  1. Here i go, no turning back now..........
  2. No one shot the messenger. Dont feel like its your fault, your not Tony Abbot are you? And what do you expect anyway? No ones happy about it, maybe you should have not said anything. Ps: Everyone judges everyone all day every day, its human nature.
  3. Considering mine are a little lumpy and cracked all the paint off except for one... you should watch youtube and learn how to do it. Unless you dont give a fk how it looks DIY and you can only blame yourself, or pay a pro. And i dont drink
  4. So why make life difficult? Whats to gain? Whats the point? Surely theres some reasoning behind this. Although i doubt it, bunch of idiots never change. end rant? NEVER!
  5. Yeah, it takes a bit of time to do it right.
  6. Zebra, aka Andrew has it, dunno if hes finished doing the rears. Just ask him, but remember to bring it back when yous are finished.
  7. Ive been slack and done nothing, waiting for the good paint stripper to be in stock. I have to strip it to bare metal, because the clear is peeling and you never know what exactly makes it peel.. so it has to be all removed or it will happen again. I would like to sodablast but it will cost a few hundred for sure, and my aim is to keep the cost as low as possible but still do a proper job. Shes all pulled apart, vynil gone, even got the doorhandles out. Must fit brake air deflectors and radius rod braces tonight. In the meantime im learning some tricks and techniques to make it quick, easy, cheap and good quality. What i did to the interior bugs me, so i try not to think about it. ill take care of that later.
  8. I know man... its hard not to. What if instead of making it nice, make it handle and even lighter. We just got new bitumen at the hillclimb track......... I can make a cold air box for it, and a strut brace.
  9. The right thing to do is have a dirtbike for the dirt and a roadbike for the road. How does that translate? We need different rules for different situations, not one rule for all trade. Yes its more work to figure it all out, but that is what has to be done. Guess what happens if plumbers take shortcuts to simplify things? You get shit in your drinking water.
  10. Oh yeah modern Lego is so nice. I bought a vintage lego train at trash n treasure, $60, expensive? when i got home i looked it up; $500 for a complete one, $3500 in the box. Its missing a couple of common bits which i have. That Nissan motor.. i was thinking, its like two moto gp motors, roughly twice the capacity and nearly twice the output. But it needs a turbo.... if its a high maintenance race engine, its no improvement ( apart from fuel efficiency), just a new size. If its a reliable street car engine, then its a real winner, as long as its not incredibly expensive. It would go great in a Lotus or similar..... no, two in a purpose built 600kg racecar! YEEEEAAAAH!
  11. Lego? The missus bought me another horizon express for my birthday. So now i can make the long one with both ends!
  12. So it seems my "emotional" response was right on the money. People who make policy designed dual sport bikes. Fkn good for nothing.
  13. Oh another thing..... I took bubs to hydrotherapy this morning, after i left some guy came around to my house ( the missus was home ) with dodgy bullsht stories. I think he knocked on the door cos he saw no car and the front window open with the aircon outlet. He did it yesterday too. It seems he has looked at our mail and tried to guess the name of my missus and failed. Totally sus. He is driving some old shtbox khaki 4wd ute with a cage on the back. If i see him he will have to explain what he is up to.
  14. I got black lines, and the adr number is printed on a clear sleeve, in black....... Noodles anyone?http://www.canberratimes.com.au/photogallery/act-news/tuggeranong-noodle-bar-fined-for-dangerous-food-safety-breaches-20140130-31ot3.html?selectedImage=2
  15. You work in the misinformation dept. So.. anyone who buys a sparkplug or one $5 gasket will have to fill out an import declaration. NOT FKN LIKELEY! Are you crazy? Whoever told you this is full of shit. Think it through, obviously you havent. Trade will die, people will get angry because they cant pay the rent anymore. Tony Abbot would get lynched.
  16. Set the shed on fire... Actually not allowed to use a grinder outside in this weather, the sparks can start fires.
  17. Looking.....umm cant find em now. They are around somewhere, like a needle in a haystack.
  18. Exactly, thats why the low spots lift or bubble with the cheap stuff, it shrinks and lifts out of the low spot. I think the cheap stuff has its place, if you want to cover it for a short time untill you paint or something. It just doesnt last very long, 1 year for the cheap one and it needs removing.
  19. I have the whole thing if you want it. Have to dig it up and have a look how good it is
  20. Nice... i like how you kept the angle up that tabletop to not roost on that kid. Slower, but not chucking rocks at some kids face. Dont forget, if you get HEL, make sure they put the adr printed bit on the line. It is an option you have to ask for, no extra cost, but make sure.
  21. I just made sure the intake is the same height as stock, and while i was there i could see how it gets the last bit of fuel. Kinda dodgy baffles try to keep it near the pump, but a good corner or steep hill and it would run away and youd get air in the line. After pulling it out and f-ing around trying to re-seal it, i still smell fuel inside the car sometimes. Have to do it again better this time. DIY LOL
  22. Yes i have done this. You need a helper 100%, someone who is clever enough to understand how it works. The cheap stuff wont stretch as much, and wont shrink as much. So its more limited in how you can apply it. And harder to do a large area like the bonnett, without wrinkles, or big corners without having to cut and fold. The glue isnt as good so it will peel on some edges and bubble in some low spots after a while. BUT its heaps easier to remove than the good stuff. Which is important if its not going to be there forever. When i was doing my bonnett, it was winter and the end of the day, so it got too cold and ripped just as i was finishing. Even with the heat gun it needs a warm day. I see you have a 32gtst too.. the wing is a total bitch...3rd time i got it, it has to be done in 3 pieces. I have just peeled it all off for painting. It served its purpose: to cover the pad paint and unpainted dent repairs for the last 2 years. So its a shortcut instead of painting, its soft and is damaged easily, and a professional job costs as much as paint. Bonnett rip and patch, the wing, cant get around the corners properly on the front bar. Skirt went well, pod eventually got bubbles in that groove part.
  23. Hi Taylor, ever thought of doing it yourself? I like to DIY as much as i can, so my opinion is biased. And being in Australia i cant guess how much they charge for painting over there in Canada. Anyway..... the GTR has alloy front guards and bonnett, maybe other bits too, so you would have to be careful, because its so soft. Have a look at Youtube for some expert advice, also you can see how much work is involved. I like this guys vids.........http://www.youtube.com/user/restolad?feature=watch Donnie Smith is another good one. DIY can be very satisfying, and much cheaper. But there is the risk of running into difficulty or doing a bad job, so dont tackle it if your not confident and determined. And as with everything in life; education will help you make a good decision.
  24. Dont forget to wear a good respirator when painting. Those girls forgot.
