I've got a letter stating that my car is exempt from ADR's (apart from seat belts and a few other minor things) It has to adhere to the Road Traffic Act and the Road Traffic Regulations. Road Traffic Act says only that a car must be 'safe' which comes down to no obvious mechanical defects (ie broken shit) and that it must adhere to the Road Traffic Regulations. Road Traffic Regulations say minimum 100mm clearance, under 90db, 1.5mm tyre tread, and that ADR's must be adhered to. BUT it also says that if a vehicle is exempt ADR's under any other statute that is applicable in this jurisdiction (which my car is) then they are exempt from that section. Ie I'm soooo keeping this car now

I've got rims I can reverse to get a silly amount of dish like that, and I think i can do it legally because my car is exempt from ADR's, but to fit wheels with that much negative offset I'd need to chop off part of my guards under a set of fibreglass flares wouldnt I?

I think they are over powered for the standard suspension brakes and tyres so theyre out of the sports car league, but a bit too hard edged to really be a GT (not to mention theyre tiny inside) so I'll go muscle car. Plus the idea of a Japanese muscle car amuses me lol

Doing it the way he did doesnt sound at all dodgy to me, much hbetter to tune it for those conditions, then you can be sure it wont expire in summer. Intercooler is just a heat sink in any case, even without a fan it should be ok for a single run because while the car is idling before you run its not getting any heat transferred to it so it starts cool My stock boost FJ20 made 124 in shootout mode

I'm looking at maybe replacing my DR30 with a Cefiro, but I'm not sure how much fuel it would use in comparison. I usually do a tad under 500km a week around town, and at the moment I'm getting 10.3L/100km from the FJ20ET

L series are sweet engines... Its all about the noise HR30 PNE's are hardly old shitters... the brakes are a bit smaller than my DR30, their engine sounds better than my FJ20 and they have the same interior but in better colours

What is the cage for? An alloy bolt in is hardly going to do anything in an accident and you're not going to want to hit your head on it in a small collision, it will crack your skull

I'm in two minds over whether I should keep my car... I'd like to stick a new ECU in it, front mount, up the boost and get the struts modified.... But I'm also thinking a lot about Cefiros and VR4's.......

Soi you really only need a bigger turbo, IC, injectors, exhaust and an ecu to get them going?

Changed the brake discs yesterday, just waiting for them to wear in.... hopefully I'll be able to slow down now lol
