  1. Boiled the brake fluid, thats not so bad, low oil, could keep going with top ups. And my diff started leaking badly from the front seal. Better stop before i wreck it. i just spent $2000 on it. So ill get the diff fixed, and before i go again ill put new good brake fluid, and take plenty of spare oil. The basics is what i failed on, oil and brake fluid, i feel stupid. The diff is just bad luck.
  2. Motul turbolight is what i use. Everyone likes different oil. A bit of moisturising cream on the hands first, it helps to wash off the oil and stuff afterwards. Do the filter tight BY HAND not too tight or its hard to get off. Check other fluids while youre there, coolant, pwr steering, brake, clutch, maybe even check condition and level of gearbox and diff oil. Clean or replace the air filter. Change the fuel filter. Clean battery terminals, and check battery fluid levels. Some of that aircon cleaner is nice, Autobarn i think. Kills all the mould and stuff in there. Tyres, tread depth, pressure. Make sure ALL wheelnuts are tight. Have a look at how much brake pads you have left. Im sure i forgot something......
  3. Yeah, cant wait till neat time. Its good value, and the track is real fun. I think i got about 160 down the straight. Thanks for coming guys, sorry i wasnt better prepared.
  4. After Wakefield this morning, i thought about what im doing wrong. And this scene came to mind. (from one of the best films ever, in my opinion) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3T-VAi2Xqq8 My methods are unsound, if i have any method at all.
  5. So..... Boiled my brake fluid, shoulda changed that before i went. Lost half of my engine oil, dunno where it went, it happened during laps. Should have taken more spare oil. Got some more from town, and noticed my diff was extra noisy, left shaft clunks badly, the one that Toll Ipec smashed and never paid for (fck you Toll Ipec). Back at the track, i looked and saw diff oil all over the diff. Front seal leaking. Time to call it a day before i break something. Rob said; roughly 1:22, for one of my laps. Next time ill be better prepared. And ill try those Remsa pads too, they might not smoke like my Bendix pads. Ps: the Skywagon is a good support vehicle. thanks again Rob.
  6. No fine, no points lost, all good. But......... "We will be watching."
  7. Theres a song in that! Just gotta think of a tune, the chorus is there too. It's a faarrkin SkyWagon Just chuck in a tube! just chuck in a tube!

  10. Mounted the upper brackets for the window net. A good covering in foam just to be safe. A bit ugly, they will get carbon wrap tonight.
  11. Ah haha, just finished welding, drilling, grinding n stuff..... just in time for a wash tomorrow. I better remember to vacuum all the bits up.
  12. Some have plugs. And the ones that dont are hard wired. Youd be pretty game just to touch it, what if you didnt turn off the power properly? Elecricity- cant smell it, cant hear it, cant see it, when you feel it, your fried.
  13. Finished the brackets and bolted it on..... Bodicea and machineguns next?
  14. How about plan to leave Maccas at 7:15. Arrive at Wakefield about 8:00 when they open.
  15. So..... Whos going? Do you want to meet up for the drive there? The usual spot is Maccas at exhibition park (natex).
  16. Polishing is a lot of work. More than you think.
  17. Doing a window net so i can do trackdays with the window open. And a lower bumper bar to protect the front bar from speedbumps and driveways. Not finished yet. Exhaust has been re-welded, and fits better.
  18. I set myself on fire twice today. Not on purpose.
  19. About GTR boxes... I look for RB25 engines and boxes as i want to do an upgrade one day. One thing ive noticed is that GTR boxes are about half the price of an RB25 box. Usually about $900. Why are they so cheap? Im thinking of using one, if i can make it fit behind an RB25
  20. Yeah me too... im too late for this one. Do they do vented front guards for R32?
  21. Nice wheels, lower will be even better. Hope the shocks are still good, it will handle heaps better too. Cant wait to see it.
