  1. Based on the above reasoning of only driving what is most practical, then we should all be driving corollas or VF sixes. Come on fellas. I have been driving mine daily for more the 6 years and couldn't be happier, love getting in the thing, love driving the thing, love the whole package. Keeping up the maintenance is so cheap too. The most expensive thing is changing 7 litres of oil every 5000. Sure its not a family car because its not meant to be. I think most of the issues come with drivers hitting the limiter and breaking oil pumps or trying to push engines and drive trains to the limit with stock parts and crap tunes just to get big numbers, but u start doing that with any car you will break stuff, speaking from experience. As for all the other small plastic crap, bolts, fittings and crap that is aging, just jump onto rhd japan or nengun with a list of what u need and doesn't cost that much really or get off ur arse and pull shit out and make them pretty if that's what you like. Skyline GTRs are the best, the only thing that would be as fun to drive would be an AE86 with a welded diff, maybe.
  2. Just buy a GTR, put a massive turbo on it and thrash the fk out of it daily. Even if u bought it 20k and had to spend 30k on it you will still have a supercar for less than half the money of a all the hi-tech rubbish that's out now. There is not one car under 100k that can even come close to the driving experience of a GTR. Shoot me down, I don't give a shit, but for value for money in regards to performance, driving pleasure and overall experience, you can't get better.
  3. I am talking about an overall package. Heads, cams, bottom end, oil pump etc etc. Fully built not just a set of forgies. Just because the pump is the same capacity doesn't mean it is as efficient. But looking at what the OP stated in the above post, I think it is very wise to make the decision to put more effort into drive line, brakes and suspension if he wants to track it, and if he reaches a stage in the future that he needs more low end torque then so be it... But I doubt it. Anyway each to there own, not getting into this debate again, I think it's been thrashed out enough in other threads. What the OP should do is maybe drive/passenger all three and make a choice as nothing is better than a bum on seat experience. Can't make a wrong choice if its the choice you want to make, all of them are winners IMHO.
  4. Pretty much. I think there is a misconception that a built 26 performs the same as a stocker. Worlds apart if done right. And the other driveline/suspension mods to suit your application makes for a very fast and efficient car.
  5. So go a 30 then. Why skimp out on 200cc on next to nothing, Rather sell the 26 less what u need, get a 30 get it built and $ to play with. You can get a fully forged and assembled 30 bottom end for 4k which is less than the parts of stroker kit. Any each to their own I suppose. Choices, choices and more choices. We are pretty blessed to have so many options.
  6. Have driven strokers and 30s. Nothing wrong with a well set up 26. If you want cubes then go a 30 and be done with it.
  7. I like my black and white CRT TV.
  8. That's because Josh knows, The 26 rules Forever......... Mwahahahaha. If your setup is laggy you are in the wrong gear. [emoji2] [emoji2] [emoji2] [emoji2] [emoji2] [emoji2]
  9. $USD320 delivered. Price has dropped fellas, sorry.
  10. You can buy it direct for AUD$420 right?
  11. Too laggy [emoji1]
  12. Dynos gives u info in one gear and WOT.On the street you never load up 4th at 2000 rpm at WOT and wait for boost. Real world is different to a dyno.

  14. How long is a piece of string.Stock LS2 with a snail , wouldn't say no.
  15. Just a note if you already haven't replaced them are the two plastic connectors on the firewall. One at the back of the plenum which just connects two water hoses and the other behind the cam cover for the heater hose junction. They are prone to fall apart from the inside and flick plastic pieces into your coolant system. Well worth replacing if you haven't already.
  16. This. ^^^^^
  17. VPW EPPING, but for peace of mind you could get high pressure hydraulic/oil lines made up at enzed or pirtek.
  18. Tbh I would be putting in more fuel. 12.6 at wot seems borderline. You would be safer at mid to low 11 before, during and after peak torque and lean it off a bit up top.
  19. Is that to me or zebra? Just stated a fact that's all, no dick waving here, just a shame some people perceive a post that way because they have a dick up their arse, and yes evos are great cars but u can't push them like you can push an rb in stock form. By the way zebra never seen an rb blow up by turning the wipers on, dickwad.
  20. Yeah evo rods are amazing, boost the thing, see if i give a crap. Metal recyclers will love you.
  21. Wouldnt be pushing an evo too hard as their rods are like tooth picks. I have seen a few end up like this when the customer decides he doesnt want to listen to the tuner.
  22. Got my exhaust for sale. Stainless steel cat back straight through direct bolt on exhaust. No modifications needed and all the hangers are in the factory position. Came off my R33 GTR running twins -5s 350 awkws running 24 psi. Exhaust is perfect condition and sits nicely tucked up not like generic skyline systems. It bolts up to the factory 3 inch cat and opens to 3.5 inch system and is finished off with a large cannon and a 4.5 inch titanium look tip. (So direct bolt on) Included is a variable active tail pipe silencer which is an authentic Apexi item. How it works is, The 'Active' Tail Silencer opens as the pressure increases to provide free high flowing exhaust flow when power and torque is required but reduces volume through restriction during times of low pressure. These features help to reduce noise when required but not hinder performance when desired. Features - Automatic valve operation based on pressure from vehicle - Inner structure reduces exhaust resistance with high revolution - High quality iconel spring used for superior heat resistance. - Ball plunger type valve So you really have the best of both worlds, free flowing when needed and silent when cruising, but if you like it loud just unbolt the silencer in 2 minutes. PRICE $600 Cash on pick up preferred Melbourne. Any questions just message me. Thank you
