaper. I'm not trying to sway you either way Noel, just making sure you are aware there may be additional expense involved with a non plug and play option.

You can't tune a stock ECU. You might be able to pick up an SAFC/SAFC2 for that sort of money if you shop around though, then you will have something to tune.

So this should apply to any fuel pump? If so why do people keep banging on about risking your engine with Walboros?

That is the series 1 type M front bar. As others have said, there is no series 1.5 front bar, only series 1 (standard or type M) or series 2.
