Try owning a 32. Every second thing you take off breaks or is totally stuffed. Anything plastic is so fragile form age, buy a new one before it comes off, cos they always break. Thats why half my interior is carbon wrapped.

You mean Silvia's? They do seem like an enthusiastic bunch of guys.

Washed off the dust. Tried that upper engine cleaner. Seems a little better, cant really tell. -

Santa brought a pressure washer and the lance should complete my growing detailing kit. I can use my car to learn paint correction, before i respray. -

Scares the sht out of you doesnt it..... And thats why you drive with appropriate safety margins. You know what i mean? Like enough room to stop or dodge, when sht goes wrong. And it will go wrong sooner or later. Not just other cars, but you driving down a road vs the environment. Its good when you can learn without paying for it. (crashed car or broken bones) -

Put some fresh oil in the diff, and went for a cruise. Very happy with my alignment. One thing i need to fix is a very slight drift to the left. But it feels like a Ducati. Ever ridden one? Man, they just drop into the corners and stick there. The way they sort of suck you down and balance at the lowest point, feels soooo gooood..... now my 32 is a bit like that. A little tweaking and it will be perfect. -
Want for R32: Drivers side door trim, 'a' pillar trim, 'b' pillar trim.

No spark sux on an injected car. So many wires, earths and plugs to check. Youll find it eventually. Ps: Have you seen those bluetooth ODB plug things? You can do diagnostic with the i phone now.

Thats interesting...... the fuel thing. I wonder if it would have something to do with the fuel and the oil on the cylinder wall from the rings. You know how if its too rich it cleans off the oil lubricating the piston in the cylinder? Thats what ive heard anyway. Different fuel may have a different viscosity or something. And you said the plugs were clean? That would suggest an oil leak after the plugs, or during the exhaust stroke. Like the turbo exhaust side oil seal, or, exhaust valve stem seals. Anyway maybe you should get someone to confirm its still smoking before pulling it apart.
-
Would it have anything to do with clouds of oil smoke billowing out your exhaust? And, yes it was oil for sure, i could taste it, more than that i was choking on the sht, if you were in my car youd agree its oil.

Didnt do anything today, just a couple of photos of what i did last week: Dunno about that upper front bracket, it doesnt seem safe for non race days. Because the bar fits in the back, theres no padding there. However thats the place your head would hit in a front ender. Its a long way away, but in a crash, seatbelts stretch and cars bend, so.... its probably not safe. I might have to scrap the window net idea, and save it for when i put a cage in there. And i just butchered the trims to do it.......... -
I have a 32 and i put the battery in the boot. I got a nice big 650 cca battery. Got a box, a vent line, and 0 gauge cable to the engine bay. Good solid earths all over the place. And gold plated terminals help deliver good current. Often the factory cable isnt really big enough. Mines never had a problem since. Jaycar has a real cheap voltmeter, it helps you see whats going on.

Bike Vs car? Actually most are not bikies, 99% are not bikies. My 86 year old dad still rides his Beamers. My yuppie brother rides Italian bikes, and i love my 2 stroke dirt bikes. Cops generally (except the bike cops) dont know enough about bikes to defect them. RTA go nuts on bikes. But its the same as a car, you can put the rego muffler on to pass defects/rego. And most people who ride are very interested in having a roadworthy bike, its much safer. A bald front tyre can kill you easy on a bike. Ps: see the rebs at the year 10 formal? I wonder why they were there? I thought about them targeting hot cars and bikes to steal, someone suggested they try to sell drugs to schoolkids, which wouldnt surprise me. More likely, one of their kids was there. But they have to make a scene, attention seekers. I know 2 ex bikies, who have told me ALL about it, so i dont have a good opinion of them. /counter rant

"oh nar bro everything has bin dun aye" Classic. Whats on the inside of the filter is most important. I get my oil filters from the Filter Factory in fyshwick, they are the best quality. Easy. They can look up the info on your motor and sell you the perfect filter for it. Choosing oil: you can go see a reputable RB mechanic (Trojan) for advice as the condition of your engine may affect choice. Go the random fonts, whats up with that?

i think it was the new oil filter and issues getting a good reading off the dipstick. So it wasnt filled properly or something.
