Sounds like a cliché photo shoot opportunity. Skylines and Kebabs.

Foam lip? that sounds like a good idea. Light, soft and able to resist lots of air pressure. Mint snowfoam lance turned up today, watching the weather so i can do a wash and try it out. Might have a go at polishing and everything. Also found that Masters hardware Workzone brand pressure washers are the same fitting as Bosch. The doofus at the hardware counter said " The Bosch rep said not to use other brand products with the pressure washer, we dont have any parts, we just got them for christmas." The hose fits perfectly, its exactly the same fitting. Thanks to ignoring the idiot staff i got the right hose. So now i have 11m pressure hose and good accessories.

Wakefield Speed Off The Streets

Friday, sounds good. Got a hole in my front right tyre, its not all the way through, but it is into the belt. Been doing some research, and there is a good method of repairing from inside the tyre. However it may not be good enough for Wakefield. This: A punctured speed rated tire brings with it additional considerations. While some tire manufacturers "allow" a tire to retain its speed rating if a specified multi-step repair procedure is followed exactly, most tire manufacturers reason that since they have no control over the damage caused by the puncture or the quality of the repair, they cannot confirm that the tire has retained its high speed capability. Therefore, their policy is that a punctured and repaired tire no longer retains its speed rating and should be treated as a non-speed rated tire. -
Yeah, the plug is easy, ive got plenty, and the tools. Used them heaps myself, as im a tradesman, ute on a building site gets a few every year. Its just that it may not be good enough for 160kmh with hard braking and cornering at Wakefield. Better safe than sorry i say. And ive learned that the hard way.

Im thinking then the only annoying bit would be if its got coolant lines, then you have to drain the coolant. Oh and some of those bolts holding it together would be tricky to access. I have ratchet spanners and stuff to get to annoying bolts if you need. i found a good trick is polish it real good, spray with good clear bonding agent paint, then gloss clear over that. Polished forever.

Morning.... i see whos up early too. Mine was up at 5:45. Anyway, id look at how long all hoses and things are and if they will reach the new location. Also the ends of them have to fit the fittings on the plenum. Throttle cable too. TPS would need a wiring extension. And intercooler pipe with a bov and return line for that. Hang on... RB26 has throttle bodies.. so.. um... dunno. Id have to look. New gaskets would be a good idea Im just assuming its forward facing... is it?

But you cant, its gotta be just right. It can be a real pain finding a good spot for on or off road. My Tmaxx got taken out by a brick at a building site. Full boar second gear, didnt see it till it was too late. After that i never went back to nitro 85 amps from a lipo got me hooked on them and brushless motors. Instant full power, more than nitro, its nuts. So easy to build a car thats way too fast.

The old 32's aye. Yeah, and when you use a multimeter it makes no sense. I gave up and re wired it all. New head unit, parcel shelf, a big amp, and 4 160w 6x9's The advantage of that is being able to use good quality cable. Are the speakers totally fried? -
did you machine the flywwheel? was it torqued up correctly? Pressure plate needs a very long process of torqing up in the right pattern. was everything totally clean, real clean? Just enough of the right grease in just the right spots? I did all this first, and still it wasnt easy. The clutch fork can pop off and jam as your putting the box back on. Did it to me about 4 times before i got it. My gearbox was on and off a few times before i got everything together right. What a pain. RB20 box was heavy enough for me, yours must be heavier.

Found this in my tyre, it wasnt all the way in cos there was a plastic head, see imprint in tyre. The bottom part looks like it was into the belt as its chewed up. Im wondering how much rubber is left at the bottom of the hole? And when will it leak? So i can put a plug in there, but i dont want to put a hole if i dont have to. Opinions anyone? Oh.. and i use these tyres at Wakefield, i get about 160 down the straight.

Ahh.... i thought it was just danger of the gas igniting. A boiling exploding battery in the face would be.... um..... bad. Good tip to remember, thanks. And i think i should get some protection, some welding mats and an apron. And something to stop those hot bits going down inside my boots. Ow! -

He said your learning to DIY.... Good stuff. Hacking out some steel with Rob thisarvo, making a strutbrace for the skywagon. The tricky bit is done, just needs a little trim to fit. Rob, ever done mig welding? Wanna have a go? You can practice first. Im not much good at it, but its fun shooting drops of molten metal at 50Hz. -

Oh, those Nulon instructions seem like the best way to clean the pistons. Mine didnt say to do that. Hmmmm...... Foaming too... not carbie cleaner. And yeah the Volvo got filthy 10 minutes after i washed it, and the 32 didnt get dried, so it was filthy too from going wet into a dusty shed. Total tools had a 7/64 or something allen key that is a stupid American weird ass size. Only place i could find one. They have a VERY large selection of tools. Good brands too. You will like. -

I got Threebond upper engine cleaner, apparently its the exact same product as the Subaru one. You can get it at Repco. Its nice and smooth when cruising around, i can feel the difference. I think what you got is basically carbie cleaner. Which is real good for fuel deposits and gunk in the inlet. I dont know if it cleans inside the combustion chamber as well. Mechanic in a can is never as good as pulling it apart and cleaning it properly. But so much easier... its a pity they are only good for maintenance not repair. Also tried my foaming brush today, too much water, not enough foam. Maybe i can adjust something and get it working.
